Uhm Zepto NL![]()
They are also tuning their A14 with 9650M GT's![]()
And I like your service, that isn't the issue, it's a great job...![]()
But why I should buy a Zepto from the USA as an European citizen isn't clear to me...
-
Come on guys, let's not get too testy here.
Zepto USA is doing one hell of a job.
I've been reading his posts over the last months and it seems like he's really into offering service to Znote buyers so there is absolutely no need to bash his posts here.
I've had godawfull service myself with the former Zepto reseller N4All here in the Netherlands (but they have been replaced by now by another reseller) so I know that when someone talks the talk, he has to show that he walks the walk but up to now Zepto USA has offered support as much as he can.
Before critizicing (spell-checker please?) him anymore, we would better await the judgement of US-based Znote buyers and only then make assumptions on our behalf.
Cheers.
(This is not a reply to your last post Colin, it's meant in general to those replying to ZeptoUSA) -
Amen!! You're totally right!
-
I've been trying to order the N14 since the specials were posted but I keep getting paypal errors
-
I think that all the Zepto Resellers are making a real effort to improve customer service and it's showing. It may not be as fast as some of the current customers would like, or even as fast as Zepto would like but they are trying. This is a good thing for everyone involved. -
Guys guys hear me ut on this one, is the battery slot the same on the A14 as the A15? does 9 cell exist for the A14?
-
Yea 9 cell does exist for the A14.
And yea the batteries for both A15 & A14's is the same. -
I might just tget the A14... Screw the B15. I'm just hoping to push atleast 2 years out of this computer, if it wont hold for 2 years, i'll be bankrupt, lol.
There will be a crazy christmas price discount in two days on the Nox A14. I'm definitely ordering one in two days! Happy happy! -
Actually no, I wont buy it. I still need that d@mned dockingstation.
-
hope this laptop's price go down a bit after a couple of months, im still looking for a 14" gaming laptop. its either the a14 or the msi gx400.
-
The price is down alot now, christmas specials. I really need a B14 though, and I can wait a few more months.
-
and this week there will be a MSI GX400 to review, so I can compare them -
If I may ask, where did you get the MSI GX400 ?? I have been looking where to purchase. Thanks for any info. God Bless -
Reviewers get laptops before they are out on the market from the manufacturors
-
Thank you Sprint =)
-
No problem
-
Actually I thought they were out in the market already as I believe there are 2 people on the MSI board that have already purchased one a few months ago from different places. -
They are butt they are still very unavailable
-
Looking at the specs, I think I would have to side with the Zepto right now. Better-looking chassis (in my opinion), better GPU options, better HDD options, better OS options, etc.
But of course I would be willing to compromise if the prices were substantially different that might be an issue but for now I think I would have to side with the A14. -
Hey guys...
http://zepto.com/Shop/Product.aspx?componentid=271
Isnt that what i want if i want to use my laptop in the car? Or is it just for charging without having the laptop on? A bit lost here... thanks -
Thats what you need yes. But you can buy it online somewhere else and get it for like half the price.
-
So any reviews on the GX400 on how it compares to the Nox A14 ??? -
Have anyone seen a full review of the Zepto Nox A14 and how it stands to similar laptops like the Samsung X460, DELL latitude E6400, Lenovo T400, HP EliteBook 6930p, LG P310 etc ... ?
There is so many new laptop coming out in the area of 13-14'' !!! -
When I was doing my pre-purchase information gathering, I realized there were many notebooks similar to the Nexus A15 in terms of specs. What finally made my decision was the 'design' and the brand name (I like the name Zepto).
-
What i like about my Mythos is the simplistic design.
Even Lenovo business laptops have touch-controlled buttons nowdays, i'm glad that Zepto doesn't. -
And a review.. Just read the A15 reviews, they are alsmost the same -
Well clearly it is the only one but I would like to see the benchmarks that shows benefit compare to other configurations. Battery life is an important for me, heat ... This will certainly change from the A15 ...
-
If you want (long) battery life and a high powered GPU, you'll have to look for a notebook with integrated graphics aswell so you can switch between them.

Congrats that's exactly the kind of configuration i'd like to get.
Merry Xmas and thanks in advance for your benchmarks !! -
-
Yes, I did hear it from Zepto. The first week of December I asked when it would be here and this is what they told me:
"Kelly,
We should receive your laptop on Dec 17th, and we are optimistic that this will happen as planned.
Thank you"
I have not received anything stating that this has changed so Im hoping it is still the case! -
Thanks for the reply. Lets hope the shipment doesn't get delayed again, I am hoping to have mine for a trip in January.
-
Looks like some really nice specs. I look forward to hearing your impressions and seeing the benchmarks.
-
Yep... Im working on the email right now actually. Zepto has some units now, but only about 150 or so graphic cards came in. I believe we are getting the ones I need to fill your orders but they have not left Zepto yet. I was going to have them expedited in shipping to still make the time but it's not looking like that will happen as planned. I will most likely upgrade the shipping from me at no charge to get them to all of you as fast as possible but the hope of having them by Christmas is really just a hope at this point.
I want to apologize for giving you this information now and the reason for that is I did not have solid information to give up until a few hours ago. I hate to tell a customer something and then come back twice and change what I said. I should have an email sent out shortly and then another with a more solid delivery date when it gets closer to that time. Again, they ARE on the way and there is hope for Christmas. -
While I can't speak for the folks that purchased one of these notebooks, I can speak on the situation.
I do think it is unfortunate that there are some delays, but I commend Dave and Zepto USA for their efforts. Even when circumstances beyond their control have a negative effect on the circumstances, they try to do what they can to help out their customers.
Just one more small assurance that tells me that Zepto USA will be the right place to go when I am ready to order my notebook. -
No problem Dave. I just thank you for how helpful you have been. I knew when I bought a Zepto I'd be fine no matter what occurred because of the excellent communication you provide! You gave me the best information you had at the time. Sorry for posting it to everyone though! I should have verified again with you first. Anyways, I can wait a little longer. The laptop will definitely be worth the wait!

Little update...
The Units did not leave yesterday as planned. They are leaving Europe today
I was assured I would get all of the 9650 cards yesterday and today it is well... I dont think anyone knows for sure. I should know shortly if things are going to be ok or not.
This isnt so much a Zepto issue with the cards as it was with Nvidia not being able to supply them for some reason or another. I have multiple worse case scenarios that can happen which could mean sending the units out with with 9600 cards and then having the units shipped back to me so I can change them out and send them back if you are need of it asap.
One thing that is also in the air that I found out late yesterday night is that they are not shipping any units with a 9cell battery. If you ordered a unit with a 9cell and I am unable to supply it you will get a 6cell and when the 9cell battery comes in I will send you the 9cell later at no charge and you will keep the 6cell at no charge.
I again apologize for this huge mess, and i take full responsibility for the issues. -
Yo Dave, I checked your site zeptousa and it says that A14's ordered in december support dockingstations. Are the current units being shipped to you by zepto compatible with a dockingstation, or do you have any input about this issue?
-
-
They will not support that feature until some time in January... the new revision has NOT taken place yet. -
So any reviews on the GX400 on how it compares to the Nox A14 ??? -
Little update.. looks like we did indeed get our 9650's! Woot!
-
-
Oh and about the 9 cell battery, totally do not mind getting sent the 6 cell first! =) -
we have the 9 cells in backorder. So everyone who ordered a 9 cell (on zeptousa.com) will get the 6 cell first.
-
So, then whats the expected ETA of the notebooks? I don't mind waiting a little longer but I am curious!
-
I've been in contact with Zepto Denmark and the dockingstation change won't happen until the B15 versions of Nox, Mythos ect. This will not be in January or February, but might first be in late Q1 of 2009 or early Q2 2009.
