Question about Xoticpc and the 840

My Whitebook rocks. i'm maxing out games and getting steady framerates. my 8600m gs couldnt dare to dreaming doing this.

is there a lost planet demo. i cant find my game right now. i know my old hp couldnt run it all on low settings and res.

Thanks i really do. i'm glad i got it to because they just stop doing the whole whitebook stuff. still not really sure. but as long as they keep updating the drivers and bios and stuff i'm happy.
but i cant open my control center. it gives me errors.

 

what do you mean? the ati control center?

 

yeah Catalyst Control Center i get
could not load file or assembly 'CLI.Implementation' or one of its dependencies.
the system cannot find the file specified.

ok thanks and i'm using i dont know what i'm using. lol. i'm installing net framework 3.5 because i ati control center isnt working so i hope that is the solution

 

what driver did you install for the gpu's

 

.net framework seemed to fix some installation issues for me. This is E-Wrecked's 9.1 driver link. So far E-Wrecked's drivers are the only ones that install without problems for me. Here they are http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=347616 .

 

i installed 9.1 and i'm doing it again now. uninstalled everything from ati and doing it again. this hdd is killing me. i spend more time waiting for it to load then to use it. Lol.

 

9.2 is due out soon which should fix some issues of 9.1 9.1 works pretty good though i personally prefer the previosu version 8.12's myself. 9.1 has given me some issues.

 

ok i'm using stock 9.1 now and doing crysis and farcry2 benchmarks real quick if someone can post theres. and the drivers

That Cll error can be a pain. Lemme know if it continues.. You may also see MOM.exe errors.. If you can't get it to go away I'll walk you thru it. Congrats on the rig

 

No i got it now i just uninstalled everything that said ATI. installed framework 3.5 and reinstall ati stuff and i was good.

There is a huge difference between your results and mine, when run at the same settings. Mine are roughly 1/2 of yours. Which drivers did you use? My Farcry 2 Average was 20.92, my max was 37.05, and my minimum was 8.9 . Where am I going wrong?

 

How you have a quad core? i thought i would be left in the dust by everyone. i'm using 9.1 from ati.

No. You were spot on, I re installed the drivers, and everything jumped up,like it should be. As for my cpu smoking yours, I doubt it until they sort out the incorrect voltages for the QX9300 in the next bios. Until then, my gpu will slighty underclock because my cpu voltage is off.

yeah the quads still have a few bugs to work out. running great don!!

 

Average fps is 41.81, Maximum is 73.99, and minimum is 20.90...

Yeah.. I suggest 8.12 cause 9.1 has issues. I'm gonna try to keep up with the ATI releases and mod 9.2 when it's released. Hope it brings better luck to everyone.
