It's not accurate, mine gets 29.5 fps in Full HD and 40fps in 900p on stock. In this review, they got 29.1 fps with GTX 765M and 26.4 fps with GTX 760M. Maybe Noteboockcheck used older drivers in their testing. I'll look forward to your test and enjoy your beasty!
-
Its probably because they ran the bioshock infinite benchmark which like most other built in benchmarks is more challenging than the game itself to provide a worse case scenario performance quote, the worst instance of this was metro last light where many gpu`s couldn`t break the 20fps limit.

Would love to help you out there, but unfortunately I dunno if I'll ever get my computer....
It was delivered and signed by someone I don't know and it's nowhere to be found.
I fear that it was stolen literally at my doorstep. -

OOPS, wrong thread

Just place an order for the blade.. now.. let the waiting game begin... ;-)
-
hi guys, what's new from razer blade next year?
anyone know the rumors? -
-
While playing DayZ on my 660m 17inch blade I get like 15fps. Has anyone else tried the DayZ standalone?
-
That said, do you have arma 3 to compare? Same engine. -

Hey guys... just got my Blade 14!!
I got the high pitch buzz from the speaker... was annoying like hell.. after having played diablo 3 for a couple minutes.. everything stopped... Now, that laptop is COOL and the screen is not bad except that to see everything correctly, I have to center my eyes on the top of the screen, I have to center my eyes on the cam in fact...
When I do, everything is pretty nice. I will have to adjust myself.. mostly in games.. will try it more when my son is asleep !

If you look through forums most laptops with the Intel 6235 have issues. -
So update on my missing / stolen laptop:
Looks like they'll be sending me a replacement. Though interestingly they told me I would either get a refund or a replacement, yet never actually asked for my preference. Didn't even call me to double check my shipping address, which was annoying since I have another address I wanted to have it shipped to. They told me to give them a call during working hours, which is inconvenient as I'm in Hong Kong at the moment.
Ah well. I hope the guy who stole my laptop gets his just deserts, because I've been out of a laptop for over a month now and I would've had one to use for a fortnight now had it not been "lost".
Still can't believe it was stolen at my doorstep.

Good luck bro, I hope it works out.

Hey, so after updating my 2012 Razer Blade to Windows 8.1, if I let Windows install all the updates the latest Intel HD Graphics drivers breaks my brightness. IE I cannot change the brightness regardless of power setting or manually changing it. Has anyone else noticed this issue or know of a fix.
Thanks, -
Hi guys, I've a wonderful razer blade 14'. and everything seems to go on right way from 4 month ago until yesterday.... When i"ve plugged an HDMI in to the blade, to use it with the tv, i can only see the image, no sound at all from the tv. Only with the pc speakers. When I go to the control panel, and then in audio, I can see that "digital audio HDMI is not plugged in" and so , I can't set it to default audio exit, someone can help me??

Will be getting my blade in 2-4 months, so excited can't wait ^_^
-
o.o Might want to wait for the next gen by then. The next generation of Nvidia graphics (Maxwell) should be out by June perhaps? Intel should be releasing Broadwell sometime in 2014, but don't know when for that.
-
Plus, it takes a while for new cards to be adopted by manufacturers, so expecting a second gen Blade 14 within 4 months isn't realistic in my opinion.

I just signed up so I could rant about how crap Razer's products have been for me. Let me start off by saying thanks to this forum and it's members as this is the only thread I've been able to find any information on the Razer Edge.
So I've been looking at the razer edge pro for a while now and when amazon dropped the price to sub 1000 dollars I jumped. I purchased the 256gb Edge Pro and ordered with next day shipping. When I got the tablet I had so many issues... random freezes, wifi constantly crashing and locking up the card (had to enable/disable or reboot to get back online) and same with bluetooth. I installed windows 8.1 and the bluetooth no longer crashed but wifi still had issues and the tablet would lock up randomly. I chalked it up to bad hardware, amazon sent me a new Edge pro and it worked flawlessly. I was so happy with the tablet at this point that I ordered the gamepad and dock that were previously unavailable. Now let me just say that I love Razers mice. I have a 2012 death adder, 2013 death adder, naga hex molten and a razer orochi bluetooth mouse. I also own the razer hammerhead pro headphones and love those as well. I'm not new to razer products and really have had great experiences so far.
The amount of trouble I've had lately is just retarded. On my replacement Razer Edge Pro, while upgrading to windows 8.1, the tablet locked up, rebooted and then became a brick. The stupid thing killed itself. Keep in mind I had successfully installed 8.1 on my other tablet with defective hardware. After booting into bios, disabling the main drive and booting into efi shell console mode I was able to re-install 8.1 from a flash drive and get everything working again. Boy was I happy! League of Legends (primary reason to purchase this) ran smooth as butter with 70+ fps on high. Wifi worked great and had no issues, tablet never locked up... I was happy. Then I got the dock and gamepad. A dock is a very simple device. It should operate just as simple as it's design. Plug tablet in, screen comes on tv. Well, the only thing I got to show on the TV was an extended display (won't let me duplicate) that has inverted colors and no audio. After playing with the settings, updating video drivers for on board and nvidia graphics cards.... I somehow got it to work in duplicate mode, but only using intel hd graphics. As soon as I started a game the graphics would go inverted colors and low resolution (and audio over HDMI never did work). I decided, this, I'm done with the dock and setup a return. Then I tried to get the gamepad to work. this is the most useless product that razer has. I played with this ing thing for 3 hours before finally getting it to work. It turns out that there are no drivers for this thing. I scoured the internet looking for drivers, read everything I could and then just gave up. I decided to just force it to use the driver for the microsoft xbox controller and , it works! LITERALLY NOWHERE IS THIS MENTIONED. Razers website doesn't mention this. They do mention that razer synaps 2.0 (which is what holds the drivers for literally all other products) does NOT work with the gamepad (real fkn helpful razer). Ok, so I got it to work... Played resident evil 6 and metal gear rising revengence for a while with it and I have to say, this is a great gaming experience.
Fast forward to the very next day, less than 24 hours after I was playing with it.... I come to work and want to show the guys my new toy... Now the gamepad doesn't work. Doesn't vibrate upon connection, doesn't light up... It shows up in device manager as razer bootloader now. I uninstall, reinstall as xbox controller... doesn't work. I spent another 2 hours ing with the settings and drivers trying to get it to work again but it will just not recognize at all. At this point I'm done. I'm so sick of dealing with the problems that I'm returning everything. I now have 1800+ in limbo waiting on amazon to refund my order because Razer makes a ty product. This is why the tablet didn't sell very well. This is why people don't want to be PC gamers. There are too many things to go wrong and when something does go wrong, the average consumer wouldn't be able to figure it out, or would care to, and just return it and get a plebstation4 or xboned. Now I guess I'm going to wait for a gaming tablet with the new intel iris graphics. Do not buy the razer edge. Learn from my mistake. I wanted to check out the blade 14 but if the edge is anything like that, I'd rather go back to windows 95.Auxilla likes this. -
Anyone know how to deal with paint chips on the Blade? I have a tiny speck on the palmrest on my week-old blade and its annoying the hell out of me atm.

Got my razer 14 on Friday.
Loving it so far.
Is there any easy way to create a recovery sub image?
Am planning to add another 8GB dimm and something to occupy that free Sara slot. Considering Intel or possibly the crucial m500.

Also, you can email Razer support for a USB stick with a Razer's copy of Windows on it. -
So I've got three questions.
1) Anyone know how to get in behind the keys and clean them? I believe something fell behind one of my keys.
2) Also, When I perform a system recovery, it creates another drive in my computer. I have performed it twice, and now have 2 drives that are extra and like 350mb.
3) Is it possible to add more RAM, because I know that you can add another SSD. -
1.) You can't. Not without taking apart the SBUI, which is impossible to do without breaking it (at this moment). If you find specks of dust/dirty/whatever inside the 10 dynamic tactile keys, what i have tried to do was to "give short fast taps" very much like how you would flick an insect off the table but targeted at the keys instead. While this may not remove the dust, it "dislodges" them and hopefully they fall out of the lcd. If you are referring to the keyboard, depending on what fell in, usually a can of compressed air would do the trick. If you are really set on removing them, after the compressed air, take a vacuum cleaner and put it on the least powerful setting and bring it to the keyboard.
2.) Sorry, can't help you with this one. You could try requesting a Recovery USB stick from Razer to reformat your laptop and it should solve that problem.
3.) If you are using the Blade 14, there is no way you can add or change the ram out as the memory is soldered onto the motherboard. If you are using the Blade Pro, it has 2 slots on the motherboard for ram. You can replace the stock ram modules for higher capacity or higher frequency ram. Just take note that it only has 2 ram slots to populate so you would have to purchase ram modules of the right capacity to achieve your desired ram capacity.
Hope that helps!Good luck.

In disk management, the labels were 16gb for recovery, 300mb for efi system partition, the 200gb of the actual drive, and then another 350mb recovery and finally a 349 oem partition. I restored it once, so the 350mb recovery was extra. I deleted the 350mb partition without any issues.

Comparison question pertaining to screen quality for the Blade. I use a Lenovo T430s for work, which has a 1600x900 screen in it. I consider that screen to be poor at best. Is anyone able to tell me how the Blade's screen compares to the Lenovo? Thanks.

Has anyone figured out how to get the FN key to lock? I wish it could be turned on as default.
-
Oh man, what a dilemma I'm in. I'm pretty much set on getting the Blade 14" for college, the form factor and performance seem to be unmatched at this point in time. My problem is if I were to buy the Blade today, I have a 20% off coupon bringing the price down to $1600 for the 256GB model. However, with Maxwell already arriving through the 750Ti, I know I'd be kicking myself so hard if in a few months time Razer releases a new Blade with an updated GPU and probably an HD screen.
What I'm thinking is I'll order the Blade now, and if the screen and performance are not up-to-snuff, I'll send it back. Or maybe I'll just wait, I'm not sure. A $400 discount might be too much to pass up though, and it expires the 28th... GAH! Anyone have any info on Razer's return policy? -
Shipping and Returns | Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.
My opinion is get if for $400 off now & not regret the newest being $2,200 for the lowest end model on a 2014 Blade 14.
Also Razer isn't really smooth with their 1st wave of any type of hardware. If I were to really get the latest, I'd wait a few months after release.(Same way we treat the phones somewhat.)
The performance is excellent & the build is even more impressive. -
Hey guys, I just ordered a Razer Blade Pro 2013 edition using the 20% student discount. I ordered the 256GB one and I read that you can install a second SSD in the Blade Pro. I was wondering if someone could tell me how or link me a guide on how to do it. I've been searching around and havn't been able to find anything. Also could someone link me what kind of harddrive/ssd I need to buy? Also will adding a second harddrive/ssd lower my battery life? if so by how much? Thanks!
-
@Minuss The second slot in the Blade Pro is a sata slot so it should be a 2.5" form factor drive. Battery life wise it shouldn't be too much less if the ssd has low drain when inactive or the hd is set to spin down after a few minutes. I only own a Blade 14 so I cant help you too much, but the comments I see say it isnt too hard to install.

I'm XeroAura on reddit. Answered you there.

Thinking about it more and more this probably is the smart decision, even if Razer releases a kickass new Blade sometime this Summer or Fall, I'd probably still be able to flip the Blade and come out of it with only a couple hundred dollar loss taking the discount into consideration. Going to make my final decision this weekend, we shall see! -
Well, I have been looking through this forum for the last few weeks. Seeing as it is just about the only one which I can find that talks about the Razer Blade (Pro) in any way shape, or form.
But, I'm just excited to post here that I just purchased the 256gb Pro version yesterday using the 20% off offer that is going on through the 28th.
Needless to say, I cannot wait for this thing to show up at my doorstep! -
Hey guys I just got my Razer Blade Pro today and I love it. I have a coupleof questions though. One thing is that it doesnt seem to tell me how much time i have left on my battery or the percentage. anyone know why?
-
Hello,
I'm seriously thinking of buying this amazing piece of art. I need a laptop for school, and I will be working with 3D programs etc.
But the reviews give it 5 stars or 1 star.. Do you recommend this laptop?
Thx! -

Everyone's going to have their own personal opinion and my opinion as a Blade Pro owner is that it's superb for what i use it for and what i need it for. I use it for both work and for gaming. Maya, AutoCAD etc. Not only is this machine light to carry around (for something that has this kind of power under the hood), it's industrial design makes it a more "matured" looking machine.
All that may mean nothing to you so i would like to ask what are your concerns about it so that i can try my best to address them and give you a better idea of what you're in for if you choose to purchase this machine. -
Well I decided to not buy the Blade in its current state, I just need a better screen. Once Razer puts out a 1080p IPS, 860M, Broadwell Blade, I'll be able to join this club, but until then, the wait continues.
If anybody wants a 20% off coupon code for a Blade or Blade Pro, valid til the 28th, PM me.
