You're too modest about your photog skills - what camera were you using?

Also, come UT3 and other gaming benchmarks would be appreciated.

I will get the rest for you over the weekend.
As for the noise, this model compared to others is actually very quiet even under an extreme load. -
-
Also if you could demonstrate the ability to overclock the CPU on the fly within windows by using RMclcok, Set Fsb, or another utility, that would be very helpful and it is a very important aspect to me, that is why I am debating to get this in the future or the Asus G50V (light gaming laptop) because it is overclockable on the fly, I have the PLL code.
-
Yeah come on post some gaming benchmarks now. If it were me I would have posted them right away.

does the free 580mb version of 3dmark06 has the default settings? 1280x1024, etc..
-
He just got his new laptop a few days ago and has been asked repeadetly by tons of people to do this benchmark and that benchmark. I am sure he wants to just play a bunch of games for a few days lol

3D06 was posted by the member that started this thread a few pages back.
The 3D06 score will vary drastically depending on the CPU installed, anywhere from 11000-15000+
With a P9500-T9600 the 3D06 could be 12500-13500. -
I'm not sure if everyone here knows this, but there are three names to this laptop;
1. RKC-1756
2. OCZ Whitebook
3. Cyberpower Extreme M1
possibly other duplicates? so google may find other threads such as this;

and the Nagamaki.

And Dark SMiley Criterion something something.

At the moment it's no longer offered; it should be back up soon enough.

doing 14,800 in 3dmark

how to change the components

I`m very interested in the GPU temps especially, and what their max thermal output is...
However , I must note, there were users with a 8600M GT ddr3 and highly OCed CPUs and got close to 6.5k in 3dmark, yet my stock 7950GTX and stock T7500 got better gaming results.
That`s why we need GAMING BENCHMARKS... -
very true eleron911.
that's why i try to tell people... it's two kinds of over clocking plus stock.
1: speed over clocking for top benchmarks
2: quality control benchmarks, where everything is set to normal, but your system is over clocked for stability. (gaming & business applications)
3: then there is stock for the normal user who wants his system to perform like the over clocked systems of "yesterday"
side note: bios over clocking of cpu.... does this method have anything to do with changing the pci-e clocks as well? or is it just a simple multiplier change? from my times examining many different bios files, i have noticed that most of them have the settings for all of this, but that they are locked to the normal user. so when adjusting the FSB in the bios, doesn't it raise everything else as well?? unless your just changing the multiplier... i'm curious... -
john, I may be incorrect..but to the best of my knowledge if you bump the FSB, it bumps the entire system including PCI-e. Unless you have a volt mod, like those OC'ers in the 2008 Competition
-
it's what im thinking as well.... remember how we only gained like 2 to 4 frames more in gaming with extreme over clocking (gpu), but over clocking the cpu boosted that to at least double...(speculation of course)
-
It's made a hella difference.. I'll take +8FPS over +4FPS any day

Here are the scores and temps I have for the X9100:
This is out of box stock drivers:
X9100 @3.06Ghz
Dual Cards-Crossfire
Vista Ultimate 64-bit
4GB OCZ 1066Mhz
2 x WD 320 Black-Raid 0
All below recorded directly after a 3D06 run.
3DMark06= 13982
CPU 1= 49C
CPU 0= 43C
GPU = 60C
X9100 Overclocked by multiplier @3.33Ghz
Dual Cards-Crossfire
Vista Ultimate 64-bit
4GB OCZ 1066Mhz
2 x WD 320 Black-Raid 0
All below recorded directly after a 3D06 run.
3DMark06= 14697
CPU 1= 40C
CPU 0= 40C
GPU = 56C
I am now running the same config but with a T9400 CPU, when i get those I will post them. -
ati is looking like they may be back to stay.
now just waiting on some game benchmarks and im good. -
these are the max temps during 3dmark run ? did you run hwmonitor ?
seems strange as the o/c run gave much cooler results... -
[email protected] Company Representative
And yes I immediatly saw that too, the O/C was lower in the temps
And no, these were not during. As I posted they were taken immediatly after the 3D06 runs........... -
yeah, they drop about 10 to 15'c after you stop a run.
that is nice though! mine are in the 60's on idle. -
have the hw monitor run during the test in the background, this way once its finished you can see under the max tab how far it has peaked.
thanks for your time and the data provided. -
what up roy! how goes it?
i was going to suggest have it off to the side during a run... so when it goes to the next stage, you can see it for a brief few seconds.. but he is a retailer..so i didn't want to over step my info...LOL -

Here are the scores and temps I have for the T9400:
This is out of box stock drivers:
T9400 @2.53Ghz
Dual Cards-Crossfire
Vista Ultimate 64-bit
4GB OCZ 1066Mhz
2 x WD 320 Black-Raid 0
All below recorded directly after a 3D06 run.
3DMark06= 12055
CPU 1= 51C
CPU 0= 52C
GPU = 61C -
all is good, getting a bit envy with all my gateway comrades going for cf/sli...
so sniffing around... lol -
not mine. they drop instantly and they we're up to 80'c's when i ran orthos right now..*ouch* they are getting kind of warm. give that a try. it's strictly for stressing your cpu. use small fft's test. -
-
did you post a comprehensive review on your rig anywhere ?
i'll be waiting on e-wracked to disassemble the whitebook to bits while taking picture of every step -
nope, not yet. still compiling stuff on it. dont want to start taking apart if i decide not to hold on to it. say, i just ran orthos and it got stuck? wonder if that was a fluke. i walked out side right now, then came back in and it was frozen....hummm. time to stress the cpu.
-
I wonder what speed the video memory & gpu clock down to when the ATI Powerplay power management is on full? Whats the default clock speed on those GPUs and the video memory?
-
Nice temps on the other CPUS!! I can tell you the temps dont change much if you look at them as soon as it is stopped.
This machine is a beast. Great results so far RK =)
Just Received My RKC-1756 Extreme-OCZ Whitebook!
