What really sucks is Lenovo stating the coupon will expire on July 31 when it actually expired yesterday. Damn, I was going to order today.
-
Serious - me too. I had my card out and everything. Sooo pissed off, thought I had plenty of time. -
that's what people never seem to understand. Coupons expire at any time they reach a certain redemption number.
I hate idiots that give bad advice and say "oh this will last until july 31st, just wait until the 4th of july day sale". -
Well - we all gotta learn sometime. I will not make this mistake again! Next time I see a deal this good, I'll jump all over it like flies on you-know-what!!
-
Maybe the idiots who think the BBB can punish Lenovo for shipping delays should complain to the BBB about this early-expired coupon! -
1.) dont wait for better price. I can adjust it when cheaper price comes
2.) save cart
3.) cancel and reorder -
<repost -- sorry>
-
Well, the thing is, the Lenovo website specifically stated it would expire July 31st. It did not mention anything about how many people would be able to use it or if it would expire after a certain number.
I had mine in my cart too the day before, but I'm guessing the cart isn't saved for some reason. Lenovo better have a better deal for July 4th -
-
Of course they have the right to cancel it at any time. However, the sale didnt expire until 7/31. That was nearly two months. I expected it to at least last until the end of June.
Saying " I hate idiots that give bad advice and say "oh this will last until july 31st, just wait until the 4th of july day sale".", seems a bit uncalled for. Considering the sale didnt expire for months, I don't think it was unreasonable for people to wait. I don't recall telling others to wait, but I did raise the question of "why not wait until the Fourth?" It seemed reasonable at the time.
That link you posted above this post mentions that, "The limit per year as stated in the terms and conditions is 10." and also, "Well if lenovo receives 25+ orders (I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head), they have the right to cancel the extra orders."
If the sale lasted for more than a few days, then surely they sold more than 25 units. How could anyone have guessed what number of units they would sell before deciding to end the sale? -
-
I know you cannot guess, i was just trying to make a point because I felt like Sirius's comments were directed towards me.

Unless a sale explicitly says that quantities are limited or has some equivalent language, it is illegal to state an expiration date and not honor it. In other words, if they say good until X and they don't specify any other condition, the sale has to be good until X. Companies can and are fined by the FTC if they don't follow those rules.
Most sales do have such language. It typically appears in the fine print. Unfortunately, when sale information is cut and pasted from web site to web site, the fine print can be lost. -
Bump to those who would still like to take advantage of this great discount...
-
this hasn't worked for like 2 days since it came out...
-

Didn't want to read through all the posts, quick question:
So did anyone's orders get canceled because they were not a shareholder? -
Also is anyone else having problems with signing into accounts? -
-
-
-
do you guys think there will be another deal like this after the 30th? i'm thinking it's best that i just buy one now, but i really have no idea.
-
if you think it's a good deal, you should buy now. There is no guarantee that a better deal will come along soon.
-
I just went ahead and used this, just I'm curious if fatwallet will actually send me my $30 since it isn't a coupon on their "deals" page.
And about the deal, its pretty good if you think you'll use the intel wi-fi n card. It would also make some future proofing. -
-
On Fatwallet is says something to the effect of
using coupons not listed on the Lenovo merchant
Page MAY void cash back. Has everyone
received their cash back using the above instructions?
Please answer ASAP as I am about to place my order. -
I just got a email back saying it was triggered after I used this coupon to buy my T61.
So I assume it works fine with this coupon. -
-
I ordered it yesterday afternoon and received it earlier today.

thru their website to get to the Lenovo site. Is there anything
I can do to make sure I get credit? I know FatWallet says they don't
send confirmations until they recieve a confirmation from the
merchant so I wasn't worried until now.
Any advice?
Kimberlee -
When you clicked the lenovo link from fatwallet, there should have been a pop-up with a transaction number. You have to set your browser to accept pop-ups from fatwallet. -
And if I didn't set it to accept the pop up,
does that mean I don't get the cash back?
I still went thru their site, you can tell by the link.
Any suggestions? -
I'm tempted to email FW but they say to wait at least 3 weeks after shipment for the money to appear in my account. I just don't understand why I didn't receive this email stating that the discount is pending. -
BTW, my computer went up $58 from when I ordered it 2 days ago and
that doesn't include the additional 5% coupon which expired yesterday. -
In your fatwallet account, there is a click history. It doesnt do much but show you that you've clicked the link. If you click through from fatwallet to lenovo 5 times, you'll have a lenovo click history of 5 times.
Just wait until monday. -
Are there any other employee discount codes?
-
Hey guys, anyone who stacked a coupon w/SPP, have the coupon register on cart, reflect on total when entering credit card, still show correctly on order confirmation... only to have the email confirmation NOT reflect coupon?
Basically I had one price when I checked out, then they sent me an email saying they are going to charge my card another. I thought I read a while back about this happening to so some people, and they didn't need to do anything; that the right amount was charged, and it's just an anomoly in the system.
Luckily I saved a screenshot of my order confirmation with the correct total, but I really don't want to call these guys about my order.
On a completely unrelated matter, what's the official rule about SPP? Have to be a stockholder yourself, or like EPP can be a friend of a stockholder? -
I highly doubt we'll see any freely shared EPP info on this and other forums , not anytime soon, considering what's happened after the Meyer's deal. -
-
I had the same problem. Called once and the guy said he would correct it for me. However, it was not corrected. Emailed them three times, no reply. I was charged about $100 more and received my laptop for which I am very satisfied. I can not stand the long holding time, so file BBB complain directly after they did not reply any of my three emails.
-
They make the best notebooks imo, but I HATE dealing w/these people.
I now refuse to deal with them on the phone, and not just for the hold times, or rudeness. Becase I want documentation of all communication. Over the past couple of years I have been told the following lies by lenovo on the phone: Told by a supervisor he cancelled my order, but that they "don't have" cancellation numbers, so just took his name and his word that it was cancelled- of course it was never cancelled, and was shipped and charged anyways. When I bought my Z series, was told it had a magnesium lid, which was untrue. When I bought my t 61, was told (by multiple lenovo agents) the optical drive from my Z series could be put in the T series, which was untrue.
Only email now. Emailed customer service, they told me to call sales. Emailed sales, see what happens.
Eventually, I'll have to throw in the towel and settle for a dell. Just would be a huge keyboard and display sacrifice. Getting to where it's no longer worth it though. -
I made an outline on how to purchase with SPP/Fatwallet/Tailormade here:
http://lenovoforums.com/index.php?topic=11.msg13#msg13 -
would be great if there are sticky posts like that -
So did they ever fix yours or not? FINALLY they credited mine back after much hassling. I would have just returned mine if they hadn't because the difference was almost three times what they tried to screw you ($270.64).
I've now read about FIVE people who this has happened to just on these forums, two of which never got it resolved. Getting the BBB involved does seem to help though.
They admitted this is not an uncommon problem, and that it is a "glitch" in their system, yet treated this as if it was my case to prove. My screenshot of the checkout page didn't matter, cashback email with correct price didn't matter (sent to fatwallet from lenovo!); I had to submit an independent quote of different order number to "price match" AFTER it shipped.
EDIT- got your status from the other thread. Glad it worked out for you. -
do you know when will Lenovo 15 anniversary 20% deal end?
Lenovo SPP + coupon code = as good as EPP!
