Hi I hope someone can help.

I have an Easynote TE11HC that my parents have asked me to put windows 7 on - they had windows 8 and hated it.

So I have put it in AHCI mode, and installed windows. Right at the last moment i get an error message that says:

Windows setup cannot configure windows to run on this hardware.

I've taken the Hard disk out of the TE and stuck it in another working laptop and got the same error, so know its the HD. Its a WD Scorpio Blue 500gb

I believe the issue to be some form of driver I need to load during setup for this disk but have tried all the obvious places and cant get any of them to work.

Anyone got any ideas which driver i need to use?

    Many thanks in advance.

What version of Windows 7 are you using? Packard Bell specific recovery media or generic Windows 7 Home Premium? In regards to BIOS/uefi, just load the defaults, then change UEFI to legacy on the last page. It should already be in AHCI, if it's in Raid, this needs changing to AHCI.
