I have this card but the bluetooth does not fully work. Devices can find it and pair with but the file transfer does not work.

Bluetooth 4.0 has issues that hopefully will be resolved with 4.1

What exactly are you trying to do on Bluetooth?

OK. I have been able to pair new devices to it. I recently got a ps4 controller and it paired to my laptop and i was able to play games with it using the bluetooth connection. However, whenever i want to send a file to my phone or vice versa it always fails. No notification even comes up on the next device indicating its trying to connect.

been looking for days now on everyone's take on this card. After all the posts, still can't determine if this card is worth it. Is it worth the extra 20 bucks or just go with the standard card? Here are my 2 choices:
Most just looking for stability and speed with wireless...
    Thanks.

Do you use screen mirroring onto a smart tv?

If you do then the AC-7265 might be a better choice with Intel's Wi-Di

You can also wait for the Intel AC-8260 with Bluetooth 4.2 and other improvements

If you transfer a lot of file acooss the home network then the N1525/N1535 will be better

For downloading from the Internet there's no difference

Has anyone seen the Intel 8260 online? I'm struggling with my wifi adapter in my laptop, and I haven't been able to find either the Killer N1535 or the Intel 8260 for sale. Any ideas?

Does somebody know the reason why non the Killer 1525 or Killer 1535 comes in a different format than M.2?

I would like to upgrade my intel 7260 but unfortunately I can't if it's not in "mini PCIe"...

hey guys so I brought the intel ac 8260 from amazon and just installed it on my PC (desktop with a m2 slot). I am having trouble getting the bluetooth to work, i installed the driver/software from the intel site.

wireless works fine but device manager says "generic bluetooth device", saying its disabled because problems was reported. I tried using intel auto detect driver utility, said nothing found for my drivers. I tried to force a driver install by downloading the intel bluetooth driver, after which my bluetooth started flashing and my computer made the bluetooth pairing noise every 2 seconds (drove me crazy). Now I am stumped...

This is the driver you need, uninstall the WLAN and Bluetooth Drivers then reboot

then install the WLAN driver then reboot

then install the Bluetooth Driver in folder BT not BT2

    Windows 7 Driver

    Windows 8.1 Driver

    Windows 10 Driver

Read through the tread here, thanks for all the good info from everyone.

I've got a question about this card (the Killer 1525) in my MSI GS60.

What sort of speeds should I expect these wifi cards to run at? I know they "link" at 866Mbps, and I get great signal strength, but how fast should it actually run downstream?

For example, I have 300Mbps internet, and wired through router I get speed test results of 300-350Mbps all day long, and Steam will download games at 40-45MB/s.

When using the Killer 1525 wifi, linked to a Netgear Nighthawk X8 router, my speed test results are slower at 100-150Mbps, and Steam downloads at 15-25MB/s.

Is this normal and how it's suppose to be? It never really came up until I recently upgraded my internet speeds from 50Mbps to 300Mbps. Now, I'm just curious if my card isn't performing properly, or if wifi simply maxes out around 100-150Mbps in real world usage.

I've done the basics like connect at 5Ghz, check frequencies and channels for conflicts, max performance under power management etc, and best I can tell things are set up properly. Running latest drivers on 1525 and my router firmware. I even just bought the router to see if it might have been my old router simply getting slower.

Thanks for any insights. For what it's worth, my Surface Pro 3 with it's Marvel wifi adapter speed tests around 200-260Mbps.

No. No. And No. This thread was all about locating the extremely difficult to obtain Qualcomm-Atheros M.2 2x2 802.11ac wifi card... during a time period where this was extremely difficult ~ Fall of 2014.

For BASIC/GENERIC WiFi troubleshooting, look elsewhere. M.2/NGFF is nothing but a mere interface that provides more bandwidth for upcoming WiFi cards. IIRC it is PCIe 2.0 x2. Which is up to 10 Gbps. --- We have yet to see any card that is capable of providing throughput near this theoretical max.

I have an 802.11ac dual band 2x2 mimo MiniPCIe AzureWave card in my Lenovo T420. When I connect to my ASUS RT-AC66R router and pull from my file server (which is connected by 1.0 Gbps ethernet -- I am able to transfer files at around 45 MB/s when I have everything configured properly.

Bare in mind that this speed is going to be much like the write speeds of any usb flash memory/microsd. -- While you may be able to achieve the advertised write speeds of 15 MB/s -- The moment that you also try to write a 128 KB jpeg while you're copying bulk data (900 MB android roms for example) is the moment that things will come to an absolute halt.

On a lighter note... has anyone else able to find one of these cards for less than $25 shipped?

This thread is called "Killer N1525 Wireless-AC", it's about the card in question and therefore is the right place to ask questions regarding this particular card.
This "take your basic questions elsewhere" attitude is not necessary and not appreciated.

    The question will stay here.

Not sure why you'd think my question regarding my "Killer n1525 wireless AC card" in a "Killer n1525 wireless AC" titled thread would be so off topic to warrant such a response, but I've been around these boards awhile... and I know that's not what this place is about. I simply wanted real world feedback from people that have had these cards day to day for a while and their observed results.

Thanks, I don't frequent this section often but love these boards... not used to getting blasted for questions or input. I saw this thread was still somewhat current (2 months), so thought it a good place to ask.

Thanks for any thoughts or input from owners.

Guys, i'm in real trouble . I have a MSI GS70 laptop wich has a killer 1525 card. I have some issues with it. Most of the time my card just disappears from device manager and I can't do anything to make it work. I have the latest version of BIOS, I reinstalled the Windows twice, even tried to go back to Windows 7. Nothing fixed it. I mean, at the moment my wifi card is "not found", but tomorrow morning when I'm going to start my laptop I'm sure it will work until the first shut down or something. I couldn't find any pattern for this STRANGE Behavior. I mean.. As I said, sometimes my wifi card shows in device manager and everything is fine and sometimes it just doesn't .Did anyone had this issue yet ?

    Hi staticrzr,

I saw your comment about the problem with the completely random availability of the WiFi card. Did you manage find a solution? I have exactly the same issue and it's completely annoying. My laptop is a MSI GS70 stealth pro.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, Has anyone had a problem installing and reinstalling your network driver? I have noticed that when I uninstall my killer network driver from programs and features and also in the device manager and then install the killer suite again what will happen is that I can connect to the network but no internet connection. I have also tried uninstall the network driver and installing the killer driver standard without the bloatware from the device manager and still I can connect to my wifi network and still no internet connection. I was stuck without a internet connection for awhile. Also I have tried using the windows troubleshooting program to fix the problem and it stated it is a network driver issue and cannot fix the problem. Also I have tried using the driver which windows automatically install and I cannot connect to my network. what a bummer. My only way to get my internet connection back is to load my backup image using macrium reflect. Has anyone encountered this problem? Please help solve this issue. Thanks alot.

I have exactly the same issue as both these guys. I opened my laptop to see if the card was not connected properly, however, all the connectors seem to be in place, properly, not moving and not loose by any means. I'm fairly sure that this is a driver issue, I've read something about "drivers going into deep sleep mode". Sometimes repeatedly restarting or repeatedly installing the drivers again fixes the issue.

I now tried to contact Killer to see if they can solve the issue, I'll post here again may there ever be a response from them.

I tried the latest driver from Killer, Killer AC1535 WLAN Driver v12.0.0.270 but it was randomly disconnecting.

I then used the latest driver for this WLAN card from Clevo, Killer WLAN Driver v12.0.0.260 and no more disconnects.

Mind you, I always only install the driver via device manager without the Killer app

Just to be clear, you were experiencing the exact same issue where Device Manager showed the device as disconnected (Code 45) and the wireless network adapter didn't show in "Network adapters"?

And I have the 1525, not the 1535, I'm not sure if there is such a difference between them?

Does somebody has info about the Killer 1435? It is a Mini PCI-E half size?

Edit: Sorry seems that the Killer 1420 was the last Mini PCI-E half size card made by them.

Hello everyone, I bought dell xps 13 9360 with the killer 1535 in usa. I am curious if this wifi support channels over channel 12. I am back in EU and I don't see wifi which is on channel no. 13. The same wifi is offered for Europe market too, so I expected it will be support. I am connect via smartphone, but with laptop nope. Thanks for any idea.

@Sol098 Hardware is going to be the same but there might be either a different driver, or - more likely - a driver setting for that.
go to device manager, choose your card (right click and then properties) and choose advanced tab. See if there is a setting called "Location" or something similar and see what can you choose there.

Some drivers have regions with numbers, so your choice might not be obvious at first but that's where you should start.

    The drivers doesn't work either.

I wanted to ask you this: What's your room temperature in Dubai? I mean CPU clocked at 4GHz generates lot of heat and even my HQ CPU ( with high ambient temps 27-42C) barely manage to run at turbo boosted speeds, so how do you manage it?
Do you live in Dubai as part of your work?

OK guys, I solved via registers. So maybe could help somebody:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0001
And then change the support channel: caStaWirelessMode = 13
The linux shows it support to channel 14.
