It got even better, I took the information to CircuitCity, and they give me 300 dollar off their listed price instantly of $1199.99 making the price i pay out of pocket at $900. and what is even better I still eligible for the HP $50 rebate. making my final purchase price of $850.

$850 for a brand new HP pavilion tx1320 tablet PC. WOW

how did u get $300 off?? they can match only upto $200 right bcos that's the rebate value? And CC/BB most often never, ever match post-rebate prices...

    u got lucky man! :D

Not sure, I know their price is 110% price difference, so based on that should have been $220 Off, so $300 might be a mistake. But even at $220, you still can submit the coupon, so that is like $270.

I think CC's price guarantee price is base on you buy it online, and against another major retailer online listing (in-stock, immediately available, etc). I talk to a sale rep, and she told me i have to buy it online, and when i go in to pick up the laptop, i let the store rep know, and they will give me a credit back on my credit card (which they did). I think the $300 was an over sight, but the $50 rebate available shouldn't be.

If should call a sale rep from CC to confirm the detail for you. good luck

Check the date posted, the price drop was back at Oct-18-2007. so officedepot no longer have this on sale, But compUSA have it :)
    http://www.compusa.com/products/pro...&cm_pla=General&cm_ite=Primary&ref=performics

On a side note i had the notebook computer for 4 weeks now, and i love it. Light , fast powerful, and a usable graphic card for light gaming (unlike the GMA950), and a tablet to boot for $1000.

Only complain i have is the AMD CPU run slightly hot when under full load, but then again, at this form factor i don't think intel can do any better with core2dual 7200 either.

anyway have you had a chance to play with it yet?
