I already said this a few times in the thread. They just changed to wording from "by 5/23" to "after 5/6". Same thing.

 

Not very smart of them to re-phrase it like that. Now people (like you and me) will get there hopes up again to get the laptop earlier than what was stated before, but it will in some cases most likely be even later then the old date.

People will notice the date switch, they will not notice the re-phrase..

Mine charged after I received it lol. I was tempted to cancel my credit card and get my laptop for free but I felt that would have been kinda rude of me.

 

Mine seemed to have been charged the instant the order went through. Not sure what that means, but usually sellers don't charge unless the product IS ready to ship. So I'm hopeful.

What was the number you called? I ordered a 256GB on March 20, it would be awesome to find out if it was getting shipped soon.

 

The term release date means nothing at this point in time. No one cares when the "official" release date is, they just want to know when their system will be shipped.

 

I spoke with CS again, trying to see if they had a better idea of when the blade I ordered would ship (128GB on 4/8), and was told to not expect it until after May 21st. He informed me that they are still having issues with getting the parts necessary for the 128GBs (apparently), and that it would be quite a while before it shipped. Keep in mind, I was told last week that it would ship by 5/6.

Still very disappointed that they aren't communicating the shipping date changes with those of us who preordered. My order status only shows it as "in process", I have no shipping date estimate on the order since it was placed on "back order".

At May 21st, I'm looking at 6-7 weeks for shipping. Which is still, what I believe, to be "par-for-the-course" on Blade shipments, considering those who ordered in March still haven't received theirs. Just really disappointed with the communication, is all.

I wish they would just ship mine now without any hard drive.

 

Yeah there is. It may have been smarter to use that, as refunds would go faster through paypal, methinks.

Meanwhile, my 512 slipped from the first batch to the second and got moved to the 14th... I should just stop thinking about it and checking and just be happily surprised when it gets here

 

Dang I'm so hyped holy wowness!

And if it really ships tomorrow/tonight or whatever it's possible a Saturday delivery can happen! Ahhhh!

In news that would only surprise the truly dim-witted My order does not appear to have shipped (its now 5:15 PM PST). No e-mail or order change or anything, oh well. Guess I can call them tomorrow to hear what new excuse they can come up with, always a surprise!

I ordered the 512 on 3/28

 

If people have a date and it didn't come from a cs rep it'd the 512gb since that is release date of the unit, all other sizes are technically released.

This is all so confusing but as far as I can see:

128 - after May 21st

256 - possibly shipping today. I was told mine would ship today (first week of April)

512 - after May 6th (possibly 5/14)

It seems like they haven't improved their supply chain from last year. I'm very excited to get this laptop, but I'm not in a real rush to get it. Razer knows they can take all the time in the world, with such a niche market item, and no real competition when it comes to build quality and portability.

Very interested to see if by May 21st the 512s ship. Have ANY of them shipped yet, at all?

 

Does anyone have a scheduled ship date for a 512 ordered around April 4th? (Given the new 5/6 release)

Is that before or after they changed the release to the 6th? The reason I ask is I also ordered on the 4th and I travel on the 19th so if it ships on the 16th I probably wouldn't get it in time.

mine does not have the red text anymore and says order in process. So excited!

Yeah, red text is gone and my 512GB order also "in process". I was excited until 37 mins ago I got a nice e-mail that says:

Excitement is now further frustration, as no indication of ETA, just that they will e-mail me again when it actually does ship OR I can just cancel.

 

Just send a email. Goto 'contact us', select RazerStore support, then select 'order status'. I got a response within a couple hours during a work day telling me when my order will ship.. So I don't think they're ignoring us.

 

I am just disappointed in Razer. They try to make it look like something is happening when clearly nothing is.

 

Am I getting the same e-mail as you guys?

I am not reading it wrong right? It shows that 512 is not available for ship and dont know when it will be shipped... my date doesn't show anymore in red...

 

Calm down, that's all supposed to happen. It's just 512 official release is today. Doesn't mean it will ship today. Two batches will be shipped on 9th and 16th

Yeah when our 128's shipped we got that same email. It's a good thing, it means they are getting close

 

Yeah. Same thing happened here. Also, don't expect to receive shipping information until midnight of whatever day/next day it's supposed to be shipped. Their automated alert system is updated every 24hrs.

For what it's worth, my red text changed from 5/23 to 5/8 on my 256GB order. I ordered 4/30. I also have an open order for the 128GB version that still says 5/23(ordered 4/17).

Not very hopeful that it will ship soon. This is probably the worst online purchasing experience that I have had with any company, and I have done a lot of transactions. I definitely will not pre order from them again. Not worth the stress.

Where does it list your scheduled ship date? Mine does not have one.

 

Good lord. You'd think people would be having heart attacks in this thread. Millions of people had to wait for gold versions of the iPhone 5 for weeks after its release, and yet we should condemn Razer for having an item that's in demand. When you're reliant on overseas manufacturing and components, sometimes things get delayed. The only alternative would have been for them to build up stock and release all models at the end of May. However, building stock for niche products is usually a nono (MS got burned with SP1, some SP2 pre-orders didn't ship for months) and those who ordered early have already been able to vet your coming device and provide details. I mean would you have preferred checking Razer's site daily to see if new stock was in, or grab a place in line knowing that you'll get a product when its available? Of course I may be biased. I hate checking websites for stock on a rare item...

Are you being serious? I dont give a damn who waited for the weeks for the gold version of the iphone 5. I care about waiting, now almost 2 months, to get a shipment notice on the notebook that I was promised would ship in 3-4 weeks at the time of order. I did grab a spot in line and I have been waiting. That doesnt mean I am happy about it. Go give your irrelevant opinion somewhere else.

 

First of all it is easy for you to say something like this because you have your Blade already and if you have to wait till the end of May, I don't think you would be happy either. I would have no issue with delaying the Blade IF they would tell you before or give a valid excuse and iat this point I see no valid excuse for delaying the 512gb version. Also when Apple delays things they give you a date which is not extended week in week out. I mean the week by week delay is the worst thing you can do with your customer. You give them hope and then crush them a day before the customer expects their item.

 

i nicely emailed razer about a week ago about more information and they must have gotten some list of everyone. they said "Your scheduled ship date is May 14th."

 

Just ignore that guy, he has a right to state that delays without communication don't bother him but he is a troll and a fool if he thinks it means any of us would feel reason to agree with him
