Anyone Help, how i can change key 4/$ to 4/£ i have tried all the usual tricks like rght Alt 0163 or 156 there doesnt seem to be a £ symbol, when i,m trying to change key in synapse i,m only offered to replace one key with another on the keyboard, is it possible to pick from the character map under synapse?
i dont want use uk layout as it changes loads of keys... i,m using usa international -
In this case, you want to keep the key mapped to '4' but have the shift-4 combination mapped to the sterling sign.
This is very easily done with free third party utilities like AutoHotkey -
-
Help, I am still having problems with my tactile keys. I have fully uninstalled synapse and re installed 3 times and they still don't work at all. Could this be a problem with the unit it self?

The new Synapse monitoring app is so cool, everyone from work is looking at it. Only missing one thing, I hope it can be updated to include temperature measurements next time

Try using this to change USA international SHIFT+4 combination to be pound? -

Hi guys! Just purchased a blade recently and I have to say, it's an amazing laptop! However just yesterday, I encountered a small problem. Yesterday, I installed the latest nvidia graphics driver. 320.18. Everything went crazy from there. Firstly, the driver fails to install. After that, for no reason whatsoever, my razer comms and switchblade starts to have problems. So, I reinstalled the graphics driver using the one provided by razer, and then proceeded to install nvidia driver 314.22. ( Based on comments on the nvidia website, driver 320.18 WHQL seems to have problems and people suggested to install 314.22 because it is stable. ) I also uninstalled razer comms. Right, so now everything is fine except one small little thing. Now, whenever I start up my blade, this appears
However, the weird thing is that my switchblade still works fine. All the apps are working, even my macros are working! Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it? Or if not, any suggestions on how I could deal with this problem? ( I also noticed that my switchblade screen does not start up until after this error message appears. In the past, it would start up just after I turned on the computer. ) -
-
-
All right. Now, I have solved the problem but seems to have incurred another problem. After reinstalling synapse 2.0, my switchblade screen remains black even after the dynamic adaptive tactile keys are lit up. I have to restart my computer in order for the screen to turn on. But as soon as I shut down the computer and turn it on again, it remains black. ( Meaning it will only turn on only when I turn on the computer and then restart it. )

Off-topic: What are you guys playing now? Just recently dumped by old PS2 games onto my HDD, playing old classics like FF-XII and Rogue Galaxy on PCSX2
Emulation works good on the Blade (Dolphin runs quite well too), of course not as well as desktop rigs and AW/Clevo laptop 'tanks', but we already know that
Showing off my lightweight powerhouse playin' PS2 classics and making my co-workers jealous.

Yet another problem with my tactile keys. One of the keys (bottom row, second from the left) got caught on some stuff I slid onto my laptop and lifted the key. I didn't think much of it until I pressed the key and it broke off. So my question is, would this be counted as tampering and would this void the warranty. (I have the extended warranty if that means anything).

Thinner than a dime hints are out. I'm expecting another blade announcement. If it is any of you guys/lurkers want a slightly used R2?

Nvidia posted the same video on their facebook page. I'm sure it's going to be a new blade.

Feel a little sad because I just got my blade :/. Oh well, my fault for being impatient

I believe it should be the razer blade r3. Cant believe they managed to bring the thinness of the already thin blade thinner. ( Less than 0.71 inches thick! ) Overall, I think that the specs of the R3 would probably be around 20%-40% better than the R2. My guess is that it would be equipped with an i7 quad core clocked at around 2.4 GHz and probably the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M. I think it would be nice if they also included a 128GB msata SSD and improve the battery life to around 5 hours of normal use. On a side note, I would love to see the switchblade ui run its own separate chip like a Snapdragon arm processor. ^^
-
0.71 inches sounds so thin to me for a 17 inch laptop though... Maybe they are releasing a smaller blade?

suspect will be a haswell nvidia powered razer ultrabook of some sort. there really aren't many ultrabooks with dedicated graphics out there (macbook pro retina with the mere 1gb ram 650m) is about it. yes, i think a 13,14,15" smaller blade is what's being cooked up. my razer pal wouldn't spill the beans and said wait till the 30th. as long as its not an edge replacement already. would be happy to add another razer laptop to my stable, especially if the price point can stay around $1500. while i love the edge and the blade r2, a second smaller blade that has a battery that can go all day would be perfect.
-
A blade R3 still makes more sense to me. At least the amount of months passed since R2 is more less the same than that of the R1 -- R2 period. -
So you can get a 15" with no SBUI, or enjoy the extra screen real estate and get a 17" with an SBUI
I know I always say (and they do too) that they don't care what the market trend is BUUUUUUUT, market trend is you have a 17" line up and then a secon 14-15" line up as well that's a little less powerful (or in this case less gimicky with no SBUI) -
We will have to wait and see what is thinner than a dime! -
I'd be happy either way.
Will be a bummer if its just a new keyboard or something lol

Very interesting... I was reading Haswell gfx would be comparable to a GT650, i cannot see them getting a dedicated card in anything thinner than the current form, so an haswell ultra book looks favourite to me. it says Less than .71 the full line marker on the right of the pic shows something more like .6?...
boy that is thin
-
I wonder if it could be OC'd to match it to a GTX 650 or 660, with that small chasis they could dedicated 2 heat pipes/exhausts to just the CPU, allowing for a higher clock.
Match R2 performance in a 15" (or 17") platform and I'm game. -
Deleted....

They announce something new and i have my first issue albeit minor, has anyone had trouble with the media player app, mine is opening fine but looks for media library for a couple of seconds and then closes, any ideas? tried reinstall etc same probs none of the buttons seem to work so i cannort go to settings etc...
-
Latest update has been super super buggy for me. wallpaper doesn't always stay, tactile keys constantly screw up and either don't load my image or just never update.
Like I'll hit my trackpad app and it not load all my buttons so I hit the home key, then it loads them but they're on the home screen, I hit a button and it will launch the apply AND the homescreen thing. Ex: neverwinter is the same key the calculator is on, so I hit the neverwinter button and it launches neverwinter and the calculator, and then it gets stuck on the calc apply and I can't use my trackpad then!
Reinstall does nothing. Only thing that seems to work and its not 100% is I just let the switchblade sit there for a minute or two after start up...and even then it still doesn't work all the time.
Anyone else having this problem?

Either their PR person is dumb and put the wrong measurements on the website, or that's just the icing on the thinner than a dime cake. Ming still hasn't mad an official annoncement yet on the FB page, would they really add it to the store and start sells before they officially announce? Seems odd to me.
Edit: Glad to see more offers on the Pro though, 512 SSD drive or 256 or 128. That's nice! Even more storage with mSATA if that'll still be offered...
Wonder what the performance difference will be from R2 to R3!
Sidenote: Anyone interested in buying my R2?It's like new, babied since day 1, and never opened to upgrade internals so no warranty issues!

I think the 14 inch is the one that's supposed to be thinner than a dime.
-
Woohoo, I told you all a new revision was coming out soon. Everyone was thinking I was crazy for saying it too. Now its hard between the MSI GE60, the new 14" model and the 14" Razer.
