Anyways, got ahold of my mom's CC and purchased one.
Haven't receieved an email yet, but I'm praying. -
Those emails were taking 20-30 minutes to send out, so be patient and good luck. -
-
I hope so at least. Otherwise you're in trouble child.
-
watch (s)he has his/her order go through but mom files fraud and cancels the order...
-
-
So, anyone else get confirmations yet? Mine isn't canceled, so here's to hoping. -
order status says in production... but i guess refreshing every 30 secs doesnt mean much... we'll get rejection emails tommorrow most likely... (reminds me of getting into college)
-
I don't think they will confirm it till tomorrow.
-

AHAHA.. yeah that would suck.
But I'm sure we'll all get an email soon saying "Dear Sir/Madam, Dell's site has experienced some technical difficulties regarding your purchase. Your payment is being refunded and sorry for the inconvenience."
Something like that.
Oh, and Greg, I'm a dude. Hence the hot Asian chick. -
Well, here's to good luck for all us NBR members who might have snagged this awesome deal. Lets ride the storm tonight and see where we stand tomorrow!
-
Just got an email stating the order finally did go through and they charge my little plastic demon that resides in my wallet.
Cool. Time to study. -
-
btw i hope thats non-alcoholic beverages as I am under 21 -

Now that the deal is dead, one drive is currently selling for $400+. Yes, $400+!!!
Those drives better ship. And as soon as I get shipping confirmation I'm putting them on eBay. -
-
a bunch of people posted them
http://search.ebay.com//SimpleTech-...QsatitleZSimpleTechQ20ProQ201Q2e5TBQQsbrsrtZd -
Actually, there are only a few people. By the time I get my drives, these sales might end and I can get some eBay pie.
Maybe I should list now and not later...
EDIT
No, I'm going to wait until I can take a real picture. I'll get a higher price I think for proving I actually have it. -
IF it actually goes through I'm keeping this sucker, wont get another chance to snag a 1.5TB drive at this price until at least 2014 when they have 500TB drives for normal retail prices.
-
... That HDD just went up to 810 on Ebay.
I paid with Paypal... would that take longer to process than a CC transaction? -
Managed to order my saved cart for 2 pieces using DPA account, just now. Keeping my fingers crossed regarding order confirmation and actual shipping.
-
yeah for me it would definetly be practical... back up all my data on all my computers... plus install an os for fun... who knows...
-
I searched a bunch of local stores and office depot is one that caries the drive.

589.99! if i get it i will return it for instore credit...and buy a 24" samsung lcd -
-
-
-
Sorta off topic...could a laptops graphics card output to a 24" lcd at full resolution AND the internal display? Or is that too large of a resolution for it to handle?
-
Exactly, early bday present to him.
-
Where did Greggy Poo go??? come back we miss you...
-
I have a buddy with a D630 that has integrated intel graphics, and he runs the internal display and connects a 24" LCD to the DVI on his dock, and both monitors are at their highest rez and look great! -
-
-
-
screw homework... its sunday night... super bowl is over... and you may have just made 500 bucks... take the night off...
-
That is thinking like a fatwallet person, which is why they now sell good deals on eBay.
When I graduate in 3 months then I will take the night off, with a checking account that looks like a real person's account and not a broke college student's. -

Arg. I was trying to do my Circuits homework and my sister was playing on the Wii.
Hey, at least I got my sound system to work on it. Cool.
She's in bed now. Finally.. peace. -
Apparently, a recent post on FW...a buyer's item actually shipped & got a tracking number.
Not sure if its true...but apparently no one has gotten a cancellation email either. -
your spending too much time on nbr. you better pass your classes!
-
none so far for me... i could really use this hard drive so im hoping really hard that it doesnt get cancelled...
-
Click on the link to his tracking number...
-
-

Spartan Baseball Player, from like 9 years ago it was my AIM s/n for freshman baseball at my HS, never felt like changing it, but I should at some point.
-
Ahhhhh, choices choices choices...
1) Sell both drives.
2) Keep one drive as a RAID1
3) Keep both drives as RAID1, then RAID0 together (for 1.5TB of RAID10)
4) Keep both drives as RAID0, then get 3TB!!! (not really, too risky w/4 drives)
5) Keep both drives, destroy to get to inner HDDs, buy an eSATA controller with 4 ports, plug all in and make a RAID5 array for 2.25TB.
Feels good to dream... -
-
Keeping my hopes up, but users @ FW have reported getting cancellation emails.
-
oh noes... dont scare me...
-
-
do you have a link to those users? i can't find it on the website...
