    They are nice photo's :)

I would rather see "revealing" internal shots, with the skins off - a technical expose on the internals with annotated description of user options.

Maybe have those technical shots show up in the image gallery rotation first?

From this set, my favorite one is the on the bench. It details the brushed aluminum finish quite nicely:

However, right now, all of the images on the product page are nature photos. For a high end laptop I think most people are interested in what the inside of the laptop looks like. I think this image, which shows off the fact that the notebook contains a CPU socket and MXM GPU, should also be included in the set:

Lastly, perhaps one additional image showing off the heatsink assembly would be nice.

If that is possible i'm all for it.. I'm pretty active on here so I would be more inclined to update my first 3 posts with detailed information as it comes in. I feel like most of this thread have pretty much the same questions found and answered in the other thread. I would like to include some information from this thread into the other one though.. Let me know how to proceed @ryzeki and @ALLurGroceries

As far as I know, no, the hardware to switch to the iGPU isn't there. The dGPU is always on.

According to Hardware Canucks, ~3 hours of battery life using PCMark's "work" preset (Word, Excel, web browsing), ~2 hours using the "creative" preset (photo editing, video encoding, streaming), and ~1.5 hours gaming.

If you want even more battery life, you could also make low-power profiles (i.e. downclock the CPU/GPU when unplugged).

Personally, for my needs, I treat this system closer to a "portable desktop" than a notebook. The battery is there mainly to act as a UPS, but I typically always have the system plugged in, so I am not concerned about battery life.

Exactly. Unfortunately, this would be almost impossible to merge coherently, since we can't re-order the posts. I'm open to suggestions on whether to leave it open or close it with a link to the other thread. I don't really have an opinion on that one. ;)

Usually on MSI (and some other OEMs too) it's the "Del" button. If that doesn't work, you can try F10 or F2. I don't own the notebook to try though :p

Delete. The timing is weird, just keep tapping delete on the splash screen.

I get an upwards of 4+ hours when I limit my clockspeed to 3.1ghz (mimicking a 6700HQ). Using around 50% brightness.

@ElCaptainX what do you want to do? Do you want to close this thread with a link to the owner's lounge for this machine? At least then people can read through this later and then pick up over at the owner's lounge. Let us know.

I vote to close, to keep discussions focused in one location. If you look at the very first post, the original question that started this thread has been answered already, correct?

You can adjust using XTU or TS even without Svet's BIOS. The modded BIOS simply allows you to do it outside of Windows.

I use Throttlestop to undervolt and change clockspeed on the fly in Windows.. I have it so the moment I unplug and on battery it changes to my battery saver profile automatically and lowers clockspeed and changes to a more agressive undervolt of -180/-180 core/cache... Works quite well and gives me surprisingly good battery life for such a beast.

Does anyone know how to get the Windows 7 installer to recognize any Flash Drives? Apparently I can boot the Windows 7 installer from my bootable SanDisk USB, but it can't read an identical SanDisk USB for some reason and I tried using different ports. How am I supposed to get the drivers in when they're mostly for windows 10 and the installer can't even read the USB when I go to browse for it?

I have the boot option on Legacy Mode and the other two options are UEFI and UEFI with CMS.
I left the SATA mode on ACHI, because the other one is RAID. That's all I have to mess with in the BIOS for now. The Windows 7 installer doesn't recognize my USBs at all and the HDD only has a boot partition in it for now.

I agree.. I think we should close this one and keep it centralized from now on. But to be fair, we need to see what the OP wants to do.

If your machine has only USB 3.0 ports, use this tool on your Windows 7 USB installation media and it will add USB 3.0 support. It's the only way I can get Windows 7 to install on a machine with only USB 3.0 ports.
