Just got an email notification to confirm that my shipping address is different than my billing address (and to call to confirm the credit card company knows about this).

Suppose this means they're billing me and therefore it's shipping?

Several folks are talking about "cpp." What do you mean under "cpp?" Are you talking about student discount?

    thanks

I tried to call Friday, but there lines were stacked and I couldn't get to a representative. I left a message then, and also called back today... when I called today, I get an error message "Thank you for calling Lenovo.... beep beep beep The call did not go through. Please try your call again."

So has anyone actually received a U330 yet? I'm trying to decide between this or the new Macbook that is supposedly being released in the next few weeks. This is a smokin' computer for the price, but the new Macbook is supposed to be better.

no one has it just yet....but will in the beginning of october most likely, or if lucky end of september

but please explain how the macbook would be better....i would love to be enlightened by that info ;0considering, the video card won't be better and won't be hybrid most likely....the only thing is the processor may be a tiny bit faster

besides that, theres really no way it will be better, and considering it will be $800 more....that would be stupid ;).

and if you mean the macbook pro, well thats a whole different class being a 15.4" or 17" and only things better will be the video card and processor.

No, the refresh of the current Macbook (not the pro) which will start from $999-$1099. Dedicated graphics is not a huge factor for me, but the smaller size (like the Lenovo) with a faster CPU and the ability to run OSX and Windows would be nice. Its also supposed to have an LED backlit screen like the Lenovo.

im just wondering how small the macbook will be, considering the last 3 models have been 5 pounds or above for the macbook, which is just way too much considering what you can get for similar prices

I just ordered it through the above link ( https://ssl.search.live.com/cashback/go?c=278470) and into the contractor purchase program. My live search cashback still shows 0$, do I have to wait for a couple of hrs or days? or it does not work with the CPP discount?

I would order one asap if I could find out exactly when it would be shipped. I recently had my old laptop stolen and I'm looking for a replacement computer ASAP but can't wait until mid to late October.

Intel 5300 has higher throughput with wireless N.

My cousin is a linux fiend, but its not for me.

Its possible that when they receive the batteries they will quickly catch up on the orders. Place an order; if you dont get it in time then just cancel. You wont be charged until the laptop ships.

You need to email cashback support and keep bugging them. In the email includes all the info they requested. You can find the instructions through cashback support web site.

They just credited my account after I keep bugging them for three days.

    Go figure.

By the time I get the computer, I will have already received my cashback...

Typically, they are more expensive, but there was a kickin' deal for a few weeks.

I got my SR laptop (see my signature for specs), 3 year warranty, HP wireless all in one printer, and a sony neoprene case for $1434 and no interest for 12 months. I got a total of $600 off.

The SR is nice. My only gripe is the keyboard and the fact that my last Sony, an SZ, was a POS.

as i said before - i thought the SZ6 was phenomenal :) and most others did too, you may have just got unlucky

but the SR doesn't have hdmi or dvi and that is the one thing i vowed to not miss this time so i refuse to get the SR

plus the SR has ddr2 memory and would be stupid to buy just because i can't wait for the u330, especially when the u330 is so much cheaper for better specs
