I think pictures of jonhksss look prettier and crispier than pictures of mhooper1125. Can you show your settings?

pictures from COD in texture quality term
-
ahh, ok...i got cha.
-
Hey mhooper, "Wet Work" aint the prettiest level (Unless your on the hull). Play the online game of COD4, try and join a game with "Bog" as the map. That is the most stunning map IMO in COD4 imo.
-
Yea, the scenario sucks. I can tell you the picture is perfect. Also I havent adjusted anything at all with the screen as far as color display. and That was with brightness at default. Which I porbally should raise.
-
now what about the far cry2 bench ?
people say it scale much better than crysis for sli/cf -
I dont have Far cry 2 I can buy it tommorow if you would like. I have meetings most of the day and wont be abck until late tonight as I have to take some clients out on the town.
Next time I will adjust the screen brightness etc to make the pictures better I was just focused on the FPS at Max settings. -
dont buy it if you dont intend to play, you already spend too much on this
-
I mean the texture from jonhksss's picture look shaper than your picture. your picture look flat and plain in my opinion (but it's only my opinion)
I agree with royk50 don't buy it if you don't intend to play -
I have some better pictures comming alot of the screenshots were taken at bad times. sicne i just had it set on auto and I didnt sort through just poste dthem all. I have a bunch more I will upload shortly that show more of a terrain detail. I wish I could get to a differnet level. Going to have to do the online thing as suggested as the ship jsut isnt doing it lol.
-
Ok, either late tonight or tommorow I will have the following game benchmarks in game fraps or with the utilities:
WoW
Crysis
Crysis Warhead
Depending on what time I get back,
Will also have uploaded better pics for COD4 they are on my HD just photobuckect is being a *****.
Also as to the quliaty of the pics I noticed and was looking the forum downsized them so here are the direct links below of all the pics in one LONG LONG thread. -
Messed up image tags.
Will have to get them all again when I get back. -
all good hooper. you dont need so many images. just like 5 or so starting with the first two options screens then about 5 to 10 frame shot screens. then upload them one at a time so they keep the same resolution as when you took them.
-
waiting to see what this does on WoW
-
From what I believe, if this thing can play Cyrsis on a high level with good FPS. Then it shouldn't even break a sweat with WoW.
Right now Cyrsis is the standard. If your NB can go through Cyrsis like it's no thing, then all other games should be good to go. -
Sorry for the delay, Benchamrks are still comming.
However the news to report is Mark has been working with me busting his *** to overclock my QX9300 to 3.5 possibly 3.7Gigs. -
-
man 3.5 would be just amazing. However, in my opinion that would be too high. I say 3.0 would be a nice balance of performance. I wonder what the temps would be at 3.5 and how long the component will last.
-
It has already been proven by Intel in this chassis that it will work:
See Here:
http://guruofgaming.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=2377 -
man, that would is sick. your score would go up at least 1500.
-
he is at 3.3 now
-
yeah, even that is amazing. i wish i could overclock my 2.0ghz p7350 to maybe 2.25 or 2.50 max. i know that i can safely overclock a friends acer aspire 3680 from 1.86ghz to 2.4ghz, and the temps dont go above 150, especially after we opened it up and took out this crap that blocked the fan. half of the fan vent was blocked!!!! and this is on all 3680's as another person i know has the same thing. plus opening up the 3680 is extremely difficult.
-
off topic.
150 what??? Celsius or Fahrenheit??
but lets not get off topic.... -
yeah, sorry about that. its still quite correlateable since we are currently discussing overclocking and going from 2.5 to 3.5, which almosts insists for me to include my overclocking experience somewhat similar to the qx9300 one.
-
Did you see my temps? adn see what I am already OCed too?
-
no, what are they?
-
Temps:
I ran 3dMark 2 times in a row-
Temps using: HWmonitor
Here you go--
GPU- Min. 45C- 113F : Max : 68C - 154F
Cores-
#0- Min 37C- 98F Max 67C- 152F
#1- Min 40C- 104F Max 68C- 154F
#2- Min 36C-96F Max 65C-149F
#3- Min 41C-105F Max 67C- 152F
Yes it was running in the background the entire time and that was the Max temps. Not after it had run. So was ran in full screen mode for testing.
This is with no notebook cooler. Its on one of the pages. lol -
is it overclocked? if so what speed? my temps are just like yours, except my GPU and not my CPU is oc'd.
-
mine are just above hoopers low..riding in at 50'c and highs at 70'c.
-
4G DDR-1333
QX9300- Only OCEd to 2.8 (just on the multiplier)
2- 320 HD's
Vista Ultimate
2- 3870's crossfire -
Ok, me and mark are getting it sorted out. We have made some pretty good progress. The Vantage scores at 3.7 Gigs were 11k from Intel we are shooting to beat that =)
This is going to rock everything out there. -
keep us posted hooper, im looking forward to that.
-
Are we at 3.5Ghz yet?
-
Not quite up to 3.5Gigs yet. After working with Mark on it we might be getting our hands on a copy of the overclocking software from Intel. It isnt released to the public yet and might not be until the i7
I gott a give him all the credit though he did almost all the work. He really goes above in beyond to be on the cutting edge.
Also some good info on the notebook coolers specifically designed for these. Those things are amazing. -
Hmm.. IDCC includes Intel XTU. Not sure if you can use just the XTU alone, but it is included with Intel Desktop Control Center.. currently available for download.
-
Yes Desktop control center =) It is ONLY available for the X38 motherboard.
-
well.. Intel has been showing off the Xtreme Tuning Utility for quite some time.. and it evidentally was used to do the latest quad-core OC. They are supposed to release XTU and XMP together with the newer boards and chipsets..yes. But, if you get a copy of IDCC you may be able to just use the XTU that comes with it, currently.
-
Just got off the phone with Intel:
916-377-7000
Intel recommends that you contact your local dealer or distributor before contacting Intel
Spoke to 4 differnet agents. Even referred them to the website that show the Extreme tuning Utility.
Response was maybe they are out there for Engineers but we dont have any inforamtion available at all at this time in regards to this the only Extremem tuning utility that we have any information on is the one for Desktop X38.
* I was calling before the first post. Doesnt take long to get through though just hard to understand.
Who knows we will see I was jsut trying to keep the thread up to date and appreciate Mark helping. =) -
Yeah, that sounds like some great service on mark's part. man, i wish i had someone to help me overclock my cpu. im unable to because no programs support my clock generator, and instead id like to overclock it through the bios.
by the way: couldn't you overclock the CPU FSB instead of adjusting the multiplier to also increase the memory speed since it is supposed to run at 1333mhz? -
It is all comming together Im going to benchmark crysis real quick on all High settings max res. Just reinstalling the new disk that I had gotten.
-
Yes, yes, yes
The ultimate test finally, big thx mhooper
-
there you are marek. your a hard one to catch up to!..*LOL*
question...what kind of frames are you getting in crysis on high/1680x1050? -
Yes I wanted to prove my boy worng and get my donought whole so I am getting it twead for very high =)
-
LMAO@hooper!
-
-
ok, because that's about what im getting.... close to 50 frames with the original configuration. as soon as i finish this last bench ill look to see what it was exactly...but i get 35 to 37 frames for 1920x1200 original configuration.
edit: 39 stock & 45 over clocked. -
New Drivers exclusively from Killer Notebooks:
