$290 laptop I just built for my parents, currently in use for Dota parties.

Great rooms everyone. I saw some great ones in the last 10 pages (I really enjoyed P4rD0nM3's setup with the plants and the color theme in the room). I've been reading this thread since it first started, and decided to post my simple setup. I have a relatively small living space now, so I make due with most of my gadgets clumped in a single area on a small table surface. I enjoy it as it is though.

Yep, it's an Ikea simple computer desk. Serves its purpose I suppose...and I like white.

Thanks. The prices have been on the downswing over the past year. This monitor was over $600 just a few months ago, and now it goes for just $340. It's a TN panel, but it certainly has an excellent image quality, nice physical look, and lots of screen real-estate.

@futureperfec: have you ever get tired with the wall color?
I will be drained out with the red color cover around me.

Only issue I have had is at first I had a lot of trouble staying asleep, waking up every few hours. After a couple weeks though it didnt really bother me much anymore.


One thing Ive noticed is people have a hard time staying still in my room. They either have to be playing with something or pacing about. To help w/ the pacing I keep a stock of mind puzzles and reading material around.

I almost painted a room in my house that color..but it was a lighter/warmer shade. I was torn between a few colors, so I ended up with a really nice sage color. Hard to describe, but it works great and blends well with the Artwork I have on my walls!

I've been to the Ozarks, while doing my undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University.

 

I used to work in a paint store years ago and that color was one I designed. I called it Vortex Red cause it looks very deep.

Did you visit the giant Jesus statue or try any of our famous corn moonshine? Guaranteed to make you blind w/ drunken bliss.

 

It's a good color choice, that's cool you designed it

Yea, same here, been viewing this thread for over a year now, but never threw mine in there because it's just not what I want it to look like yet. I've been looking for some inspiration and design ideas. I want a very moden, and open style with bright colors that let in alot of light. But looking at FuturePerfect's room, it looks like I might want to go with red for a base color, it just looks so nice the way that red room is. So I was thinking to paint the walls red, and the trim a flat grey, and either put in wood tile, or a black carpet.

In any case, I think I might take some pics of my current setup in an hour or so, and mabe some of you could give me a suggestion on what color theme you think it should use.

a bit of repairing))) had to take the whole thing apart just to solder the power connector which got loose...

Unfortunately, haven't got pictures of it other than disassembled. It works, but i gave it to my parents)) Got a new lappy recently and don't need this one anymore.
