Not sure what they clock down to but these are the defaults:
Default Clock=660MHz
Memory=850MHz

Thanks for the runs Noclue.. Very promising. I look forward to my own attempts. Any clue if the GPUs are OC friendly?

Honestly I have not gone that far yet. -
Gotcha. Well, thanks again for your effort. It's greatly appreciated. +rep

Just found these 3D06 Score pics from where i got my notebook for the X9100 Overclocked (RK Computers):

very nice temps there!
-
Is the TZ00 under ACPI the GPU temp?
Incidentally, I got my Nagamaki last week too.

Nice scores ccarollo

acpi reading are usually chipset / northbridge not gpu
-
Hm, yeah that's what I thought -- so what are people using to get GPU temps? I'm not seeing it show up anywhere...
-
did you try gpuz ?
-
I hadn't, but that works like a charm, thanks.
-
johnkss if you raise the FSB you raise the PCI-E,PCI and Ram, well basically everything. However in the desktop world you have full control of these where you can set the PCI to 33.3 MHz else it will just hang, same you can lock the PCI-E at the stock speeds. Raising the PCI-E much can destroy your GPU basically
I love overclocking and the desktops are so easy since the bios control is total, too bad laptops doesn´t have the same -
ccarollo, screen shots please? Cause I do have a x9100, and my OCZ will be here Wed. I'll make sure to post plenty of screen shots, and temps, and anything asked of me. I'd hope you do the same.

thanks in advance. -
im in agreement.. i have a desktop running the outdated q6600 & a gtx280 on a maximus formula x38 chipset. and i can configure all aspects of the system.
but on a laptop...they usually tie all that stuff together unless it's just the multiplier moving..(speculation of course) with laptops the multiplier can be tied in to everything else as well. if you run certain programs to monitor your bus speed..it will show the fsb speed dropping as the cpu clocks drop. im still not 100 percent sure the pci-e is affected in the process..... -
I'm only allowed to post URLs to other sites after I've made 15 posts or more, and I'm hosting all my photos on my own site. What a stupid restriction.
Guess I won't be posting my pictures on this site -- admins, is this really what you want? -

or even this quickie test

this has got to be the fastest test to test ones gpu frame rate in opengl -

Stupid filler post so I can post my **** pictures.

hey, what's up with the drink sitting next to our 3k investment?? sir!
and that carbon fiber is looking very nice -
But, I do appreciate the pics and screen shots. That thing is a beauty, and it gives me a great idea of what to expect with mine. Curious, when you OC'd the CPU..did you do it via BIOS? Does it max out @ 3.3GHz? And can you possibly grab a screen shot OC'd with cpu-z showing the bus speed and such? Dude, you'll get your +rep ASAP. And, be prowd of that rig.. show it off -
Vantage:
CPU topped out at 69C, GPU topped out at 81C. It's the only time I've seen the GPU over 78 or so. -
GPU-Z info:
Yeah I overclocked with the BIOS, a 12.5 multiplier gets you to 3.3Ghz, which is the highest it goes. -
Hmmm.. Can you post a CPU-Z shot of the x9100 overclocked? Please? And I wonder why they dont let you go any higher in the BIOS.. I believe the multiplier goes up to 17..
-
i thought you we're suppose to have 640 unified shaders???? 320 per card??
or is that correct?? -
Not sure why the BIOS doesn't list any higher multipliers. I'm no expert in overclocking. -
john, maybe it's just gpu-z? oh..and ccarollo, how much extra was it to add that x9100 to your setup? Or, did you already own it?
-
The x9100 was $200 more than the T9600.
-
not too shabby.. It performs great man! I'm very impressed
Ya got me droolin' over here on that backlit keyboard.. MMMmmmm... shiney, lights..
-
-
what up ali!! how goes it?
yep, that es chip is about 450 to 500 because mine was like 350 to 400 when i sold it all to alitunay
a retail chip is 1k or 853.00 if you buy like 1000 of them or are a decently known reseller... they told me 1k...said i wasn't known enough yet..*LOL*
j/k -
Eh, ES or no ES..it's a great chip. I can speak from experience. And, as long as it suits your needs..then roll with it ma'an!
-
you know me... i "had" an es and loved it to death! never a problem and performed well above what i thought it would.
but we are more or less talking about cost to machine.. now if it's given to me at street cost or slightly above street cost.. im with it..but when it says 960 bucks...ummmm, i aint with that!! better take off like 400 to 500 bucks!!
that's a blu ray drive, better hard drives or even a solidstate drive. -
Another note, let's not stray down that ES issue again now shall we? God forbid this thread gets closed as well. -
I got a NP5793 amd that thing is not really nay better than the P-7811 so I changed my mind. This time I am going for the whitebook if Xoticpc accepts my exchange request. I didn't even open the 5793 yet so I don't see any reason for not to. I'll put a x9000 in it and see what happenes. I am getting the barbone system with crossfire and 5300 wifi. Else will be my imagination. 2x500gb hdds in raid would be nice I guess. Anybody have a definitive answer on the capability this system has. I mean, I see all kinds of performance scores.
-
edit: and your 250.00 price above a p9500 falls right in where i said just above street price. also where i said that would be cool.(im with that) -

Ok, so do you want an ES chip, or do you not? thats my question, is it better, or just a cheaper imitation?
-
-
steveninspokane John 14:6 - Only ONE Way!
I noticed that K|N cost only $250 to go from the p9500 to the x9100 while xoticpc charges $550, Why does xoticpc cheagre $300 more than K|N? are am I looking at things all wrong?

all my 68xx fx brothers were very happy with their X-es cpus performance.
i still hold it as one my best purchases.
but lets drop it unless people ask specifics, as we already fought reconciled fought and got tired over this too many times. -
oh, i agree.. just making the price point
