Ahhhhh that reminds me of my old days back before and in college. I did a lot of music remixing/editing/production. My setup looked (appearance wise at least) quite similar to yours except back then it was a PowerPC G3 with software like Steinberg Cubase (then later Cubase SX), MOTU software, Propellorheads, etc.

    New PS3 SKU.

    Limited Edition MGS4 GunMetal PS3 :D

    He's right, it's a Razer Lycosa.

    Best god-damn keyboard IMO :D

I bought a G15 after a week when I got the Lycosa, just to try it.

And the next day, I returned it.

G15's keys and size are HORRIBLE. And it's not even funny. There's no way I'll keep that PoS keyboard. Although the macro keys and the LCD are great. But overall, I like my Lycosa much more. Looks, Comfort, and most of all the KEYS!.

nice theEnemy! That gunmetal PS3 is sweet, honestly I think the regular PS3 (w/ the glossy piano finish) would have complemented your HP better ;)

    but it's sweet nonetheless

I just recently updated mine w00t!

    It's an Altec Lansing MX5021. It's only 2.1 since my laptop can't handle 5.1 :D

But that speaker will make your room like a f'ing theater! THX :D

Thanks, but the Piano Black PS3 is so maintenance hog! Fingerprint and Dust magnet :(, and I'm more satisfied with this GunMetal :D Very nice looking IRL! :D

Nice setup bro, I see you got some steelseries gears :D, have you tried Ikari Laser ? That's one hell of a mouse if you ask me! :D

Very comfortable especially if you pair it with a QcK or 5L mousepad :D

I'm just workin on my new man space. Here's what I've got goin on so far. My systems are in my sig. I am going to add more blue light around. I might get rid of the pink too and replace it w/ blue. The pink light is actually a neon martini lamp I got as a gift years ago. I just hid it behind the lcd lol. All the blue is coming from my desktop right now. 2x Coolermaster led fans, Tuniq 120 led, and vf900 led. I've got the side off too for maximum glow. Oh and my cables are still a mess so I put my chair in the way to hide them :p

Nope just my computer room in my loft. We are redoing our loft space as storage, computer room, library and treadmill. Sounds like a lot I know. I'll do a full circle of pics of my area when it is further along. right now we are still organizing stuff. As said I'd like to add more lights and I also want to put some pictures on the walls when we are done organizing.

Nice to see this thread coming back. As Im starting to think my desk of 4 years (just found the reciept) is not only having keyboard drawer issues, but also one entire section seems bowed because my 17in rocks when placed there off the cooler. SO I may be in the market for a new desk/setup.

My question is how many of you laptop to external LCDs keep your rig running all the time? Me personally I have my 17in sitting on a hefty cooler and running pretty much all day, and have not had a single heat issue yet.

@haquocdung - Yup, I've got a 22" Hannspree HF29H connected to my laptop and have the 22" LCD Set as the main monitor and then extend everything to the laptop display. It's really nice for using the Laptop display for Messenger and Music stuff (or to watch movies), and then have my work stuff on the main display. Best thing is that the Hannspree Monitor has HDMI and SVGA so I can hook my xbox and laptop up to it.

    @ash_bd - Haha, thanks. :D

@liquidxit2 - Used to keep it running all the time when I was relying on my HP to download my work files. Now that I have my 2nd laptop setup, I don't leave my HP on as frequently.

Yeah I run my vostro 1700 as a desktop at home. It currently is my gaming, print/file server and my general/multitasker when at home. I keep it open as if your using it but the lcd is turned off, and it sits on a massive nzxt cryo cooler with 3 120mm fans and aluminum structure. Even after gaming for a few hours the air coming out was barely warm, and I have it on a strict daily maintenance plan with weekly shut downs/restarts.

As for my setup I actually removed the hutch on my desk (never used it anyways) and moved some things around so Ill have to take pics when I get a chance.

Do you like the Nzxt Cryo Cooler? I'm in the process of finding a cooler for my HP. The biggest thing for me is that if you leave the notebook flat it doesn't get any circulation, and I figure if I have to get a stand I might as well get a cooler.

Do you think the Cryo Cooler will fit my HP?

Well it fits my 17in laptop with about 1/2-1 inch on each side. Its angled for better typing angle but when I have mine docked its plugged into a keyboard and mouse. I would think as long as you dont have the HP dragon then yeah it will fit your, but depending on what size laptop you have will determine how much room is left on the cooler.

The entire thing is vented then right? The biggest problem with my notebook is that I have yet to find a single cooler that lines up with my HP's CPU Fan.

if u look at the pictures of the cryo LX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.aspx?Image=34-997-340-03.jpg%2c34-997-340-04.jpg%2c34-997-340-05.jpg%2c34-997-340-06.jpg%2c34-997-340-07.jpg%2c34-997-340-08.jpg%2c34-997-340-02.jpg&S7ImageFlag=0&WaterMark=1&Item=N82E16834997340&Depa=0&Description=NZXT+Aluminum+Notebook+cooler+w%2f+3+120mm+adjustable+fans+Model+CRYO+LX
if u fold the front part under. the whole remainin surface area is vented and the 3 fans blow directly up into the laptop.

great for just about any laptop with vents located mainly in the mid and rear area.

I just bought a new desk, and am in the middle of completeing the new setup. Ive downgraded from an l shape to a blue tinted glass regular setup. It actually fits my docked 17in + 24in lcd and everything else with a lot of room to spare. Pics incoming asap.

Matt867: I like that keyboard, I almost bought it the other day. How do you like the new nostromo? is it better then the old one? I still dont know if I want to upgrade just yet.

Think of 3 120mm fans next to each other in a line (1x3). It covers alot of area, and the side vents try to direct some air to the front, although I dont know how successful it is. The fans are pretty nice but I do want to replace them for more powerful and possible green led ones. The great thing is it has a built in 4 port USB hub and also conducts heat through its aluminum chassis design. My laptop still gets a little warm near the vent, but no where near what it used to.

I may redo this later the right way with a tripod but just snapped a quick picture of the new setup. The only change is the new desktop pc, aka the mirror on the left :p

When sitting at the desk it reflects the katana that sits beside me and you see yourself, that way you can know how big of a dork you are when you get all into a game and see your own evil looks when somebody gets like 10 headshots on you in a row.

    Whats in the Picture?

    > 37" Westinghouse 1920x1080 HD LCD
    > Klipsch Quintet 3 speakers on the desk, with my infinity on the wall above the pc.
    > Audio Technica A700 headphones on the stereo cabinet
    > In the stereo cabinet: Optimus 540w Dolby Prologic Stereo Amp/Receiver, Sony Mini Disk Player, 10 band equalizer
    > Saitek Gamers Keyboard
    > Logitec MX518 Mouse
    > Wii Sensor bars (2 of them lol, the wired one for the wii, and the wireless one I use for my PC)
    > One Piece Action Figures because Robin is that hot that I had to buy them.
    > Plantroincs Pulsar Bluetooth Headphones (in that little black case on the desk)

Thats pretty much the PC setup. I have a HDMI cord attached to the monitor to hook my C90S up to it but really nowhere to place the actual laptop.

I really like your setup also. I like the artwork and the bookshelf divider you have. I would like something similar in the future, just maybe a bit lighter colors as it seems kinda dark in the room. But overall it looks great!

It is small. But to be fair, that monitor is rather large so it isn't quite as small as it seems.

I love this keyboard. I've never liked the feel of any keyboard as much as I like the feel of this one.

It's rock solid- excellent build quality. And you can't argue with the diamond plating on the under-side.

The windows key is in the literal top right corner- you can never press it by accident!

On top of all that, the manufacturer supports modifications to this keyboard.

It's rather expensive, but in my opinion it was absolutely worth what I paid for it. If anyone is interested, the company also makes full size keyboards- they were not available when I purchased this keyboard three years ago.

The keyboard is made by D'eck: http://www.deckkeyboards.com/
