Just got my K|N QX9300 Nagamaki

Obama! Woot! I like that. Oh, and hoop.. If you compare your quad core CPU score of 4k+ to my 3k CPU score..you'll notice that I am really smoking the quad core setups with my x9100 and vista. Bud...Im over 1000+ on sm2.0 and 3.0 compared to the qx9300. And, y'all still are having trouble keeping up. I love ya hoop, dont take that comment the wrong way. Im just pointing out facts.

I can't help but make an analogy on this whole 3dmark06 score war with putting Supras and Vipers on the dyno...

People get so heated and hyped up regarding the numbers after the runs. Fun to watch though.

 

yes...but this test is still two vipers...just that one has 4 barrels and the other has 2.



it seems to be clear that the new ati's are racking up the 3d and vantage mark points like there is no tomorrow!
so i can't say anything about that. *LOL* i had to take a back seat when hoop knocked out my gt's in those test, but as far as gaming and frames in games..the gt's still we're holding out on top...

Dont worry that will change shortly as my score back then was without OCing the GPUS at ALL, in any event its just an epeen contest been busy and cant focus too much on it as I have had a boat load of real life stuff to do. I do have some nice *** scores I havent uploaded yet so you mihgt be in for a little surpirse. I will try to get them up tonight if not oh well you will have to wait till tommorow.

 

that sounds like me saying," dammn, all i can over clock is a GPU". now if i could over clock my CPU. do you honestly think it would be close?? seriously one gt or gtx can get 12k vista and 13k xp. come on now...i know your set up is a good one and all, but at the same time...lets keep with in a respectable boundary

 

Bud, my FC2 benchies last night were stock @ 3.06 GHz. And, well.. the new marks are based off an OC, of course. And that guy that posted the XP benches flashed a new BIOS to the cards. I haven't done any BIOS flashing..only software boosts. And Im not risking *wasting* my system cause I get too fancy..that other cat better watch it. I know you got a hella nice rig, and so do I. I'd hate to see either one of us ruin that. And you still havent posted your scores from last night that you said were coming up.. Wussup bro?

EDIT: And you can NOT OC the GPU to push another 1000+ on sm2.0 and 3.0 You'll have one smoldering, sparking box. Not even worthy of being called a rig. Don't waste your time. If anything, use that Core Optimization program..disable 2 cores to gain max performance with less power on the other 2..then pump those 2 cores for performance. *speculating the software really does what it says it does*

 

Ive been busy man. Doing this is just something for fun. I could care less if you win I win or some chinese man with 3 fingers wins. I was just going for the highest overall score. Nothing more nothing less. lol. I will get the **** posted up when I can just dont have time to atm as my rig isnt with me and I have business to attend too. Either way like I said before grats on the score.

Yeah. I have yet to see some benchmarks for UT3 and TF2 (games I play often). I guess I'll have to wait 1 more week to see for myself.

 

so you haven't found one ut3 or tf2 thread yet huh?... i just got far cry 2 and am waiting to test it on my machine...once it comes back. hopefully this week.

Nice what scores do you guys get in 3D Mark Vantage? Want to compare against my XPS M1730, however I only have an t7700 Core2Duo 2.4GHz so CPU wise I am crippled But anyway here is my Vantage score:

CPU Score: 4073

GPU Score: 9030

3D Mark Score: 6924

Anyway, I understand it's supposed to be friendly, but taken as a whole, across several threads, it's beginning to sound rather personal.

Splitting the thread sounds good. A friendly competition thread, rather than posting the same scores on several different threads.

Ashnitar was oc'ed his gpu 100mhz more than stock so I think someone oc'ed his gpu he'll get that point easily.

Well, I got the UT3 benchmarks already, or at least an idea of it, thanks to CNET, and it's not that bad compared to the M17x it is compared against (M17x had the X9000 processor and 2x 9800m GT SLi vs the M17 which had the P8400 and the 3870 x2):

Not quite that developed yet, since that's the 5.0 reiteration. It may one day work on that level though.

 

the proc makes a huge difference! If the x9100 was in the OCZ it would have been very evenly matched, if not better performing that the M17x.

 

I really dont like that cnet review. Why compare it to m17x?? its sooo old and still uses santa rosa. Compare the m17 to some new stuff like that x305 toshiba or 9262.

 

and compared to the 7811fx..and yea, that is a lame review. single GPU vs. dual. P8400 vs P7350 vs x9000 vs whatever..then they run multimedia tests and its a "suprise" that the slower CPUs dont perform as well..and then they run Graphix intense processes and it's a "suprise" the single cards blow. Whatever they were smokin, it must be good.

 

The best direct comparison would be vs. the Toshiba X305-706.

 

that p7350 is pretty weak tho.. but, agreed..given the circumstances it would be most comparable. And the x305 is only 1440x900

Skimping on the AW screen leaves enough cash to pick up a 320GB HD and 4GB of RAM and stay at the same price tag. The X305 will always have the 9400M Chipset though which is a pretty nice bonus.

To test the performance difference those would be the best notebooks to use.

sorry but that's a mainline laptop. just because 10 people in a forum don't like it...doesn't mean it isn't out selling all of the models i mentioned above.

 

I always liked toshibas but that new X307 is just ugllllyyy and very poorly put together. That said for $1999 I think it will blow the competition away. I also really hope that toshiba doesnt block the bios with the QX9300 model.

for $1999 u wont have a QX9300 either with OCZ or Toshiba. And Ocz without QX9300 is a useless machine. So u ll have to settle for P8400 which gets roughly 10.000 3dmarks06. I m pretty sure that pretty much anything even under $1999 can beat that

U re quite mistaken here. 9262 with an E8500 and dual GTX's will beat the living **** out of the OCZ with the equivalent core 2 duo chip
