Thanks for the encouragement and links Jaybee, the links are uploaded on box.com, that is your own personal upload page, I'm assuming? is bandwidth going to be an issue, if so, i'll try and find some external links, having trouble finding the 6.0069 download though.

So I downloaded the drivers for the 7970m and the most current intel drivers. Installed the intel drivers first then the amd drivers. Ran 3dMark11 and i got a score of P1945.. it says it is using the 7970m. This is really low isnt it?

Thanks for the new layout. It makes things pleasing to the eye.

Can anyone tell me the difference between hotkey(6.0069) and hotkey v3 ?

Did you install the 12.11 beta drivers ? Also ensure that you are running 3dMark11 on High performance mode ( in switchable graphics) and that you are plugged in to the ac power.

no problems what so ever for me.
the 310.90 is the same as the 310.70 but with a safety patch. think my 3dmark11 and vantage scores whent down by 10-20 points.
if you havnt already done so download 3dmark11 and vantage from my monitoring sig below and run them every now and again to check on your benchmark scores. when you do update your graphics drivers run before and after to compare the scores.

if you are not sure what 11 and vantage are for look at the "benchmark survey/results in my sig below to give you an idea how the scores can vary between machines.

basically, the v3 was designed for HM series laptops, whereas the v6 came out with the EM machines. altho v6 also works on HM laptops as well, i still prefer v3. its all i really need, all the additional functionality the new control center brings in v6 i just wouldnt use at all :)

Yea I have the beta drivers installed and also have 3dMark11 set to high performance mode while plugged in. What are scores that I should be looking for? ~6500?

7970M stock was in the 5800 range IIRC. I'm not sure if that's with enduro issues or if it was tested on an AW notebook.

7970M stock score in 3dmark11 depends on the driver used. pre-12.11 beta would be around 5700-5800, with 12.11 beta u should get around 6500.

Ok I am going to try and reinstall and install again. I have read and tried several different ways of installing and trying different drivers some give me BSOD and some don't give me the performance hike that everyone else is getting. Can someoneplease help me with exact links to the drivers I should be downloading and exactly how to reinstall and install the drivers. It would be much appreciated.

as i said earlier, sometimes its just best being left alone and running what was loaded by your supplier.
what sort of scores was you getting before you tried updating?

if they were in the 5000 range i would try a system restore to a couple of days ago and cut your losses and just use the stock drivers that were supplied already loaded.

just to double check. left click on the battery on taskbar at bottom right of screen as that score is more like its set to power saver or balanced and not high performance.

There´s something wrong with the chipset driver in the first page, if you look at the readme that´s not for HM77.

Thanks guys, will update the drivers, didn't add the 13.2 beta drivers because some report they are not working on notebooks, but I added modded drivers specifically for the 79xxm series card.

All the chipset INF from Intel support all their chipsets. Doesn't matter if you download desktop or mobile or from a different OEM or directly from Intel or beta.

That's because they aren't actually drivers, they are just INF, which tell the OS how to handle the drivers for their chipset. All it does make sure the OS recognizes the Intel components. Meaning it's not even required. It's also why it's categorized under software, not hardware/drivers.

Also the chipset driver inf won't install over the top of an older version, so you have to force it:

    Hi!

We should use Chipset and Intel RST both installed?

I ask this because the Chipset driver already has the SATA controllers, right?

    What's the difference?

Yeah chipset drivers may overwrite the proper SATA drivers in which case you will have to reinstall SATA after chipset.

There's a new (from 2013/1/19) CLEVO P150EM Hotkey (6.0082) for Windows 7: ftp://ftp.clevo.com.tw/P1xxEM/OTHERS/Hotkey.zip . It's only @ the ASIA mirror (it's very slow by the way) . The USA and EUROPE mirrors store old version (6.0056).

It seems they fixed the issue with CAPS LOCK/NUM LOCK notification stealing focus. I don't play games, but when typing in Notepad or Word it's OK.

I've got one question: is there a quick mouse shortcut to turn off/on keyboard light? (Of course I know the one with FN). Now I have to go to hotkey ->Backlight Keyboard and change separately the colour of all three sections to "black".

By the way why isn't possible to change the size of keyboard application window? Now it's bigger than the screen. The laptop is from the 21st century, but the app is from some old era. At least they gave us the close button (I think the older versions didn't have it :) .

It gives you the Intel AHCI drivers. I installed it on my machine without a hitch(same SSD as yours, 240gb model). It did improve my IOPS scores from ~50k to ~90k so I'd say it's worth it. Are you sure you downloaded the latest version? Get the one from here( http://downloadcenter.intel.com/con...21730/eng/iata_enu.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=21730 ).

Rapid Storage is the one were talking about here (providing the Intel AHCI drivers), NOT Intel Rapid Start :) That one would rather be for quick computer access after resuming from sleep / hibernate ;)

I just figured out that Rapid Start is just for Windows 7, as it enables the quick hibernate on Win 7. On Windows 8 we have that feature already so we don't need this driver. Thanks for the help anyway, guys :)

I wanted to try this new driver on my p170em, but I can't find it on Intel download site anymore, did they just took it offline, since it was causing trouble?
And yes, I know it is available on the first page of this topic, but I like to cross information with the original site.

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask if anyone is having problems with their hotkey application. I have a P170EM and the application just died. It gives me a message on startup please reboot to and ensure all drivers are correctly installed I read that some one (at the beginning of this thread had the same problem. I have currently installed the 6.0082 version. Previously I had the 6.0045. I ve tried restore points, re-installing .NET 4 and am at my wits end. Can anyone please help me?

Or maybe you have Disabled Hardware, for instance, i have a external audio card so i usually disable the internal realtek audio card, doing so generates the mentioned error message.
