Sorry it took so long to answer, I was out all day.

I did the same, looked and called a few other company's and most had no info/wrong info or no answers to give me. I pre-ordered this model from RK Computers, once they said they received it from the manufacture i had it at my door within 5 days.

They told no stories and shipped my notebook immediatly. It arrived and i had absolutly no problems to date, the O/S was installed perfect and they also included a driver/utility cd. I have seen a few posts here about another company that shipped without a complete driver cd ( found here) so be careful where your order. My notebook was double boxed and arrived in spotless condition.

I called a few times for various (and probably stupid questions) and got a live person on the phone every time!!

No recorded message, no press 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on.........

No leave a message, I actually called one nite when I got home late (about 1am) and still got a live person that answered all my questions without any hesitation.

I cannot make it clear enough that this is absolutly the BEST notebook and the BEST support I have EVER received from a company.

If you are still looking my vote is for these guys:

Did some looking around tonight while i was on and found that RK Computers now also offers the barebone model (they did not have this when i ordered). Did some research and it seems this is the least expensive price i can find. ($1289.00). http://www.rkcomputer.net/rkcnotebooks/index.php?l=product_detail&p=103

They also offer a 1 & 2 year extended warranty on the barebone for very little:
    2nd year $85.00
    3rd Year $145.00

The other companies i found wanted $160 & $190.00 for the same and their component prices were INSANE!!!!!

    $495.00 for a blu-ray and i paid $299.00...

At this price I think i may get another to keep at the office :p

Yes, this NB is drawing some serious consideration. I am liking the performance results I am seeing from the folks that received theirs. I have a lot of time to wait so we will see.

Who knows, Clevo may come out with the 9262's replacement by then.

The KN starting price is more than Xotic, so the $250 cost is already compensating that, meaning, if you both customize them with same parts the KN is still more expensive.

But does xoticpc offer the quads? How about their $750 upgrade to X9100? And the the CPUs come pre-over clocked? Dont just look at the price.

every other frame is either yellow, red or blinking. when i run in single gpu mode. it runs fine. not to mention that its running off the daughter card first and not the parent card first.

nothing, she just wasn't fastest enough was all... :)

yep, tried every combination possible, with the same results. along with trying 3 different os's and 20 different drivers.
    problems it can be:
    1: messed up sli cable
2: messed up parent card slot
    3: messed up gtx card

no I mean take both out and put each in individually. If both run fine by themselves it's a sli issue. If neither run it's the mother slot. If 1 is ok the other sucks it's a card issue well most likely LOL

yeah...kind of how i found out that it was runing off the daughter card slot and not the parent card slot.... and both cards will run fine indepentant of each other

edit: say hooper...did you fly some crysis benchmarks past me and i missed them some where along the lines??...*LOL*

edit: just got through doing the dual monitor test and it past scored a 10,800 on 3dmark06

kind of why im sitting here waiting on hooper to run a crysis benchmark. 1920x1200/high settings only.

that actually seems to be a hard one to find by people having the whitebook. and i have looked all over the place. i mean i really did like how they scaled the games. almost 30 to 32 frames (crysis) on high settings with no tweaks or patches or gpu or cpu over clock. i see what mastamarek ment..it runs way smoother...im pretty sure it has to do with the extra video memory.

and can't call them till monday, they are closed, but i did send an email. trying to see if im going to switch over or try again. dang man! where is your whitebook!..i would have had that test already...*LMAO* you would have been smacking me in the face with it...*LMAO*

I am the "Woman with the cartoon avvie", and I have come to steal your crayons! :p

Hehe, sorry for that; I have SLi 8800m GTX's, supossedly, Sager said that a disassembling fixed the laptop, which makes me suspect that the SLi Cable was out of place, loose, or the Parent and Daughter sides did not match the correct plugs, anyway, they told me the laptop scored 13,666 3DMarks at 3DMark 06, I do not know which drivers they used, will do some benchmarking when I get it back this week, and get everything set-up again.

A new bios for this chassis has been released: (W840-026)

Increase overclock, QX9300 will now overclock via bios to 3.33Ghz.

Resolves gaming issues and increased framerates.

I will post some game benchmarks tomorrow to see if the update does increase the FPS on some games...... :D

So they added more multiplier levels on the bios (up to 14.5 I assume)? That's great. I might wait for a QX9300 instead.

john, push that quad core to 3.3 GHz and give it a run ;) Nice scores.. I still think(cause I'm head-heavy(egotist)) that my 3dmark scores kill it. Id rather have sm2.0 and sm3.0 slaughtering it, than the CPU run..Heck, no game out there that is 100% cpu reliant..except maybe pong.

    Because they are lower???

I can see it coming already.
You objected to the quad core vs dual core, various other processor stipulations, the OS, and every other condition you could think of.

Now it is some portion of 3D06 as a contest, not actually 3D06 scores anymore.

Okay this is just from my rudimentary knowledge on it but...3DMark's total score is based on CPU scores and Shader Model scores.

E has higher SM.2.0&3.0 scores (7212&7919 according to the link in his sig) than those in the pic but a lower CPU score which makes his total 3DMark lower.

So my assumption is if a game doesn't utilize multiple cores it may not see the performance gain that the total 3DMark score suggest and that's why people say 3DMark scores are misleading and ask for actual game benchmarks. But that too I assume would depend on the rest of the system and if you do things like reserve cores for specific apps/games.

But again I'm not an expert on the subject....just my common sense guess.
