Ah ok...i downloaded new drivers from laptopdrivers2go and they improved things...maybe not by much...but initially when i ran 3dmark it was low score...than i ran it again and made sure i didn't have any programs running but that...and it was more realistic...finally with the drivers i downloaded my 3dmark score is 3328. My vista experience for graphics is 4.7, gaming graphics is 5.2.

based on the following its about dead middle which is cool with me. So you can just go and get other drivers.

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html

Benselby2a well initially I ordered the FL90 when they didn't have a delay reported...they called me and offered me the FL90E and the carry case for the inconvenience and that was cool by me. Delivery was dead on 14 woking days if i remember correctly.

When I went to add the FL90 to my basket, it said "estimated delivery August 4th" ! That's well over a month! :( By the way, is that a UK keyboard you've got there, because it has foreign symbols on it. But no biggy - since the layout seems like UK to me.

thanks alot - im currently using an X800 with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ single core processor in my desktop which runs everything i need at respectable levels of detail so the FL90E is gonna be a big improvement. And the drivers are only gonna get better!

First off i wanna thank you guys for all the time you put into this forum. Now i am thinking about my first laptop and like the FL90E i love my footie manager and to be honest i play that and another one or 2 games not major ones as i have a xbox 360 so play my games on that so i was thinking about the 2.2 chip and 4 gig of ram as i think this is a steal at this price any of you dudes that play footie manager how will the game play on this spec and i like to play many leagues running at the same time any ideas on how much i will be able to run......................................Fritzy once again thank you for your time guys

battery life? ok i'm gonna have to wait to give you an accurate measure...i've had it plugged in to do all the 3dmark stuff and make sure it runs at full speed etc.

in vista 32bit you'll only see 3.5GB max is what i've heard but still nice to have 4gb because you can always upgrade to 64bit vista....seems like a alot of power to be playing footie manager though...you wouldn't need that much I would think but if you have the money get the most you can.

my bros are addicted to footie manager they play it on a celeron m 1.6GHz with 1GB of ram...

I'm sure with 2.2GHz dual core and 4GB of ram you could play a lot of leagues :D

i think the gist with FM is that you can run it on anything but since its highly processor and RAM dependant, more of that will help.

Thanks for the nice review noustyle and the pictures are fine, I can see all the details I was looking for.

When you say the keyboard is a little noisy is that a tapping noise or a clicking noise of the keys?
I also noticed there appears to be some foreign letters on a few of the vowel keys, even though the rest is a standard UK layout.

One last thing, is there a keyboard short cut to turn off the screen? My current acer has a nice Fn + F6 shortcut that turns off the screen's backlight, which I find useful for when I leave my laptop on while I'm not around.

Thanks again for the review, it was helpful.

rizeon advised me that there's some uncertainty about the supply situation of the S37E chassis at the moment. I don't like uncertainty and when I found out that Dell's delivery period for the M1330 isn't as long as I expected, I gave my business to Dell.

The keyboard makes a more of a tapping noise I would say...

Its a UK keyboard but has the european accents.

I used to have an Asus that had that feature, this one doesn't...I used to use it too...but I find FN +F1 to hibernate a lot better with the newer centrino systems because they boot up quicker and they add the power saving feature I guess.

My M1330's spec is here. £879.01 (I wonder, with hindsight, whether I could have haggled it down a bit further) with eta 20th July. I phoned up to get the £849 version downgraded to the Intel GPU, upgraded to the LED backlit display and added an extra 6 cell bttery. I hope the Intel GPU and the LED display will help stretch the battery life, but I don't like the shape of the M1330's 9 cell battery. I stuck with the standard 120GB HDD because I plan to drop in 250GB.

I desperately need my laptop before I start uni on the 20th of september.

yeh I e-mailed them to check when their credit card service would be up again and they told me that they have had another delay with the chassis so will not get any until the start of sept. They also said that they may be getting some of the matte 1650x1050 versions in before that if they can but that will be a month aswell... the rock pegasus 670 is looking more tempting all the time, problem is the vast overpricing of its upgrades... £130 to up from 120gb 5400 to 160gb 7200!?! they gota be joking

I see that Rizeon have slipped the availability of the S37E / S37S to September. I presume that Asus is not coming up with the hardware. Did Dell buy up all the 13.3" LCD panels?

I was really looking forward to the S37S reviews...I can't believe Asus are delaying it that much...really hurting rizeon and the other resellers in the US i would imagine.

The ASUS G1S scored 3630 in 3dmark06. It has the same GPU but 256mb on gddr3. do you think this was because of the T7500 CPU?

that 3dmark06 score worried me a bit

I ordered a Rizeon IFL90 model on the 15th January. Thanks to the incompetence of City Link, mine and four other people's systems were lost on the same day of delivery. Rizeon are excellent with their customer service and keeping me updated on the situation. :) They are giving me an updated sytem for no extra cost, and it will be transported with a different courior this time!

Just curious if anyone else out there had this problem or has recent placed an order? :)
