    Hi MaynardX,

Please confirm if you have entered the necessary info correctly:

    • Stock CPU Frequency: 2667
    • Max Multiplier: 8
    • Overclocked CPU frequency: xxxx *
    * Where xxxx is your desired overclock frequency

Check if you are overclocking your FSB trough the BIOS. Your system's default FSB frequency is 333Mhz(333x4=1332Mhz). If you are overclocking in the BIOS and SetFSB at the same time, you will need to re-enter the "Stock CPU Frequency:" field on AutoTool's config .exe, with the CPU frequency that you had set/overclocked in the BIOS, so that the algorithm know that the CPU is pre-overclocked.

    Example:

You had overclocked your CPU to 3500Mhz in the BIOS. You will need to enter 3500 in the "Stock CPU Frequency:" field:

    • Stock CPU Frequency: 3500
    • Max Multiplier: 8
    • Overclocked CPU frequency: xxxx *
    * Where xxxx is your desired overclock frequency

You can use CPU-Z to check the FSB and CPU frequencies: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_149.zip

    Any problem please report. Thanks

    ;)

    Hi there
Yes I've OCed my CPU lately. So to make things easier I came back to default settings in BIOS, which is 333MHz, 2660MHz and 8 multiplier. Overclocked CPU frequency set to 3700MHz. So SetFSB reads numbers correctly, but when I start AutoToolOC ON it tells me that CPU is 3700MHz. At this point it doesn't change readings in SetFSB though. Maybe taht is happening when the FSB is set over 400MHz. System hangs suddenly when i reach 400MHz (using 10MHz steps). But till this point SetFSB reads correctly settings although starting AutoToolOCON it tells over and over 3700MHz.

The developer of setfsb has said that he will not support montevina, so it is unlikely for the m860tu to be supported

    Im on a G50vt-A1 with a T9400 Processor.
I set it in the auto-config as 2533/9.5/2800.

yesterday i tried to overclock my e6400 in my dell dimension 9200. It worked very well. now i tried to make setfsb start automaticly. so i configurate my "AutoToolConfiguration" to

    stock : 2130
    multi: 8
    oc: 2500

now i put my "AutoToolOC ON" in the startup folder, but when i start my computer he doesn't overclock automaticly. what can i do?

I was wondering on a lark if this could OC my Acer Aspire 5680. The only PLL that gives no "pll byte error" is the ICS9248BF-87. But that belongs to the Akimbo which shares a similar southbridge to my Acer (82801GBM vs i82801BA). The frequencies I get are also odd:

    FSB/DDR/AGP(??)/PCI
    83.3/166.6/55.5/27.7

Shows the correct processor speed. Very odd indeed.

what are some "safe" and stable OC I can input for it? I will be playing Crysis.

I have the Sager 5797 chassis.

If you can even OC it in the first place... If so, 2.66 will scale to 3GHz with no problem.

I'm concerned about fscking something up in the process. it's just interesting that this is the only one that doesn't show a pll error, but shows AGP when I'm sure my laptop's PCI-E.

BIG EDIT: ICS9LPRS355BGLF seems to display the right info:

    FSB/DDR/PCI-E/PCI
    166.7/333.3/100.0/33.3mhz

Unfortunately, when I hit setfsb to make changes, they don't take. :(

A big thanks to Audigy for his work on this tool. It's amazing =)

For those interested, I'm attaching the results from a variety of benchmarks from stock through to 2.9ghz.

I've been able to get stable around 2950mhz, but I'm running at 2900. Nice round even number =) I upgraded my ram to 800mhz over the stock 667, it turned out the ram was my stumbling point originally.

I'm running XP and used wPrime, Crysis Benchmark Tool with the Crysis demo, and SiSoft Sandra 2009.SP2. I didn't bother with SDMark06; it's highly CPU bound and generally not particularly applicable today.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm pretty happy. Overclocking the FSB does a very nice job of improving virtually every element of the system. It's pure magic :)

    Thanks Audigy!

    Hello there,

so u took app called setfsb, i do download it from this site, but it is old!!!!! it means that my system is not supported, so i go to original destination : www13.plala.or.jp/setfsb/ and my system is supported, coz new version is 2.2.109.81

u created AutoTool Config, and ON, and OFF, but can u tell me please, why your system is not compatible with new original updates? coz i wanna be included too,

i did try today your app, there was not my stuff, so i took new version and applied your applications, but got error msg : PLL bytes dont macht, what u created is really good, could you manage to put these 2 thing together? i mean your applications and original version of setfsb.

    Regards,

    Nika

Hi there I have a Samsung R700 notebook. I followed the instruction exactly for setting up "SetFSB Auto Tool" but setFSB can not find the clock generator compatible for my notebook. Can anybody please tell if there is any way out.
I hope some of you might have had the same problem.

    Hi,

I like to now how many multipliers my proccesor got. Its a T7800 2.60GHz.

(Laptop is a clevo(xxodd)571ru extreem edition 8800GTX, or is it 570ru...?)

Is it 13 like cpu z shows or 14 like real temp shows in the sensor Movement Test!??

And how many do i set in setfsb?

My setting now are 13 and overclockt to 2.90GHz, but in real temp XS Bench its showing a overclock from 3.20MHz  .

    Thanks for the help!

Alright it does work with Win 7 - now my other question.

I set desired clock speed on my t7700 to 2600mhz. But it only reaches ~2570ish.... Is that normal?
Same for all speeds, if I try 2700mhz, it only gets to around 2670... is the conversion off? Should I just set it to 2630, or 2730 to make up the difference?

    Thanks.

check in setfsb if you can set your FSB to 216.6mhz.
    because 216.6*12 = 2.6ghz.

I think you cannot set it to 216, I think it's 214. the nest increase in the FSB above 214mhz would be above 216.6 so setfsb just chooses 214.
That is why you get a speed of 2570.

Don't worry about it, just set it to 2630 or whatever.

Also I think your overclock is very small.

For example my 2ghz T7300 can get to 2.7ghz.

    No....

I would but doesn't that require an additional program that has to startup everytime you boot? if there was a way to undervolt, and have those settings remembered by default, instead of having to use another startup program/program running in the backround I would be more open to it.

If I did though, I would need to set my OC first, then do the undervolting correct?

I know undervolting depends on CPU to CPU, but if anyone has a T7700 w/ tested undervolts to give me sort of an idea of what I should shoot for that'd be great.

you can do a CPU pin mod to undervolt.(would you like a link to a very good guide with photos?)

But I think it's a good idea to just follow the undervolting guide.
It took 12C off my temps.

A pin mod would be to risky for me I think...

If I did use the undervolting guide and RMclock I would need to set my OC first, then do the undervolting correct?

    yes :)

BTW here is a link to the pin mod guide (just read the socket P part):
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=390696
    It's a good read.

    EDIT:

when you follow the undervolting guide, I suggest you just leave orthos running and decrease the voltage every 10 seconds or so. then when you BSOD or orthos gives an error, bring the voltage up one VID. then test with orthos for 30min.

you don't have to test for hours. but you should test with lots of different software and games to make sure it's stable.

In RMclock, you can only lower (or raise) the voltage in steps (VIDs I think people call them).

VID should stand for Voltage Identification. The VID pretty much controls voltage settings.

If i do remember right, there are a couple VID pins in a processor, which are pretty much used as you would use binary numeric system. Lower the binary, higher the voltage. (Someone please correct me if im wrong)

Not really something you gotta know to do basic undervolting or overvolting.

The autostart up of setFSB is not working for me in Win7 - its in my startup folder, and I see it as a startup proccess in msconfig - but it does not automatically run/set my OC.

    advise?

But setfsb may still work. Because it reprograms the clock generator.

The i7 CPUs would still probably be timmed with the same clock generators we have now.

So the name of the software would need to change but it still could work.
If someone has an i7 desktop they should check this out.

I have an acer aspireone AO751H with a 1.33 ghz Atom. I have been told on some aspireone forums that the PLL to use is ICS9LPRS365BGLF. The configuration utility seems to work, however I put the auto-ON utility in my startup folder and nothing happens when I reboot. Is my processor/pll unsupported?
