There's an MS store in Times Square but I already have a 512 pre order so I didn't check to see what they have. I pass by there every day I could see if they have any.

My bad, it's in Columbus Circle, still walkable.

I could swear there was one in TSq when the surface released, perhaps it was temporary, I don't really pay attention to look for it when I walk that way
I could swear I remember it. They were only letting a really small number of people in the store at a time so it looked like there was a huge line. Maybe I'm crazy.

Edit: Ok apparently I'm not crazy. Well not wrong, crazy I still could be.

I did that, I called some close to me, they put me on hold and said they didn't have any. I'll call some of the bigger ones tomorrow, but they are having the release tomorrow in SF so that should be fun to go to :) and hopefully I can get a Blade!!! Thanks for the advice!

Are you talking about this email?
Due to overwhelming demand, the shipment of your order that was placed on 4/23/2014 has been rescheduled to 5/16/2014.
For avoidance of doubt, if you have chosen to pay by credit card, it will only be charged upon shipment. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Same situation here. I paid with PayPal on 3-12 and was charged immediately. If I get another email from Razer on Monday saying that my shipping date has been pushed back even farther, I am going to be pretty pissed off.

Has anyone that has found these at a Microsoft store actually found them at a Microsoft Store Kiosk inside of a mall? Or has everyone found them at an actual B&M Microsoft Storefront? Thanks much.

I imagine, with some people cancelling their orders from Razer and finding them at the MS Store, some of the later pre orders will be shipped sooner!

As I stated in an earlier post, it took 3 calls to same store (which is routed to a national service center anyway), before I got confirmation that they had them. This may be due to the fact that they arrived in between by compulsive calls. the sales associates were not even aware that they were there, and several came over to check out the unopened box.

To answer your question, the MS store that I went to was in a mall in KC. Also, some one mentioned the Westfield Mall in Century City, CA (blocks from where I grew up).

Edit: in re-reading your quote, this was not a kiosk, but a storefront.

If they arrived yesterday, stores should know by now if they have them.

Also, importantly, this store was willing to allow me to trade the 256 in when they get a 512 (and pay the difference, of course).

The problem is mostly that they can't give exact shipping dates. If that wasn't the case, it wouldn't be so much of an issue.

So I spoke to someone from an MS store. And he said that technically the laptop isn't even on the market yet, so it's somewhat confusing as to how people are getting them (it sort of explains why the razer blade on the MS store was not found unless you had that link), and he even asked me what I knew about the whole shishkebab is with Razer's shipping issues.
    Short story even shorter:
    Nobody knows nothing.

Well, I ordered the 256GB model yesterday during the brief window that the Razer site said "limited quantities are in stock" but I got the standard backorder email with no estimated ship date late last night. Now my debit card funds are tied up for who knows how long and my hands are tied. I know that if you cancel an order and the merchant calls the bank, sometimes they can get those temporary authorizations removed right away. Has anyone who paid with a debit card tried this with Razer?

For those of you buying from MS stores and getting all these discounts, are you all students? Or are you just saying you are? Do they take a copy of your student ID or something?

I tried calling them, AND my bank. Neither really seemed to want to help me beyond just typical process.
Also the student discount just requires an .edu email.

So Razer was unwilling to call your bank to have the temporary authorization removed?

At the physical MS stores you just give them a .edu email address? I assumed that would work for the online site but not the stores themselves.

for me when I went into the MS store the employee just asked me if I was a student and I said I just graduated so she gave me 10% off and 100$ off for just graduating which I did but she never checked my ID or my email she just applied it to the order

If you didn't have the intention of following through with the purchase why use a debit card instead of credit card? That's how authorizations work. If you intend to wait for the laptop it shouldn't matter that funds are tied up since you are actually buying it and that's what happens when you charge an item with a debit card.

If you're just impatient, you gambled and were found wanting.

At the time of purchase, the website listed the 256GB model as in stock. Yes, I figured that might be too good to be true, but the in stock notice was worded such that it didn't sound like a mistake. If it was indeed in stock and available for immediate shipment, I fully intended to follow through with the transaction. I used a debit card because that was my only source of funding available. Unfortunately, I don't have gobs of available credit lying around.

As for impatience, you're darn right I'm impatient. :D Who isn't? I've had one pre-ordered for over a month now from Amazon, but who knows when they'll ever come in stock there. If I was able to find one today at a local MS store, I would like the ability to take advantage of that.

Just got back from the MS in NY and purchased a 256GB Blade. The sales associate knew they had them in stock when i asked her, but she had to get approval to sell it to me because they claim it is not available to be purchased until Sunday. They threw in the discounts as well. I've already cancelled my order with razer.

Just called the MS store to check stock in Denver and the guy said they aren't selling the Razer Blade in stores. I told him there were people all over this forum picking them up all over the country. He double-checked and came back and said they aren't selling them in any stores. I guess you all must be lying!

Can anyone please confirm the availability of Razer Blade in Microsoft Store located in DC/VA? I called both stores different times. They said it isn't available. One of them said there was, but them he put me on hold and said it isn't available. MS are playing mind tricks or what?
