The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Ah poor Snookie, all I can do is offer you a hug and a pound man. :)

    As for the 17" models, the 17" starts at 2.8ghz now and has a 3.06ghz option. Unless you're CPU starved, a older 2.66 is more than enough to have your system GPU bound with the 9600. 2.8/3.06 is nice if you have the scratch.
