    I need your help in deciding if this laptop is the right thing for me to buy:
    It's a Packard Bell W7600. Here are the Specifics:
    • CPU -> Mobile Intel Centrino - Intel Pentium M 740 Processor
    • RAM -> 1024 Mb
    • Hard Disk -> 100 Gb
    • Screen -> Display 17" WXGA Glare
    • GPU -> Nvidia GeForce 6600, 256 Mb
    • Tv Tuner -> Integrated
    • Optical Unit -> DVD +/- R/RW Dual Layer
    • Windows Xp Home Edition
    And it's being sold for 1290€ but it comes to 129€/month for 10 months, so I can afford it.
    I want to use it mainly to play games (recent games, like Doom 3, Bf2, GTA: SA, ecc) but for studying and watching movies sometimes too.
    What do you think of it? It's on offer, so should I buy it?
    Thanks in advance for your help

    Yes! absolutely buy this notebook, its got excellent specs and its a really nice looking laptop. The screen is absolutely fantastic with high resolution. A friend of mine is buying the Packard Bell W1801, which is essentially the same computer chassis with different specs (UK version) I have been in store using this computer, it is really fantastic, go ahead and treat yourself.

    And some people thought that Packard Bell had shut up shop for good, and ceased selling in the States, well this is your proof - They havent!

    You see essentially same notebook except the specs and one cosmetic difference. The 7600 has dark coloured alacantra palm rests at either side of the touchpad and the 1801 has brushed aluminium

    Thank you for your answer! I think I'm going to buy it and maybe then write a review.
    Thanks again

    yes that is a wise choice. I am also considering to do a review on the W1801. What store are you buying yours from, do they have a website?

    I am buying it in a store in Italy (that's where I live...), it's called Saturn.
    I think they have a website but it doesn't seem to be working...
