I love that desk! Mine is great and all but cannot fit the 3 PCs I use and have in my office on it.

 

i went to office depot yesterday and saw some really nice desks, similar to the one u quoted, for well under $200. there were a few different styles to choose from as well. the office depot i went to also had alot of nice stuff on clearance like d-link 655 routers for half price.

 

I'm going to wager you've seen a considerable drop in both noise and temperatures since switching your CPU cooler?

 

i guess i can call this my new "computer room". excuse all those shoes and purses on the floor. they're mostly my GF's junk, and i gotta build/buy some kind of shelving unit to go along that wall. i just got that versace purse for her recently and she's never even worn it. women are so wasteful...

Nice setup and I see you're still like me in that you have a wall at your back instead of an open room. Drives me nuts when I have a desk up against the wall and the room at my back.

hey, we gotta keep that good feng shui flowing! plus there have been alot of break ins around here lately. with this set up i'm facing my front door, and i also have a great view of the rest of my house, due to my open floor plan.

 

Love this. Just wish I had enough room for a desk like that.

Anyone have any recommendations on some good office desk chairs that they're using in their setup? Preferably under $100. I've been using a cheap $30 one forever and the cushioning is horrible.

This is mine. Gateway 17" FX is the laptop, PC was built by me, that's a 24" and a 21" LCD on the desk. Very comfy chair, my back-side never gets sore.



This is my man-cave, out in the garage. This computer gets all the hand-me-down parts from the office computer. It's actually a pretty decent machine that can play most games if I want it to. Very handy when you're working on something in the garage if you want to listen to music or a ball game or whatever. It gets just as much use as my main computer really, except for the winter when it's cold.

You may want to check your local Ikea, Staples, Office Depot, etc. Even, discounted Office Furniture "showrooms". You should be able to find some really decent deals for Less than $100

I've found $25 chairs at Big Lots and Goodwill. Big Lots sells new and Goodwill has stuff that's been donated. I bought a laptop table on rollers that Walmart sells for $80, I got the same one for $24 at Big Lots.

 

i got my current meshed-back chair from overstock.com. they actually have alot of stuff, sometimes at very good prices.

But yours and mine probably looked similar. I ended up buying a chair cushion from target to put on top of the padding since it got worn out so fast.

I'd preferably like to keep the price between $50-$75 but I'm not sure how good of a chair I could get for 50 bucks. I've checked around ikea and staples before and actually really like the mesh chairs, but a lot of the nice ones with arms are pretty expensive. I also don't know how good the quality imitation leather ones will be. Real leather is way out of my price range. I'm honestly just more concerned with the seat itself. My butt has been traumatized by bad seat cushions...

Thanks for the advice everyone. Browsing overstock right now. Big lots and goodwill sound good and I probably never would've thought of checking there. Maybe I'll check craigslist too.

Well it was my ex's, not the best chair LOLZ, that's all i am saying. Anyway, I want to put some expensive chairs for 200 bucks i saw at best buy and then 200 bucks for a computer table like yours with shelves, but first off need to do some more cleaning. Mydoom, one of the greatest films of the past Century, Shindlers list, i really don't know what happens to these actors after these types of films it quite sad how downhill they go...

i always wondered why those iphone cradles/docks aren't even shaped to fit an iphone properly. i've ordered several different ones, from different sources, and they're all made for ipods. stupid apple products.

if u goto B&M staples and office depot stores, they usually have a clearance section with alot of different desks to choose from. they are very well priced as well.

i got my desk from euroway.

 

why do you have three monitors

 

One for the Mac, two others for Windows. Simple enough for you?
