So my laptop originally was with the Intel 8265NGW I upgraded it and put it on the new Intel 9260NGW and now I will upgrade it with Intel AX200 NGWG. I checked the interface I think it will happen should try. So far I am quite pleased with this 9260NGW, but it's important to have upgrades.
I need to buy Intel AX200 NGWG (No vPro) because my processor not supported vPro, i checked this in Intel.
The price is only 15 pounds.Last edited: Apr 6, 2019 -

Is the AX200 available Now for purchase in your area,London?
Is the 15 pounds a retail price or is it the price on Intel's UK site that they sell to partners in trays of 10,000? -
Not Available now, is show me after 1 week is available to buy in few places for 15 pound. Yes London.

I've been checking the usual suspects daily but have yet to find any production AX200 sellers.
Who will be the 1st here on the forum to spot a seller with stock for immediate shipping?
I've got 20 days left on my RAX120 30 day trial -
Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
Hopefully they'll cost less than $30 when they finally appear... That's about as much as I'm ready to pay for a single card. )'=

I see Killer already has drivers for 1650 WLAN/BT at killer's website.
@Killer_Networking Any spec sheet? Or is it Intel or qualcomm or broadcomm part?jaybee83 likes this. -

I can tell you that the 1650 will be Intel-based. Unfortunately, I don't get spec sheets until after the product is released, so we don't have that available yet. When we do, it will be here - https://www.killernetworking.com/products/

Nice post Ultra Male.I was reading that article on my Googe phone when you made the post.
Maybe start a new thread.....Introducing the Killer AX1650 or wait for one to review?
Here's the Killer 1650 page on the killernetworking site.
Now we just need the cards.I'll buy the Intel AX200 or the Killer 1650 depending on which one I can buy first.
I'd consider a new notebook with a 9th generation CPU,an RTX2070 and a double shot E3000/Killer 1650

My Alienware Area-51m has the Killer E3000 so I am thinking of getting the Killer 1650 to pair it with. Do you think it will fit in my laptop or will it be a new form factor?
Can't wait till we find somewhere to order them man. -
Same M.2 form factor. It’s just an AX200/201.
There will also be other additional versions such as the soldered type cards seen in the like of the XPS 13 and other ultra books.Attached Files:

wifi adapter reviews are usually few and far between, unfortunately...

I reached out to my contacts at Rivet Networks about whether the Monday announcement was a paper launch or if the Killer AX1650 will soon be available to end users.
The reply I got stated that the AX1650 was already on it's way to Amazon in the US and would be listed when they received them at the warehouses.
So if you're interested in the Killer AX1650 keep an eye out on Amazon for the listing.Last edited: Apr 17, 2019jaybee83 likes this. -
I upgraded my 13 R3 to a 9260 a few weeks ago and have a desktop with an older chip that I wanted to upgrade. Guess I will be waiting it out!

Which wireless router are you going to use with these wireless cards?
Your Intenet downloads and uploads will still be tied to your Internet service and the sites you are connecting to plus time of day,day of week,Internet traffic, your settings, channel selection etc. -

The KILLER AX1650 is available on the US Amazon site for pre-ordering.
Amazon states the AX1650 will be available for shipping on April 27,2019 at $35.00 each.
That's $5.00 more than the Killer 1550 was at launch on Amazon.
I guess we can wail for the Intel AX200 on ebay to be cheaper from China or a higher price on Newegg.
I bit the bullet and ordered it!

If I change my AC1550 for the new AX1650, is it better to uninstall the bluetooh drivers and the Killer software before or just to mount the new one will it be recognized?
Although I do not have a Wifi Router 6, I would consider buying it and I like that the new Killer card ensures to consume less. -
It won’t really reduce power usage without an ax (WiFi 6) router. The Intel AX200 (Killer 1650) will effectively perform similar to the Intel 9260ac (Killer 1550) in your case as you have an ac (WiFi 5) router. With ax routers faster transfers/communication mean the card can go back into standby/sleep faster thus saving power.
Some additional WiFi 6 power saving/spectral efficiency features like Target Wake Time and BSS Coloring are missing in current crop of ax routers.
As for drivers yeah just to be safe reinstall after the card is put in. But if you have the latest drivers (installer version) installed yes it should just auto detect without issue/without requiring any driver changes.Last edited: Apr 22, 2019Starlight5 and Pepillo like this. -

It appears that the first batch of Killer AX1650 on Amazon have sold out.A second batch will be in stock on May 2nd.
I'll probably do a clean installs with Windows 10 x64 Pro Release Candidate build 1903.
I don't see any newer drivers than the Intel Wireless Proset v21.10.0.2

The Killer AX1650 is very close to being in consumers hands with a possibility the 1st few being delivered this weekend but the Intel AX200 that was launched at the beginning of April has yet to appear on ebay or any other source that I have found..
How much will the AX200 sell for from the China sellers on ebay?
It's not even a pre-order option from pc customizers or OEMs.
I had an Intel 9260 weeks before the Killer 1550 appeared on Amazon last year. -
Unofficial sales might start next month, since it’s now available to OEMs. Some OEMs are showing models with the AX200 for pre order with for example Razer showing May 8th as the earliest shipping date, and showing only for models with 9th Gen CPUs. I guess the big guys are also waiting to update CPU/WiFi at the same time in new models hence the delay due to supply constraints.
I don’t think smaller integrators will get these cards till the big brands get their orders/supply fulfilled. Hopefully side sales from factories will start soon.
Unlike going from the 8265ac to 9260ac I feel this seems like a bigger hardware change for companies (and marketing wise) as this also supports a new WiFi gen so initial/immediate demand must be pretty high as it’s also the only WiFi 6 adapter available for computers. The Qualcomm ax competitor; QCA 6390 is not out yet either (other than for integration testing by manufacturers) so yeah I can imagine the demand.
I ordered off Amazon as well (I wanted to wait for the non-Killer (not a fan) branded version of the Intel AX200 but didn’t have patience lol.) I know I won’t see a very big gain vs the 9260ac throughout wise (expecting a 20-25% boost) but I like testing.Last edited: Apr 24, 2019WhatsThePoint likes this. -

Oh,I know the feeling!
I didn't really care whether it's a Killer branded card or an Intel;what I was taken back by was the Killer AX1650 price increase over the Killer 1550.
The $5.00 increase is hardly a deal breaker plus it's the only game in town right now for early adapters.Aivxtla likes this. -
And here I am with an ISP-supplied router that supports only 802.11n technology.
Still on ADSL copper telephone internet delivery in 2019 here in Australia. I may as well as be on 802.11b or g, since my internet has a max bandwith of 11 mega-bits/second.
Let's not forget our upcoming NBN. What a joke. -

My 2 Killer AX1650 wireless cards arrived late yesterday afternoon via Amazon next day delivery.I'll be putting one in an MSI GS60 notebook that's about 5 years old and the other in a custom built gaming desktop inside a pcie x1 adapter later today.I'll be pairing them with a Netgear RAX120 WiFi 6 router.

Pretty reasonable prices on eBay, in my opinion. As soon as I sell one or both of my 9260's, I'll grab one of those.

This morning I found 5 Intel AX200 sellers on ebay, all from China with the lowest price being $24.50 USD.That's close to a $10.00 saving over the Killer AX1650 on Amazon but the shipping times from China are between 2 weeks and one and a half months.
My Killer AX1650 cards came Friday April 26th next day FREE with Amazon Prime offered on Thursday April 25th.
I cancelled my original Amazon order that was not expected to arrive until tomorrow April 29th or Tuesday April 30th.
If I remember correctly my Intel 9260 from China arrived about 20 days after ordering.jaybee83 likes this. -
Cancelled my second AX1650 and ordered 2 AX200s ($13 each) plus shipping for same price as 1 AX1650, directly from Provantage though it will take time to ship. Provantage I know unlike some of those eBay sellers won’t factory discarded/side production units. Plus easy returns if we get defectives.
Funny thing on Amazon I placed my first AX1650 order on 4/21 but that showed as “will arrive on 5/3” and was not shipped yet. Then I placed a second order on 4/27 and that shows as “will arrive 4/29” and was shipped yesterday. I ended up canceling the first. Not sure how that worked, looks like preorder doesn’t mean first come first serve lol.Attached Files:

Just bought an ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 to try out the new AX Standard. I searched for the Nighthawk AX12 here in Dubai but no one is selling it and I'd rather buy something with local support than ordering it online.
Setting this Rapture is probably the easiest setup I've come across in any router. Just entered my ISP username/pass, chose the Wireless SSDI and bam, I was ready to surf.
I did also enable the AiProtection, don't know if that hurts performance or not. Do y'all have any experience with it?Dennismungai likes this. -
You should be fine with AI Protection (Trend Micro). It sends any suspicious packet info to Tren Micro for analysis. Most people have no issues with it. Some have had latency/streaming issues a while back. I personally disable all that but honestly just keep it on unless you face any such issues. I personally haven’t seen those I know with Asus routers having any issues with AI Protect.
As for your purchase I think it’s a better buy than the RAX120 (love the Qualcomm chipset in the 120), because there is more to a router than just great hardware. Asus has a better overall product due to the software and extra options that give you more control over your hardware.
The AX11000 is practically the same as the unreleased RAX200 in terms of CPU/WiFI chipset etc just that they have different board layout, external looks and branding. The Asus is not only cheaper but you get things like third party VPN support and VPN split tunneling. You can choose which devices get VPN and which devices bypass it. Asus also has much better monitoring features and gives more control over the QoS function. You can also see real-time link rates of individual clients in the router UI.
Lastly RMerlin is beloved in the Asus community for his custom firmware and seems Asus is actually pretty supportive of him so do try his firmware if you want. RMerlin is a mod on SNBForums infact.
TLDR: Good purchase and leave AI protect on unless you face issues.Dennismungai and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

Thanks man, I am using Smart Connect. Is there a way to find out if my laptop (INVADER) is connected to the 160hz or the regular one?
-
Look at the image again you see in the signal part where it shows Ethernet, 2.4, 5G-1 and 5G-2 , that tells you which band you are on. Looks like your laptop is on 5G-2.

So I'm assuming 5G-2 is the new 160hz band? -
Before I say something wrong, go to this page and show the setup. I have more experience with the AC88U. But both 5G-1 and 5G-2 bands should be able to support HT160.
Difference on Triband routers vs Dual Band routers is that in Triband the 5Ghz band is split in such a way that one radio covers (ie 36-52) the lower half and the other (149-167) the upper half of the 5Ghz spectrum.Attached Files:

Here's how mine looks like:
-
I was expecting HE frame support (AX) in that image.
Go to the WiFi settings and enable HT160 for both 5Ghz bands, if it isn’t already. It should show HT160 availability for both. From the looks of the very first image your laptop is in 866Mbps link rate.Attached Files:

Thanks for the tip, they were enabled by default
-
I would assume HT160 is enabled on both 5Ghz bands but it’s hard to tell if it’s working with Smart Connect enabled.
Looks like that’s as far as I can help you without being able to look at it in person. I suggest you go to SNBForums and specifically ask RMerlin himself.
Sorry I wasn’t much help.Last edited: May 11, 2019Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

I tagged Merlin but he still didn't reply. Another d00d replied and told me to check the link speed in Windows that would tell me if I'm actually connected with the new 160hz standard and the first time I connected the links speed was only 865MBPS but now it shows 1.2GBPS so I guess I'm good
