2014 Razer Blade 14 Ship Date thread

Ahhhh well, I live in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania. And being an international student, I don't have a car nor a US drivers license.
Care to give me a lift?

 

What store would stock razer?

 

Got my unit from MS today. Very happy with the laptop so far! I'm impressed! Definitely worth waiting for in my opinion.

 

did you order it online or went to the store. If you went to the store, how do you check if they have it available?

 

I was one of the lucky ones to order it online.

 

why is razer so slow

I have been following this thread in the shadows for a long time.
I called the MS Store locally and that is directed to a national support center.
First call, said that the store did not have any today, but that tomorrow, there would be a Razer Blade kick off event from 6 until midnight (store listed closing time of 9 pm).
I looked at the store's calendar and saw no such event listed.
I called back, different person in the MS support center...after a couple minutes on hold, he came back and said that there is no event that he can see; the website is out of stock (we know); the stores don't usually carry a high-end, low volume unit such as this (at least not initially). Those were not his exact words, but summarize the content.
So, while I was initially rearranging my Friday to be at some non-existent event, I will now, crawl back into the shadows and lurk on this forum. I would definitely call a store before heading to one.
I have been planning to order from Amazon since I have about $250 in credit, and am not in a hurry, but I am waiting for a couple more reviews, I guess.

Edit: Amazon today says "out of stock" for the 512 gb; yesterday was "shipping in 1-2 months"

 

I just picked one up at my local MS Store. Got it as it came off the truck. For shame, Razer.

So, I called the local (Kansas City) MS store and end up talking to the support center that informs me of the Gala taking place in SF, CA as if it was local :thumbsup:

 

Holy crap, that's right here in SF. Mine ships on Monday (and I say that with a roll of my eyes), should I goto this thing or wait?

 

It might be fun to go even if you wait it out on Monday!

Mine ships next week or possibly the week after that. If I could check if there are any blades at my local MS store then I could just cancel and go to the MS store

 

Well it looks like I will be buying another laptop only 8 months after my last one sigh....at least i can sell that one. I am going to wait until this comes in stock at some place, there is an MS store kind of close to me but I wish you could check their inventory online.

 

I just talked to Steve at MicrosoftStore online (online chat so take it with a grain of salt). He said hat the Razer is being released tomorrow. Hopefully we can get out of this preorder limbo.

I am sorry but that is not a product at our online store. From reading online, it is not going to be released until tomorrow from Razer. There is no information when/if we will get it.

 

Mine just showed up! The 256gb. I haven't had very much time to use it (still at work), but man, the build quality and screen are ridiculous. Can't wait to start installing games on it.

 

Just heads up! People in western NY the buffalo MS store has 256 blades!

 

Also, do you think it would be worth it to cancel my 512 order if I can drive less than hour away and buy a 256??

 

A few things: if you are willing to trade out the hard disk, I think the 256 from Microsoft is a no-brainer (assuming you want your laptop ASAP; otherwise, just order a 128GB).

That said, I think getting from the online Microsoft Store is better than the physical Microsoft Store because you can go through various reward portals and get anywhere from 10% cash back (on top of the education discount) to 4x miles per dollar.

 

I got a shipping confirmation from Razer last night, should arrive tomorrow. I bought a 256 GB on March 20 from Razer directly. I would definitely advise going the MS route though as it seems like an overall better deal/safer method. I'd be skeptical about the upcoming batches of shipments from Razer if I was still waiting, but good luck everyone!

 

Looks like Amazon decided to retract their shipping time frames. *Wishes work would have purchased from MS store, Razer or the guy that received two and can't cancel the second one.* By the way the good news Amazon dropped the price by $90! ?!?

Just got back from Microsoft Store with my new 256GB Razer. They have them in stock in San Diego CA. Already called Razer and cancelled my order with them. also got 10% student discount $240 and $100 Microsoft Promotional Graduation offer. Plus no shipping charge that's $400 in saving's.

 

That's something I have not seen yet; niche gaming laptop at a (fancy, big city) brick and mortar. Very cool!!! Gratz!!!!!!!

 

The people at live chat are idiots, to be honest. I talked to one and they didn't understand that I was talking about this year's model. He was saying how it was on clearance yesterday, when it hadn't been in stock anymore. Let alone it being a new product that couldn't have been on clearance.

 

Any of you gonna sale your razer blade 2014 on amazon, I'll gladly buy from you

IMPORTANT UPDATE
I called MS three times today to check availability at the local store.
First call: none and told me about the gala event tomorrow as if I was in SF and not KC
Second call: none online or in store, but he will let me know
Third call as leaving work hours after first: they are at the store (256) and she has them online. I tell her that I don't see them and she sends me link. After 10 minutes, she realizes that she cannot order it.
So, off I go to the MS store.
I get there and they say they do not have any. I said that I was told they did.
They go back and check. They just came in...no one there except the inventory dude knew.
They are having a $100 promotion for OEM computers and there is a 10% discount for students and faculty.
So, total price before tax for the 256 was $2069.99 + tax (2399.99-239.99-100).
I told them that I really want a 512 and they offered to exchange it if they can get one within 30 days, give or take...
I feel for the people that pre-ordered and are waiting...
But, thought you all might want to know.

 

Damn, wish I knew about the $100 OEM discount... I already used my student discount though, so I probably shouldnt complain haha. Mine should be here tomorrow from MS! Very excited!

i feel the same way. I feel betrayed almost that they have people who ordered directly from them the week of announcement who do not have theirs yet while people can just go out to their local MS store today and pick one up...... Pissed.

I just got mine from the local Microsoft store, less 10% Student discount and an additional $100 Graduation discount. 256GB

 

And the group just grows and grows -_-

 

Maybe they had a contract to send microsoft such a large amount by a certain date that everyone else got pushed back. The GM at the microsoft store said that they pushed hard to get microsoft to carry the new Razer blade at the stores.

 

Min says they're filling the orders on a first come, first serve basis. He also says the 512GB model is their number one seller.

 

I got mine from MS and I just want to say - if you're waiting - keep waiting - it's worth it!!! It is a great system.

Have to say, after getting my Blade home and getting Diablo 3 set up, along with watching some 4kHD movies ... Totally worth it. Fantastic build quality, great screen (despite the scaling problems), the trackpad could be better (but couldnt they all?), and the battery life while gaming is pretty low. Overall, definitely worth a few more weeks wait, for those still waiting.

I almost feel bad that I got mine from the MS Store, before everyone who pre-ordered received theirs. The way Razer has handled this has been really cruddy.

 

MS store too far away from my house. I'll just have to wait till next week for it to ship and it ships 5/16 which is on a friday so i might even get it the week after next week. Sad life

 

I tried calling them. Nothing they could do.
