The ram compartment is locket up to hard for me to open..
About downloading new vista driver, is it any particular you had i mind? Or just all of them? 'Cause I would, but I can only download 1GB a month and I'm pretty sure I'd exceed that limit if I was to download all the new drivers.. Btw, "vista" or "vista for intell" on compals site..?
-
I can't believe you could not get the cover off. I changed my hard drive out and the cover screws were a pain to get out but with a good quality screwdriver it will open. As far as the drivers go, you should just down load the video card driver for vista. You can find it at compal.com. look for EL80 and then go to vista, then 02_VGA, then the g73 driver. Hope this helps.
good luck -
I got the ram compartment open after some time.. The screw was not hard to get out, I just felt I was gonne break the cover when trying to open it. But it did not break and I and it turns out I only got 1 gb of ram, whilst I should have had 2 GB..
Downloaded the g73 driver and the computer now recognises the 7600, but i still cannot refresh the performance in Vista :\ But Aero runs very smooth even though the graphics is ratet to 1 but Vista -

Sorry to hear that you were shorted on your ram. I hope your builder will compensate you in some way. I have heard some bad stuff about Nvidia's drivers right now as well and all i can say is that i am sure they will get better with some time. Good luck with everyting

Definitely get in touch with your reseller about the missing RAM (if you have not already).

anyone figure out how to get scrolling with the touchpad to work in Vista yet?
-
Now I decided to drop the Intel software, just use the driver and let Windows regulate the wireless.
I was fed up with the more than 6 processes running for only wireless. -
AlphaGamma, I thought my drivers were all up to date, but your nice list tells me otherwise. But wait! I'm running XP. Are you perhaps running Vista?
Thanks. -
how do you guys get updates from Microsoft Update? I just went to the site and it only found new drivers for my realtek ethernet card, and everything else was "apparently" up to date. All my drivers except for the graphics ones are still from the original driver CD. Maybe they put the latest drivers on it?

You should get your driver updates from the manufacturer, not Windows.
For the HEL80 go to http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/TechSupportDriversDownloadPage.htm#EL80 -
Did some updates.

You should have received 2 divers that were to stay at your side 24/7. All you have to do is feed them kelp and they will protect you
However as with anything else, unless you complain within 24 hours of receiving your shipment no one will believe that you did not get them. -
That made me bust out laughing in the middle of a presentation... Good Job Donald! Made my day..

Games like BF2 / BF2142 can now be used in HARDWARE mode for the audio. I guess this means they fixed the EAX stuff. -

In case nobody noticed, latest Nvidias Forceware 94.24 for GeForce 7xxx series is not officially listed as a driver for 7xxx Go series, but it supports them without any modifications:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_94.24.html
One way or another, but its better than 84.74, since that old version has a lot of unfixed bug issues with newer games. And furthermore this one is WHQL signed -
It is WHQL signed, but not for laptops -
- VGA: NVIDIA ForceWare 94.24

Proof. I was the first who posted result like that with go 7600.Unfortunately my BSEL stopped working properly and I can't get 4000+ score any mode.

Realtek RTL8111B/RTL8168B/RTL8111/RTL8168/RTL8111C drivers:

Maybe nvidia at first forgot to remove 7600 support. I downloaded this the very first day. The release itself was dated May 18, and those at nvidia's website now are May 31.
Uploading it to rapidshare now. -
-
You can also download the driver, extract it and replace nv4_disp.inf with a proper one from laptopvideo2go.com. That way you can use any driver you want.
-
Yes, but it won't be WHQL signed
-
Who cares
.

I discovered now that the 94.24 drivers still suck for TV-out, again wrong aspect ratio output, back to 84.74.
-
umm which of the updated drivers will work in vista, i just downloaded some and so far only one actually worked.
-
All the drivers from downloadfinder.intel.com will work perfectly. I wouldn't recommend using the VGA drivers from the Intel site though, use the latest drivers from nvidia.com instead (as mentioned above).
-
All drivers are available at Compal´s site.
Mine came pre-installed with Vista Home Premium, everything working fine.
I updated all the drivers after sometime... -
Does anybody know what happend to biz-com? does anybody have url with simmilar page (that compal drivers download site sucks couse drivers are fragmented on multiple files.)
-
never mind, its working again
