ummm, very high is far from playable sir...*LOL* (playable meaning: fluent play)

so just a simple 1920x1200 on high will do nicely for the masses..*LOL* quit showing off you very high. *LOL* you still didn't beat my final very high scores for a gt yet. *LOL* stock

 

Just wait that was before the new bios and since I just went up over the 15k mark Ill show you Very High =) So I will expect my donught hole.

Thank you though John. not too many laptops surpass the 15k mark in 3Do6 almost 15,100 =). But I cant really take crdit for it. It was Marks new bios along with a video tutorial on how to whipe the old one completely and re-install teh new one.

Yea I mean to make a video step by step guide showing you how to do it. I mean that was way more than I could have ever asked for made it super easy. He also included the programs to use to do it. He rocks!

and i dont remember what I ran it on last time lol

im only asking because i get to make a decision tomorrow on whether to send it back for rma or another one or just switch models.

 

Ok will do them tommorow before crysis. I put Furmark on a jump drive and cant find it.

 

I dont have a registered version of 3dmark06 just use the same standard version everyoen else does.

I think you got that point because of cpu oc to 3.1 ghz not from new driver. you oc your cpu 300 mhz that can push the 3dmark points so much

 

Won't overclocking degrade the life of the NB or is that just a myth that people have about overclocking?

It still is my Quad chip.

Game play is much much smoother with the new drivers. I will post some framerates for you guys. It is awesome. I have to run Furmark and a few other things today.

OC'ing will eventually accelerate the rate of degradation of the CPU if it's done frequently or for long periods of time. It's a little like running your car's engine on nitrous - a little whiff every now and then is not going to significantly accelerate the degradation of your motor, but if you're constantly holding that little red button down for minutes at a time (yeah, I know, it's an exaggeration - but it illustrates the point rather graphically ), you'll be buying a whole new block (at least) pretty soon.

it's slightly blurred from motion using fraps. it was taken for validity purposes only. doing 24.5 frames on everything set to very high specs

now these we're taken for what your looking for.

Very nice. And thank you. I was wondering about the blurring, looked almost like you took the shots with a digital camera while moving about slightly. Wasn't sure if you meant the blurring was due to your "messed up" cards.

and now that you mention it...i cant really say.. you could also be right. now that i think more on it. ill have to retest once i get this situation resolved, but while i was watching it....looked clear as a bell, but it was flickering allot do to the issues with the card. so ill leave that one in there air.

 

You ever get your card issue resolved? I finished the other benchmarks jus tahvent uploaded them yet.

 

they will start working on it tomorrow. they picked it up today. i think i finally figured out how to unlock the gtx power, but i couldn't tell if that we're fact or fiction due to how my cards, cable or card slots we're running.

Which one do you want to see. I mean I have 12 pages of them so far. I have reached 20FPS on VERY HIGH in crisis at 1920 x 1200, 15,000+ In 3Dmarks, Insane scores in Vantage. What are you missing?

 

that's 20 in crysis patched version, we we're talking about crysis no patched. *LOL*

edit: and where is your vantage...i haven't seen that one? is it on gog?

 

Actually IIRC it was on a frsh re-install of Crysis.

Actually was without the OC well it was OCed to 2.8 or whatever.

 

so you should be up to 22 frames then with your new over clock, correct?

I want to see pics from crysis benchmark that you got 20fps on very high. It got the same score with 9800gt sli. Good shows from you mhooper1125

that one was from a gtx run

gt's ending up being 20+ on 3 out of four with original crysis no patch. and a small over clock

the first run is always like that. I think maybe because its loading the textures in the memory still? Not sure but its common. I cant run a dx10 because im not gonna shell out 40 bucks or so on game ill never play, but for me the demo doesnt like these cards on dx10.

Hello Hoop, thank you so much for your testing. However, what's the max multipliers you can see in BIOS for this thing? Can you see 12.5?

 

12.5 is the max with the current Bios which sets it from 2.58 to ~2.8

 

nah it doesnt let me patch i could just run it with the graphical errors i guess. yes i have a 15k 3d06 score.

 

that's because your running under windows xp...if im not mistaken....

and what did you do....run it 3dmark twice in a row?

 

he was trying to reach that 15k mark and yea, XP will tend to perform a lil bit better.. just like in Crysis.

 

Does 3dmark take advantage of looping like the crysis demo? I just messed with driver stuff turning the ai off standard and advanced. I think it mainly just the oc on the cpu you can see vs e-wrecked his sm 3.0 is higher but my cpu is higher. I dont really understand how 3d06 calculates it all.
