You can get the new version from eluktronics, just right click on the download link in chrome, inspect element and change the version number to the new version and you'll download it. They just haven't updated their site yet

When installing the updated CC and the newest drivers, I accidentally installed Geforce Experience. After reboot I had high power draw. However after uninstalling Geforce Experience I no longer had that issue. Everything seems to work fine now.

Is the new control center working fine with Throttlestop or intel xtu and not causing higher power usage with these apps

I haven't used it for long updated it only a few hours ago. Through a couple hours of gaming tests everything is the same with throttle stop and msi afterburner. My only issue with the laptop is games running well on full screen vs windowed full screen, which was a problem before.

@XMG is ANSI keyboard possible after all? Do you have a stencil for russian layout?

    What’s the reason behind this:

I was using Google Chrome for work then suddenly received a Blue Screen error, then it rebooted itself and said that it cannot detect a bootable device.

A hard restart fixed the problem, but that scared the **** out of me and I don’t want to see that problem again.

    1. What caused it?
    2. Does that damage my laptop in any way?

This is correct. The Control Center is programmed in a rather monolithic way. The fact that the visual feedback of rapidly pressing Fn buttons is relatively slow has already been reported to Intel and this is clearly related to the bursts of CPU usage.

Language can be changed at the top-right little cogwheel in the Control Center.

They reproduced that external screen has stutter when (and ONLY when) internal screen is disconnected. I believe this will be fixed in a future BIOS update.

This is new to me. I gotta dig into this topic later.

Generally, yes. Every laptop based on Intel QC71.

No plans for ANSI from us. Russian Layout on ISO keyboard is here.

    1. Sound like maybe a damaged SSD. What SSD are you using? Any special RAID/IRST/Optane options?
    2. No. A bluescreen does not damage your laptop. It's pretty much the same as cutting the power to your PC or any other appliance. Worst case: loss of currently unsaved data.

I appreciate your feedback Tom, thank you. I don't know if it came with any special options (whatever those are), but I personally did not do anything to the laptop.

Has any Aftershock Vapor 15 owners opened their laptop? I purchased the " 512GB M.2 NVME ULTRA FAST SSD (R: 3200 Mb/s | W: 2150 Mb/s)" option and was wondering if anyone has the same SSD and knows what brand it is.

    Hello there,
Thanks for your help Tom. I have some question.

    1) After plugging external monitor with HDMI via thunderbolt, all applications works with my 2070 max-q. It also can be seen in nvidia control panel. Is Intel aware of this problem? Is there any way to solve this problem?

    2) Is there any possibility that future updates may not work with new control center? have they told you something about that?

    3) I know, it is not designed work other operating systems but I already installed Ubuntu on different partition. But there are really high power drain. Is there anyway to solve this? It last like 1.30 hours

Something I've noticed just now after the issue occurred, I've noticed that the light bar doesn't turn on anymore upon booting. It used to light up when booting.

Another thing, with the recent update to the Control Center, is it now safe to update NVIDIA Drivers as users please?

I use my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller wireless to play Dark Souls 3, and I did not come across any issues. I did have to tweak some NVIDIA Control Panel settings for the game, but it does run smoothly now.

Ok still want to order it to russia, unfortunately XMG representative told me that they need to assemble an item before i can buy it and it will be no earlier than start of Jan which is sad so i'm still thinking of ordering Mag.
I found it for $1499 on newegg site (it telling that Reseller is Eluktronics): https://www.newegg.com/matte-black-...mag_15_eluktronics-_-9SIA8S1A153169-_-Product
Guys, while im not from US, can you recommend this?
Do you think i should pay for extra service on proxy mail to check it for broken pixels and overall working?

Power management mode - Prefer maximum performance
    Threaded optimization - On
    Triple Buffering - On
    (Source: https://steamcommunity.com/app/374320/discussions/0/365163686080707830/)

And then in-game, I turned off Depth of Field and Motion Blur. All other settings are at High/Max. Game looks beautiful at a constant 60 fps.

I also did tweaks to Nioh 'coz that game was unplayable before the tweaks. Now also a beautiful game at a constant 60 fps, but there were significantly more tweaks to be made. (Source: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1195069538)

I wasn't AFK at the time that it happened, but I was in and out of AFK. If I remember correctly, I was on Quiet profile, unplugged (not 100% on this).

If you order from eluktronics you still have to wait as they are also sold out. The time you have to wait is something you have to ask them.

Hey does anyone know how much power the USB-C port can put out?

If the battery on the QC7 is basically the max allowed by the FAA, then the 17" version is going to have worse battery life because the battery size can't increase but there's now a bigger display it has to drive?

Install memtest on usb and then boot from it: https://www.memtest86.com/

Run some tests and check if your ram is ok. Bad ram can cause system instability.

Check your ssd for bad blocks with https://www.hdsentinel.com/download.php

I don't think it works like that, maybe be power draw is slightly more because there maybe are more LEDs. But should be negligible.

Lol, they could have just made the QC7 without these dumb cutouts. They did on the: GK5CP7Y which is the same build, but better.

Found a seller for the QC7 battery: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000242217969.html

The TongFang QK5CP7Y looks to have almost exact layout as QC7.

Perhaps you could buy this with the 240hz or oled and then buy this battery. Then you got better display, better chassis without those ugly cutouts and 2060/2070 max-p :) However it is not a mechanical keyboard looking at specs.

All GK5s have similar internal layout

QC7 battery wouldn't fit in GK5 chassis, probably including GK5-Y

Does the installation sequence matter? I ask because before updating to the 2.1.0.19 version of the Control Center, I already had 26.20.100.7463 installed.

I'm noticing that the performance under the Quiet and Balanced profiles seem to be a bit underwhelming, especially when unplugged. It feels a bit "skippy" if that makes sense. Not quite like the freezing problem before, but just a bit jumpy/laggy.

@XMG is there a way to keep the keyboard lighting buttons working while not having CC on. After hibernate or sleep I need to open CC to control the keyboard lighting and the application needs to be open else the lighting turns on after some inactivity on the keyboard.
