Hmmm honestly I really doubt that case or not, shouldn't make a difference.
This router is powered by an old AMD K6-2 500mhz which barely heat.

By not having a case, it have some advantages such a rapid swapping of hdd , easily changing the NIC without any tools (useful when i want to change my static Internet IP)...
No fans (except cpu and psu), natural convection is more than enough for this type of system.

I use no case when i know it is used in a safe place where no one is passing near or no object could fall and strike on the motherboard (could be a fire hazard).

I always do system tests when building a PC, without any case first it's very frustrating when something went wrong with the motherboard for X reason and having to put everything out of the pc tower to have access to the motherboard ;)

Anyway i hope i have answered your question :)

PS: Don't do that unless it's hidden , you know it's kinda ugly looking pc lol... mine is well hidden above your head you have to climb a small 3-step ladder to see the system :p

    Have a nice day!

If you are going to place an eBay item of yours on the forums, please put it in the BST forum and follow the rules there.

I do not want to see that link up on this thread again.

Here is my quad monitor laptop setup. It is a row of triple monitors with the laptop LCD as the 4th below them. I could add a 4th identical LCD but see no need as I want to utilize the laptop's display. If it looks familiar, it is because I posted earlier with just two monitors on top. The only change is an Ergotron LX triple display stand (which incidentally at $200 shipped was the most expensive item other than the laptop itself) and another identical LCD monitor.

I'm running Vista Ultimate x64, Aero works perfectly, and the laptop can hot undock/dock from the expansion station without problems - I absolutely love this setup.

wowowowow. I just finished this thread. took me two days. wow. I would take a pic of my computer area since it is looking awesome right now... but.. the rest of my room is not... gimme a day... I will have the HTPC up again, the DiNovo, Zune, Barracuda... I feel my single monitor setup is lackingish lol.

Then Again, I frequently have two or three computers hooked up to this baby...

Great thread guys, there are some nice setups out there. I'm gonna rar these images: i was looking for organization ideas and found a few.

Here are my pics of the before (organizing my space right now, the HTPC is out of commission; I will post pics take tomorrow. I apologize for not turning the flash on)

By the way, if any of you buy those IKEA tracklights (the mini ones), don't touch them or put them close to anything flammable, they get very VERY hot. :)

So is there a downfall to using that theme, or does it just looks ugly? xD

Not really, I just have to look 2 degree to my right which is almost insignificant. I didnt want to centre my pc on my desk because I want to save some space for writing/eat/whatever I need to do on the desk.

Loose the blue Luna theme. Just a simple switch to the silver theme, or installing the Royale Noir theme would make such a difference...

thanks. blue luna ? you mean the blue fans every where ?

i have various shades of blue metallic/pearl paint samples as i want to paint the wall behind the monitor that color then mount some blue cathode tubes behind it to shine on the wall. haha yeah it's crazy i know but what the hell you only go around once right and if it doesn't look good then i can always change it.

i just looked at your pixelot photo and i think i read the book that photo is from !! nice
