up to you, you should factor in tax, too. Since I live in NY, the tax is around $140...If I was to buy it, that would have killed the deal for me. I guess the Envy is somewhat of a better deal with the CB :/ PS do not config as recommended by HP. config as base, it's the same.

Grats, on your purchase! I'm hearing CB confirmation is appearing fairly quickly today in peep's accounts for their purchases!

It's gonna be a hard choice for you Serg, one brand or another, 2 different models, etc. What savings you want! ;)

Line up the the specs for both models, the pricing, the cashback, the potential delivery dates, warranties, pros & cons, etc.

Then, look at both...and go with *what your heart & mind* tell you to go with. You will know what is best! ;)

The HP can be shipped in 2 business days for free, vs the 16/11 for my Dell.
The thing is the Bing, is it reliable enough?

Yes, Bing is fairly reliable (though, I have never done it through HP), all of my transactions have always appeared in my account in the stated time period by Bing. ;)

I never have problems with bing cashback before,

You should not have problems if you don't void the rule, like combined other offers.

My dell estimated ship date is 11/28..........................

I can just see it. People selecting the most costly config, in our case the lowest config, on their Envy 15 due to the 25% CB without even looking at what they are getting. $5000 for a piece of ****.

if you guys do get the HP Envy, better get an external mouse because reviews demonstrate that the new "glass" trackpad (Mac-like) is just as bad as the old HP trackpads...

    plus, only external Blu-Ray drive...

Prices on some items are DOUBLE what they were yesterday.
HP is taking advantage of Windows 7 mania.
Make certain the bing 25% is a good deal before buying during this promotion, especially on the printers and desktops, most of the deals are on notebooks, which is not a bad thing!

45w CPU, 4830 GPU in a 1" Chassis? Either they are smarter than Apple or there are going to be a lot of burnt hands and potentially laps incoming......

I just want to push the "Checkout" button on a ,HP Pavilion dv6t Quad Edition series, but I won't.
I've rarely ever bought big ticket stuff on impulse without actually looking into it, and it's not gonna be today that I break my routine.

I would buy another computer, that I've did some research on, but HP took the computer out of its web site!

So I went and ordered the Dv6 quad today on the phone.

In the end I used my student discount. The agent and I on the phone discussed all possible options on which would of been the cheapest.

So he built it on the phone with me. Price came to $1,275.79

and with some stackable coupons I found along with a discount he game me, the end cost me $802.60 w/ tax included and free 2 business day shipping.

This whole process took one whole tedious hour.

Get this, used no coupons or APP/EPP or anything, just ordered a DM3z for the full configured price on HP.com with Bing cashback, even with external Blu-Ray player for $220 cashback. HP cancelled the cashback, stupid jerks must be claiming the instant savings voids cashback, what a crock. Boycott the morons, and send you lappys back. Will send mine back if they dont get me 25% back.

Hey man - the same exact thing happened to me. Except I ordered a Mini 311. I also ordered the machine at the full configured price (I could have used my HP Academy discount, but I opted for the Bing instead). I followed ALL the rules carefully so I wouldn't mess anything up. Several hours after my order the cachback balance appeared in my Bing account. Everything was fine.

Fast forward about 10 days: The SAME DAY I received the computer my cashback was canceled... no clear reason given. Just canceled out of the blue. Can you confirm that the instant savings is what voided the cashback? According to Bings "terms and conditions" there is no mention of that. Have you called either HP or Bing CS yet? I'm going to try today... but I'm not getting my hopes up. If I don't get my Cashback returned I'm sending the netbook back to HP... What a Scam.

Definately a scam. contacted Bing first, they said they are sorry, but they have no control. Although I would say they have false advertising based on what HP is doing, and one of them needs to take responsibility, or about 10,000 notebooks are going back to HP.

I dont have the DM3 yet, it has been shipped (good timing to cancel the rebate huh) and I dont plan to accept it at all and send it back to HP if they dont resolve the issue by Monday, havent talked to them yet.

Yeah - I'm sure they are SO SORRY.
I emailed bing "support" and described the issue as straightforward a manner possible. Apparently there is no phone support.

Same here man... If this isn't resolved before the 21 day "trial" period then they are going to have to deal with giving ME my money back. I'm not going to just sit and let them screw me over...

Talked to HP today, they were non-committal although told them I was returning laptop if I didnt get the 25% refund.

They asked that Bing contact them to work it out. What that means I dont know, probably nothing. But so had to email Bing to call HP :)

    This is getting interesting.

I guess if customers, who jumped in on the 25% bing cashback deal, did not bother to check for their cashback & just assume that it'll go through, then Bing/HP will "happily" keep that promised cashback amount?!?!? IMHO, whoever thought of devising this scheme to "hook up" customers is simply genius! :D

The cashback did show up, but was cancelled later, and Bing was nice enough to send an email that it had been cancelled by the manufacturer. IF it were $10 maybe people would let it go, but $220 is significant enough to get pissed about.
