New Razer Blade & Razer Blade Pro

Once you have it can you do a load and idle temperature test on the GPU/CPU? I want to compare it to the alienware and see what's up

 

I placed my order within 10 minutes of them going up and mine just says order processing. Is that normal?

 

Yes its normal. Mine is still in procrssjbg. But mine is set to ship tomorrow, dunno if all PR orders will be shipped that soon or if they don't have enough in inventory for that. I placed mine at 301am ct time so I think I deserve to be a first wave recipient.

 

I'm currently undecided between the Razer Blade 14, Asus UX51vz, and Gigabyte P35K, how would you say they compare to each other?

 

UX51 throttles like a camel on speed racer, and the p35k rests in the same spot of the razer blade, we dont have any real info

 

so are they shipping tomorrow?

 

some are yes. but not all pre-orders.

 

at least we may get some reviews, and please someone post an unboxing of this, if possible a video review

 

People who have seen the Razer Blade: how bad is the display actually? I know the reviews seem unanimous in condemning it as third rate, but what are your opinions?

 

When I ordered the Blade Pro, it said a 1-2 week timeframe before it ships. I have the 'Order in Process' status now too. I just got an email that there's a backorder on it for 1-2 weeks, but this is the 1-2 weeks that the site said so before I ordered it right? Not 1-2 weeks on top of the original 1-2 weeks?

The vague timeframes are just confusing.

 

I think it was on Hexus.net there was a video of the razer Ceo saying they are "working on it" which means not any time soon.
They're more than happy as they are.
plus they'll probably convert the $1799 to £1799

 

Well I am officially pissed at Razer for this delay. Got up at 3am for nothing....

 

I'm not sure if it's exactly a delay rather than just an apology because of the slow stocks. Unless I'm mistaken, Min was just saying how the demand has caused so much backorder to the Blades, not necessarily an added ones to the people who already ordered? I'm not sure, I could be wrong.

I hope it's no added delay though. I ordered it when it was at 1-2 weeks, so hopefully that's still the case.

 

My Blade 14 on the FedEx truck on the way to my house. Thrilled bc if it didn't ship till next Wed and I would have had to drive 300 miles as I am moving next week.

 

When did you pre-order? And how do you know where exactly it is? The order status page?

 

My order status page doesnt say **** .. It only says Order Status: Order Submitted

 

Mine said that too just as I ordered. I think the next stage is Order in Process. Same as mine now. You should get an email as well.

I ordered on the morning of the 13th. Before all this announcements on the delay jazz. But I still don't know if my order's really been delayed or not.

I actually ordered it on the 12th, but my order page says it was submitted on the 13th. Blade Pro 256GB.

Hmm, weird. Standard shipping too for me. Maybe it's where you're having it shipped to?

I think the 512 would be the reason, since the 256 is the standard so the 512 would probably require a bit more time to customize.

 

I preordered the 512GB on 6/3, and my status still says "Order Submitted".

I hope you guys do personal reviews, I want to know your opinion on the 1600x900 resolution in terms of quality and idle/load gpu/cpu temps

 

This makes me wonder if maybe it's the payment method? I know that I've had experience before that my order took awhile cause of payment issues. Maybe that's what's causing this discrepancy.

 

I know that I was charged on 6/3. I think it's bad form to charge without having shipped, but I'm willing to let it slide if Razer can get this out the door early.

i dont know why you people ordered something thats not has been release it, especially a laptop. anything could go wrong, heating, screen, etc. this is why i wait until i know whats good/bad before i pulling the trigger, you people are just guinea pig but thank you

That is what the return policy is for. I believe if you order from Razer's store you have a 15 day return policy with no restocking fee so if one of those problems existed you could return it.

 

You're correct - it's a temporary authorization. Makes sense!

 

Took a few photos but having flickr issues apparently.... Blade 14 is very sturdy, first takeaways when powering it up was it thin, much thinner than my Edge Pro even, but not as light as my MBA13. Love the speaker side placement. Am not fond of the LCD display but its not wretched or anything. I have not had time to install any games just yet. It really does scream class. I will bring it to best buy tonight and put it next to some other laptops for comparisons. Its whisper quiet so far

Mind if I ask when you pre ordered? Might give some indication as to how many days or how far behind I am in the product queue.

Gratz to the folks who got theirs early. For the ones that got their Razer what size SSD do you have?

Though I wished my ordered arrived early, I will be stoked if it just comes in this month.
