    1. Register at FatWallet.
    2. Go to lenovo.com thru cashback link
    3. Search for "Shareholder Purchase Program" and click on first result -- you get automatic SPP reduced prices
    4. Config your machine and enter coupon code at end of order.

So for a T61 configured close to 1000 would the coupon be closer to 5%?

Also this shouldn't have any problems like the EPP had? Since I think a lot of people that might use this wouldn't be share holders.

What are the odds that these orders will just be canceled like the last Meyer EPP thing?

Well if lenovo receives 25+ orders (I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head), they have the right to cancel the extra orders.

A lot less, since they're probably not going to check who owns an IBM stock or not. SPP has been around since a few months ago - started off with 15% off but went down to 5%. Looks like it's closer to 15% now.

The limit per year as stated in the terms and conditions is 10. And of course they reserved the right to cancel any orders at any time for any reason if they should so choose.

That's what I think I'll do. I just hope they don't reduce the percentage off. I want the T61 but with an integrated card, which they don't offer right now. If price does increase, I'll probably have to get a Dell :(

yeah, i checked it out with a number of configs

it isn't as good as EPP though. For the same reasons that the memorial day sale +EPP wasn't 40% off. Do the math, they take the first discount, and then discount the discounted price. For the EPP+Memorial day it was 33%.

With this sale, it comes out to around 11% on T series (+ whatever they currently have on sale, right now its -420). It should be higher, but my config only took off about 8 percent when I used to the coupon code, and SPP only saved around $50 to begin with.

All in all its a good deal though, and probably safer than Meyers EPP. If you use this with the 4th of July sale, you may get one smoking deal.

After listen to what ehiunno said, make me want to cancel my order and wait for the july sale. However, I got a 36% discount with this deal, the t61 I configed was original 1490, then I used the spp + coupon. They gave about 490 off and then 60 dollars cash back from fatwallet.
Should I cancelled this order if I am not in hurry for a laptop or is this deal great enough to get it (comparing with the memorial days/ the sale of july)

How do you know there will be a sale during july? Even it will, according to the current shipping delay, you still have a good chance to cancel/refuse this order, then go ahead for better deal. I think it is worth trying for this time.

agree. It takes them weeks to make the laptop anyway. We can just do price adjustment if the price is cheaper "current" price. On the other hand, we cannot do adjustment for earlier price.

anyway, anyone know fatwallet money report when they charge the card or few days after i ordered? (i followed what OP said linked from FW and typed share holders in search bar)

what about tailormade? when did you guys receive the credit money?

Yeah, don't cancel your order by any means. With the current shipping timesw, wait a week or so, and if the price is that good, you may be able to get a cost adjustment then. If you can't get one and don't mind waiting a bit then cancel at the 4th of July sale and reorder with this code, but at least wait until the sale comes before you get too hasty.

Unless of course your lappie is supposed to ship on monday or something, in which case... flip a coin?

As long as you purchased through the link of fatwallet, you will be fine. It is normal to take days even a couple of weeks to show the cashback information. I did several times before including some laptop purchase, no problem at all.

I see. I worried because I ordered a X61s 1 week ago. (canceled yesterday) and it did not show money report. I feared search share holder in search bar might not work. I usually paste the ssp link to the fatwallet cash back link instead.
