    Perfect reasons to get s 9280. Low to no priority for SLI and wanting the biggest, baddest CPU. :)

    Since both these machines are now shipping, can someone compile a side-by-side comparison? I'd be particularly interested in how much a M980NU with a QX9300 gives up versus a D900F with an i7-975, in cpu intensive benchmarks, but I'd also appreciate comparisons of the effect of single versus dual 280Ms in gpu intensive tasks.

    It is application by application and game by game for results.

    There are various threads with benchmarks for not only QX9300 but 280M's. Check the AW forums along with these forums. Spend some time looking around the forums and you will see plenty of results.

    To bad we have to choose between the two.

    Whatever rig comes out with an i7 and dual 280's (or better) is gonna sell like hotcakes!

    Nevermind it literally being a hotcake with a PSU the size of Manhattan.....
