Hi, what we do is download and install the Realtek drivers 1st and then install the Sound Blaster app and it works fine.

We don't have a direct channel with TongFang yet, sorry :(

So I've downloaded the drivers and ran both of them, restarted my computer and nothing is appearing, from the microsoft store, is there an order that I have to load these files for SB5

Have you downloaded the Realtek HD Audio driver from the Realtek site? Then you can just add the Sound Blaster app through the MS store.

I used the current realtek driver from another vendor, do you know where is the Realtek HD Audio Driver located on the Realtek site? The site seems to have updated and moved it somewhere.

EDIT: Nvm, the Realtek drivers from the other vendor worked with the software that you provide, a lot of vendors said SB5/SBC downloaded automatically but guess that not true with this version of the driver. In other word, this fixes me being without SB5/SBC for 2 weeks. This method seems to be easier than method Electronics provided which had 3 different files and you had to restart and follow an order, Mechrevo's method wanted me to enable develop app mode as well as access powershell and add confusing commands with the instructions being in Chinese.

I think that link has a typo, it only redirects me to the front page of mediafire.

I updated my testing, read my next post. Some of the information here is bit incorrect.

So I tried installing both INPHTECH's driver provided (http://www.mediafire.com/file/ocosobo9m3ghwzm/HDaudio-64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_Win10_R282.exe/file) and then changed over to Eluktronic's driver for realtek (not going to provide link since it looks like a custom version) , they are both different realtek drivers but both of them work only with INPHTECH's Soundblaster install kit (http://download1644.mediafire.com/v1f5b915ko0g/a5wad7aaaa6m8x8/10_AP_SoundB) and it works even after changing realtek drivers without reinstalling the Soundblaster driver. Interesting to how INPHTECH's method isn't a 3 step method which Eluktronics and Mechrevo is, but one problem seems to be in some parts of the world, the Sound Blaster Connect is blocked in searching for it, if you prev. own it on your microsoft account, you can check it in "..." button>Downloads and updates>All owned>Sound Blaster Connect. If you don't prev. own it and it's blocked in your region, you have to use this link https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9N66RLJRT8Z2. Major credit to @Bruno@INPHTECH, this resolves a problem that other vendor make so confusing.

SB5/SBC improves audio quality incredibly, all alt.(Razer Surround, FX/DFX Equalizer) are no match.

Got my PC Specialist Recoil II 17.3" RTX 2070 today, made sure everything was up to date and no FPS issues in Apex Legends.

These are my out of the box 3D Mark Graphics Scores:

    Firestrike 1080p - 19398
    Firestrike Extreme 1440p - 9112
    Firestrike Ultra 4k - 4468
    Time Spy 1440p - 7517

No thermal throttling on the CPU or GPU.

I'm very happy with it, the 3D Mark scores on my overclocked 1070 Ti desktop that I replaced with this laptop were only about 10% higher. I'm sure with a mild OC on the 2070 GPU I may be able to get closer.

The proper way to get Sound Blaster 5 / Sound Blaster Connect to restored depends on which version of the laptop you got,
    Most GTX models (earlier models):
    Realtek: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ws3moh9mbrq1b2z/08_Audio_W10.zip/file
    SB5/SBC: http://www.mediafire.com/file/a5wad7aaaa6m8x8/10_AP_SoundBlaster_W10.zip/file
All RTX models and some GTX models (recently produced):
    Realtek: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ocosobo9m3ghwzm/HDaudio-64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_Win10_R282.exe/file
    SB5/SBC: http://www.mediafire.com/file/a5wad7aaaa6m8x8/10_AP_SoundBlaster_W10.zip/file

    Follow all of these steps:

Realtek will need to restart multiple times if you have a preexisting driver.
Let realtek do all the steps it needs to before opening the Sound Blaster install kit.
SB5/SBC just need both files to be opened,
then access Sound Blaster Connect on the Microsoft store either by:
    "..." button>Downloads and updates>All owned>Sound Blaster Connect or https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9N66RLJRT8Z2
Open SBC and it should just work.

Now to fix the crossover frequency to improve speaker quality and prevent damage to the subwoofer.
Open Sound Blaster Connect>Speaker Tab>Select Speaker Type> Custom>Crossover Frequency> ##Hz (not sure which Hz is the right spot yet, you can test yourself by going into the volume mixer, clicking on the speaker icon, go to levels and mute the speakers)
Make sure the Output toggle is set to the Speakers, not the Headphones which will change the behavior of the software a bit.
This software crossover solution is still however not perfect.
It seems there is going to need some real reprogramming involved.

The only way to get increase volume without any more programs:
Open Sound Blaster connect, set Smart Vol to Loud (note EQ can effect output sound for different Freq, same with bass and dialog+)

Does anyone know a method to test if a subwoofer is blown? I have a feeling mine and a ton of others are for running audio without SB5/SBC.

I have Soundblaster Connect installed on my system already, it must have been included from CyberpowerPC. The default crossover is 80Hz, who knows if that is ideal though...

I also tested my laptop for DPC latency issues (as per this article, thanks @ezradharma), but the program LatencyMon didn't find issues with my laptop. I still get the popping of speakers. It's not an issue for me personally, so if it's not an easy fix I don't really care. I'm not about to go through the huge checklist of things to fix.

I've messed with the crossover on the SBC, makes no changes at all... Broken I guess, finding a way to fix either SBC or editing the sound drivers are going to have to be the solution. Based on this guide, http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/p157sm-heavily-modded-speakersystem.812687, might trying custom boxes for the subwoofer at least, not really going to try anything big like new drivers and rewiring with old wires yet.

Should the fans be constantly audible when just browsing? They're not at full speed or anything but definitely a constant sound of air. Could it be because I'm using an external display connected via mini DP which means it's using the 2070 more? It doesn't seem to be pushing the core clocks up though, are the fans purely temperature controlled? At the moment with just browsing my CPU is fluctuating between 45-50 and GPU 38-40

I know in the case of the eluktronics model the game center has pretty comprehensive fan control in office mode. You can set can speeds based on temperature thresholds, because under light use like web browsing mine is silent when on office mode.

Looks like I can set the fan speed at 5 levels, although no idea what actual temperatures they equate to. I guess just dial them all back 25% or so?

The eluktronics mech 17 and the CyberpowerPC tracer are the same chassis, correct? Is there a comparison of these two machines or are they essentially the same?

    Hi,

i tried your method. However it does not seem to work for me. I have the OP 17+ with GTX 1060. The realtek driver actually fails to finish install for me in your GTX link. I tried other driver from your link and the web and they all work fine. However, I was unable to install SPKEQ_TF_PCAPP_US_1_00_13.exe. It does nothing for me. I was hoping you could shed some light into it. Thank you!

What BIOS version are other GK7CP7S owners running? My PC Specialist Recoil II 17" RTX 2070 came with BIOS 1.03 and EC 1.02.09, I've seen talk of BIOS 1.08 on here but I think that may be for the GTX models? Just double checking.

    Thanks

Well...I was enjoying my new laptop until the RTX 2070 disappeared from my system, I hadn't done anything with drivers etc. It just froze and then on reboot only the Intel graphics were present. PC Specialist are collecting it tomorrow.

Hmmmmmmm, I just powered up to try to fix it but now it's back again, without me having done anything. I've cancelled the RMA but going to keep an eye on this, I hope it's a one off but I don't like it when issues just "fix themselves", more than likely an intermittent hardware issue.

Overpower support is no help at all I been trying to fix my light bar issue after 1.08 bios update.

instead of showing me how to downgrade my bios or send me a newer bios I get question like "have you tried turning it off and on again?"

I'm going to have to see if I can flash eluktronic bios hopefully it as simple as using the F.bat

SPKEQ_TF_PCAPP_US_1_00_13.exe installs in the background, you really can't see it progress because it doesn't take any real time to process. The last step is to get the SBC from the Microsoft Store via the link: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9N66RLJRT8Z2

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately I tired literally every driver from OP support, Elektrunics, and your post and still get same error from soundblasterconnect saying my audio device is not found. However, the realtek driver made the sound a tiny bit louder than when I disabled it. I keep getting an error message saying RealTek HD audio cannot be installed when I tried to use your GTX realtek driver. Did you get the same error by any chance?

I've avoid any of those realtek errors by removing the realtek driver via control panel, then first installing the realtek for the GTX and letting it restart as many time as it wanted, then I applied the SBC driver and manually installed SBC. It could be that you have a different realtek chip maybe. I've been finding on my chip, it can use both realtek drivers but the non-exe version of the driver only work on my OP17+ with SBC.

weird. It still gives me that error after uninstalling as well. Did you remove from add/remove applications function? played around with it some more and the sound blaster connect app doesnt give me the error message anymore and instead just shows blank haha. Again, thank you for your help.

I havent tried it yet, however it looks like a member here is creating a new program to control everything that's better than our stock option. Here's the link to the part of the thread where it's mentioned.

Rev. Center 2.0 is a lot better but it's not fully developed yet, and support on RTX models is unknown.
This software gives you more lightning controls and a fan curve that isn't as poorly done as the RTX CC Tongfang created.

RTX owners: how is the temperature and fan noise? I had the 1060 and it was cool as a cucumber and fan noise was very acceptable. I saw some videos of Max Q and the CPU temp is over 90c and GPU throttle at 87c but that was Aero 15 in a very compact chassis.

Full 115w 2070 in mine and in games like anthem the cpu and gpu sit right at 77c with very short spikes to 80c.

Apex legends sits at 55-65c on cpu and gpu.

Fallout 4 sits at a solid 55c on cpu and gpu.

I play with the fan set to turbo and throw headphones on and the fan noise is a complete non issue. Even with the headphones off the fan noise isn't offensive but it is noticeable.

Note, my temps are representative of upgraded thermal compound by eluktronics. Liquid metal on cpu and arctic silver 5 on gpu. It's a $35 upgrade that you'd be crazy not to add to your purchase in my opinion.

How's the performance at those temps?

Quite incredible actually. Apex plays with everything maxed out and will on occasion dip to about 90 fps. Throughout most of the match it's usually making full use of the 144hz panel with an average fps in the 150 range.

Anthem is using the optimized settings from GeForce experience which is a combination of medium and high and that sits between 76 and 100fps, with the dips in frame rate being relatively rare and only during really intensive fights.

Fallout is fallout and plays about as well as it can.

I'd never go for a max-q varient, especially when you have the option of the full mobile versions that greatly outperform them.
