Just got a super deal on an X205-SLI2 at my local BestBuy. Price was $850 plus tax, which is close to half of newegg's price. I think that's an unbeatable deal for a machine with specs like these.![]()
This was a demo unit, but it is super clean. Comes with full factory warranty, which can be upgraded via BB's in-house service plan. Best of all, tho' there was no box it did come with all paperwork, plus the restore disk. All I needed was a case and I found a guy on eBay who sells Toshiba's 17" laptop case (MSRP ~$75) for $30, every day...and that's delivered.)
While I was at BB, I also noticed that they were offering a few hundred off on the SLI4 version, also as a demo - $1599, I think. Guess it was newer, hence the lower discount. Anyway, thought some of you might benefit from a quick heads-up. Good luck!

Yes, open-boxed laptops get a fairly nice discount when it comes down to the discontinued models. There was a Sony I saw the other day there that was $400 because it had been discontinued.
Within 14 days.

Every time I notice open box/display laptops at BB, they are only like $100 or $200 off their full normal price....therefore more expensive then new in box normal sale prices. BB's in my area suck for clearance and open box stuff.

I hear you. There was a set of speakers i was looking at and the new ones were cheaper than the open box ones. I asked about it and they said there was nothing they could do about it.
BestBuy closeout on Toshiba X205 demos
