Enero, be forewarned. You're going to have a jolly old time routing cables. Go find mine some pages back. The whole closed desk thing makes it really hard when you want to move stuff.
-
I thought I may join in...
The laptop on the right is a 3 years old Medion one on which I ruined the keyboard with coffee - its a USB jkeyboard now (16 Pounds vs 100€ on a years old machine that had originally cost 999€
The middle laptop is my Sony SZ71VN/X
The IKEA Ivar in the back hold 3 external HDDs, one external CD/DVD drive (the one in the Medion laptop broke and was later replaced under warranty)
The two glasses are clean (just brought the up, so I'll have them for Pepsi and some orange/apple juice in the evening to come.
The glass with the spoon is from a coffee I just brought upstairs...
And else its a bit messy - but this is my setup :-D
(By the way - remote controlled socket under the table - one for all devices)
-
Detlev, I like your desk & the setup~Aaah..no worries..it just looks *lived in* per se
Cin
-
My desk - hmm, that's been with me quite a while - 10 years at least I would guess
Thanks
Lived in - possibly. But at the same time not really personal.
By the way - you may detect a Bonsai on the left on the Windowsill
-
That's good, long time to have a desk! Detected the Bonsai ~ Nice!
I kill plants...so they are not allowed in my house!

updating after christmas, new case ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/115479) and stuff, will post picaratures. -
Hmm - a lot of plants don't do well along my side either...
My Bonsais are with me for a few months now - I think they are surviving
Poor things - they have to accept me... -
That, look's awesome..
Everything about it is great!
Nice setup!
Yeah..I kill plants, and so does Dweezil. I had a nice one on my desktop it was an Azalea, and he ate it....
He didn't do it in front of me..He at least waited til I left the room.

Vegetarian cat
Ah well.
Have you got your desk in here too? -
Yes, I do..but it's like many, many pages back!
I will have an update soon when I get my desk moved to where I want it in my house, along with my new Netbook on it
I will reattach here for you now!
Cin

Nice Cin.
Very nice contrast - the oldish desk and the rgg timer vs the laptop.
I don't think my table will ever look like that... - the wood is sufering already...
(Humidity I think... or dry air...) -
Thanks, Detlev..that desk is an antique (so I'm told)! I found it by accident..I dropped by The Salvation Army...and saw this sitting there. I opened up the drawer and found the Furniture Maker stamp in the bottom of the drawer...I called a friend, and he said *buy that now, at that price, apparently they don't realize the value*
And, so I did!
I adore that desk.
Cin
-
Why not
I hope it'll stay with you for several more years/decades. -
I hope so too..I've been looking for a nice comfy computer chair, that will blend with it. But I want an *eclectic wood* type one..and maybe I'm being to *fussy*. I want to be able to throw some pillows on it..
Some chairs are to large, like the one I use now ~ so I throw a few small throw pillows on it, and I'm good-to-go!

Nice desk. Who made it? Where'd you get it? How much?
-
Is that a Z-Line tv stand? Looks like my Maxim model.
-
-
Oh my! I like it
Aren't you glad you posted it, it looks nice..and others will agree
Looky at all the electronic *gadgets* Sweet!
Cin
-
Looks nice.
2 laptops too....
(and not one ancient and one newer as in my case) -
Thanks guys~!
Yeah, i was really hesitant posting a pic of my desk because it was so messy.... thanks to Cin, she motivated me to clean my desk
Actually, i've got 3 kinda new lappys right now
2 Asus U6, and 1 Asus G71G. I've got an old dell somewhere in my room too, but it's not picture worthy
-
If you look at my picture a few posts back - the old Medion had a coffee induced keyboard failure
-
See...it wasn't so bad!!
I only have 1 lappy, 1 netbook and a very old desktop (I use as backup)
Ohh, coffee induced coma eh??
lol
Cin
-
Lol~ i love how you have an external keyboard on top of your lappy
Oh, my desk is from Ikea too
-
Best place I have for it
Especially - a three year old laptop, external keyboard, 16 Pounds, new internal one 100€ - oh, and the battery life has sunk to about 30 minutes too... -
Thank you Cin´ for welcoming
, I´m glad you like my room
Well, next foto from after a few days .... 1 big rule
More cables=More mess=More problems
... hh but still can survive
-
It's looking really good..I like your set up, and all your electronic's!
Those Logitech Speakers are sweet~!
How well do you like them??
Oh, you can get ties, tubes, etc. to straighten out the cable/wire problem
Me, I used a *scarf* of mine, and twisted it around all the cables/wires, and it worked out great!
Out of sight, out of mind, I say!

Very nice set up. I thought I should mention, however, you would get alot better sound if you put that sub woofer on the floor and maybe in a corner facing the wall. This will allow the "indirect" low frequences to ingulf you in the way the speaker is designed. Plus, you'll have more table top space!
-
Yeah, it was under the table but there was no enough space for feet
, and I was always kicking the front of subwoofer. I just love Z-2300...can´t imagine better 2+1 speakers in that price...
-
soo many ASUS'!!! they look so coool!
-
I agree, Z-2300 owns for the ~$100 price point. Especially for bass-y music. I just wish the satellites had dedicated tweeters. I'd be willing to pay $150 if they did.

Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
Mi familia moved into a new house in October, I no longer share a room with my brother. I have the Inspiron and the EEE while he has his Vaio SR.
BTW, the EEE is never on the desk, I am always using it in bed.
-
ValkyrieLenneth Notebook Evangelist
I'd rather use the SR than stuck with that 9100 (even with the EEE as a plus), you know
-
Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
Me too, but as it says below, I am waiting for 32nm Nehalem laptop processors coming in 2010 before I upgrade. -
as soon as i find something that can support my new m1730, i will take pictures
-
Nice setups guys-I would posted mine but I have lost my camera
-
Jay...I like everything about your setup
Nice simple and clean..and the gadgets also are good to go!
Cin

merry christmas to probably the best thread on NBR
Hotness Woodstock time to put that core 2 extreme in there ill give you one for christmas
-
I reserve this for when my laptop returns.
-
wow!! All these nice and clean rooms make me ashamed of mine. I dont think i m gonna put up pics of mine anytime soon
-
Dude.....clear some time and start browsing this thread from the beginning. Once you get into it, I guarantee you'll find some rooms/setups that aren't 100% squeaky clean
-
A Sweet Christmas Beast!!!
Cin
-
it is surprising how much bigger it is than a m1710, i thought that was big...
-
You know, the pic actually makes it look rather thin. Then you look over at the mouse; it's just slightly taller than the computer lol.
-
it is only kinda black... it has this ugly pattern all over it, i hate it an i think i will be sending it in to be painted soon. i like matte finish, not this glossy stuff.
-
your right, the mouse is big too, but good comparison!
-
Still looks better than the liquid metal finish on pretty much every consumer level HP
