So got off the phone with a Razer CS person (in the US):
I ordered the 256gb on 3/21. He said a ton shipped yesterday and their system still said mine should have gone out yesterday. It may be due to the large amount they shipped that they haven't gone in and marked all the ones that shipped yet (I called right when their CS department opened at 9 am PST). He told me to wait for an email tonight since their system is on a 24 hr update cycle.
We'll see.....
-
Did you order from Amazon?
-
Nope from the razer store.
-
I ordered the 512GB on 4/14 with 5/9 as release date. Later, it was delayed to 5/23. Then, on 5/6, status page indicated the order was being processed. After getting my hopes up, they were crushed by a sneaky email that followed. However, now I'm starting to think that they're about to send out a big batch on 5/9, fingers crossed.
In terms of order shipping priority, it could easily be influenced by payment method, shipping method, or destination. If this is the case, then those who pre-ordered it early got it the worst. -
I am still waiting on a shipping confirmation.... I ordered yesterday as well and got my confirmation last night.

For those of you cancelling orders (with Razer), how quickly did the money reappear on your account?
-
I haven't been charged by Razer. You shouldn't till it ships.
-
That's what I was told, and technically I still have it all in 'available balance', but because it's a 'pending' transaction, I can't use it. Maybe just because I have deactivated overdrafting on my account.
Ugh Razer, Y U DO DIS. -
So I rang Razer CS again and they told me that it will be shipped before 9th May. I don't know what to believe now. This is for the 512gb version.
-
What time did you order yours? I got confirmation but still no shipping email. I'm hoping they ship tonight or I'll have to change the address it's going to.
-
What your describing here is an authorized transaction against your account credit limit. They either need to post or expire. If the transaction doesn't post, it should disappear and your credit limit restored within 7-10 days. My original authorized transaction dropped off my credit card account way back in March. I assume it will be reauthorized again as Razer prepares to ship my Blade. I've been checking for it every day as it's a good indication they are getting ready to ship (assuming they don't do this after it ships like others have indicated earlier in this forum.)
-
Razer posted it on their Twitter feed
<blockquote class='twitter-tweet' lang="en">We're launching the new Blade at the Microsoft Store in Union Square SF this Friday May 9 http://t.co/5CauI2brgp pic.twitter.com/DZTOachOD1

I was told May 9th too for My 512gb. Here's hoping!
-
Was it a debit card?
-
Nm, just got my shipping confirmation. Should have it tomorrow. Contemplating whether or not to cancel my orders now in case MS accidentally sends me a 2013 or Pro model. I'm sure the odds of that are really low.
-
I ordered at like 5:30PM EST. Confirmed by phone maybe 2 hours later, had my confirmation email this morning. It should ship today.
Microsoft store only sells things that are in-stock and ready to go. They don't do backorder or any of that, so when we purchased from there they actually had the units, no waiting list, etc. It wasn't even listed in the store and they sold out in like 6 hours. Probably only had maybe 50 units.eric335 likes this. -
Ahhhh that makes sense. The way they had explained it was less clear. Thanks!

I mean, all shipping and waiting patiently aside, the fact that ordering directly from Razer has been a damn roller coaster of misinformation for most of us is ridiculous. Backed with the knowledge that just ordering from the Microsoft store yesterday will get a bunch of people their units by the weekend is outrageous. I mean I'm happy for everybody that went that route and was successful, but I'm just resentful towards Razer and their cs over all of this mess. They sent me a customer satisfaction survey last night too haha, wonder what I'll put on it...
-
If any of you that have ordered shortly before or shortly after me don't care, let me know if your order status changes. I ordered the 256gb on 3/18 and have been sitting at "order in process" since 4/23. To be honest I am getting slightly irritated with Razer.... =(
-
I mean there's a reason for all that: Microsoft has leverage; Razer does not.
My Blade should be in by tomorrow from Microsoft based on the shipping confirmation. I will say that Microsoft's customer service not only reads from a script, but tries to insert idiomatic expressions. The result is that they do not actually respond directly to anything I say and try to be jovial and colloquial about it. It's rather comical. -
I almost never order straight from the manufacturer. Typically manufacturers botch launches when it's not their cup of tea. Remember watching Google try it over and over with their Nexus devices? This is why many companies(MSI, Asus, Acer, etc.) rely on selling their goods through resellers. They just aren't equipped to deal with large influxes of demand and lack proper support for it. Heck, when you call Razer, you're talking to tech support, not order support. Sometimes outsourcing makes more sense.
Edit: Another thing to consider is Razer probably had some sort of agreement with MS to supply some units ahead of their own backorder log. Could have something to do with licensing the software at a better price in return for X units. Who knows? I do know that MS likes having every possible touchscreen laptop on their store to support Windows 8 takeover. -
I'm very curious to see who's received their Blade and when/what they ordered. It seems like they've yet to reach the second week's orders yet. Which doesn't bode very well for anyone ordering further out from mid-March.
I understand that it's not customer service's fault, specifically. However, with such an expensive product, they should really consider getting better information for it. Every week, they guarantee you 100% that it's shipping, even when you call the day of/day before. I can only assume they're looking at the same "will ship after the release date of X" message that we can all see if we go to place a new one in a cart. I don't think they have a magical chart of when what orders ship when, or even a clue more than what we have.
I'm starting to wonder if I will even receive mine before I go back out traveling again in early June. -

I am with you, I have been waiting nearly 2 months for my 512GB from Razer, they have told me a date and changed it like 6 times. I am perfectly happy to bail on them.
Razer is having a launch event at the Microsoft store on Friday. They likely had to provide some units ahead of that event and the product page went live early. They decided to fulfill the orders that got through and a few of us got lucky. -
As you clearly are one of the first to order...are they compensating you in any way? Getting overnight shipping for free, giving you more than just a voucher for the mouse? Its kind of crazy that they are delaying it more than a month past their expected release date of the 4th.
-
Got a shipping confirmation from MS earlier today as well. Should be here soon! I apologize to everyone who went the pre-order route and are now waiting longer than some random person who ordered yesterday. I was in that pre-order line for only a week before I jumped ship and got lucky with MS. Your early support of their product has backfired and I see this harming Razer in the future... it's bad business to offend your most staunch supporters.
However, I will give Razer a nod in one department: their customer service when contacting their Blade/gaming system hotline (US: 855-872-5233). MS's customer service is a comical circus of pre-written speeches, grammatically incorrect replies, and frustrating jockeying between advisors. The guy I called at Razer with the above number was extremely helpful, nice, and even admitted that switching to MS's store for the education discount was a much better idea. Truthfully redeemed my trust in Razer CS.mturkel99 likes this. -
With every shipping confirmation I see from people that ordered from MS, my contempt for Razer increases haha.eric335 likes this.

Finally got my razer 256gb today from razer ordered March 22

Hmmm, see I ordered the same thing on March 20. You're like the 10th confirmed person to receive their computer ahead of people that ordered before you, good for you:thumbsup:. I live in San Francisco, which is pretty close to their shipping center, so I have no clue anymore as to discovering any method to Razer's madness. Well, only that they must be using a dartboard to determine shipping order.
-
The whole process has been pretty irritating.
Its a niche market so you figure these companies race to get buzz for their to get an advantage. Few are going to buy both a ghost pro and a Razer.
If Razer had just said late may or June from the start many would simply go after alternatives.
So they string u along hoping you stick with it long enough for them to resolve their issues.

Ya, it's all a learning experience in the end I guess. I had last years blade 14" model, which I thought was great minus the horrible screen, so I returned it and have really been waiting for this one. I need a powerful machine for work travel, doing lots of gpu/cpu rendering for 3d models. Next time I'll know what to expect from Razer, or anybody with a similar product.
-
Yes. It was.
-
I've ordered enough niche devices/peripherals over the years that I expect these types of delays.
-
Hey Everyone! So I've been as anxious as you guys to get the Razer Blade. I've been looking through these forums and checking everyday on razerzone to see when it gets shipped. I don't think many people know, but the Razer Blade laptop is available at the Micrsoftstore. The one near my location only has 3 in stock 256gb which is the want I want! I'm super excited and getting it tomorrow. I literally made this account because I thought it would be nice to share it. For those who have waited so long good luck and hope you get it soon!

I called again yesterday and they said my blade will ship on the 16th. Ordered 4/05.
-
Just the mouse, and since I got one shipped from Microsoft I have actually canceled my Razer order. I got like $200 off in credit card rewards plus saved $200 on the warranty from Microsoft, it was much better than anything Razer was offering for my 2 month wait.
-
I got an email from Razer asking me to fill out a "Razer Customer Satisfaction Survey" w.r.t. customer support. So I did, and it felt great to vent a bit with it. Will it make a difference? Probably not. But I feel better. Oh...wait...never mind, now I'm back to being pissed at the ship slips and no good info from CS.
-
Yup. The 10% student discount from Microsoft has more than satisfied me. If I had stuck with Razer like I originally planned to, I would've problem seen it shipped to me at the end of May (I pre-ordered 3/28). But since I canceled the order and switched to Microsoft, I'll be seeing my laptop tomorrow.
-
They told me on or before the 9th... Let's see if my dream comes true
-
I was told ON or BEFORE 5/16... When and what model did u order? Mine is 512GB on 4/16
-
damn i ordered 5/3 and i have no idea when its shipping. On the razer order page it says after 5/8
-
March 12th 512gb
-
I ordered 512GB on 4/16, at first the red text said AFTER 5/9, then it was delayed AFTER 5/23. Later it changed to "AFTER 5/6". on 5/6, red text disappeared and the order status turned from "Order Submitted" to "In process"... 2 days ago I emailed CS and got a reply: "...The Blade will ship ON or BEFORE May 16. Have a great day..."
OMG they just keep attacking my heart...
It will be great if someone could call an emergency medical service for me when razer changes their shipping plan again...i guess at that time my heart will stop... -

Tracking number confirms delivery tomorrow!!
For those who cancelled their orders from Razer, who do you e-mail. -
You can either call tech support, and they can do it for you on the spot, or you can put in a request through Razer's online customer support forms, which will take a day or more for them to get back to you and process your cancellation request.
-
What is the phone number?
-
See one or two pages back

i am excited.
