You need to update NiBiToR to v. 4.6. Anything before that cannot read it correctly, and you don't want to flash with an incorrect reading.

It is the same Problem again, nibitor cannot read the right clocks...

    Device : 0617 (Unsupportet!)

That means, when i flash now the clock will not change.
I can change the Device to 9800M GTX, but this is maby the wrong Version (0607).

When i flash 0607 the screen will be black again, and i must flash back to original ROM without screen...
I think there must be update of nibitor where the 0617 supported.

Can you tell me again, what do you write about Checksume? I dont understand this?!!

There are two options, one to save a file, and one to save without a checksum. Just make sure you use the save option, I'm sure you am already.

Perhaps its possible the 617 device is not supported at this time. I would contact mvktech.net and give him a copy of your BIOS.

hey emike, i can explain it now right? now that i have gtx's? *LMAO*

    1: open nibtor
    2: open bios file
    3: click adv info
4: change device id from 0617 to 060c
    5: click file/save bios/save file as 9800mgtx
    6: click file/open bios/double click 9800mgtx

you will now have the correct info to work with.

7: now make your clock changes
8: click the adv info tab and change the device id string back to 0617
    9: then click save bios
10: now take your newly created bios fil and flash your card or cards using
    nvflash 9800mgtx.rom

if you have two cards, then click yes at both prompts, for single card users..just click yes once.

edit: do not go flashing a different id string or your system will not boot! and for you to even get that far..you would have to force flash. no force flashing, if it says your strings are not correct, then it means just that. you didn't change the device id strings back before saving bios.

Hey Kollege ^^ You cant change the vcore without doing a hardmod! We also have the same problem! My card clocked at 670 MHz GPU-, 875 MHz Mem- and 1700 MHz Shaderclock at maximum.

OT: @ emike09: Can you write a mail to sager to get the new 1.00.07b EC-Firmware? Because they will include a new feature. FN+2 will set a quiet mode for the fans! Please send it to me if you get them! :)

how come you just dont use fn+1? or this is not the same?

and it's not always how high you try to over clock your card to get it to perform better...it's a variety of things....

    thanks

    thanks

and the max voltage your going to get out of the 0617 is 1.05 volts and that really is more than enough. because it's not the gpu that's holding you back...it's the cpu. over clocking the cpu produces far better results. (personal opinion) and if you keep trying to run them high over clocks, your system is going to experience system crashes and hard disk errors....

This file here. Reads as a 9800M GT. Has the 1250MHz shaders and all... Run Everest if you can, something seems fishy to me... Everest will tell you exactly what card and every detailed spec about it.

The 9800M GTX has clocks set to 500/1375/799, while the 9800M GT is set to 500/1250/799. When I pull that vBIOS in and run it as either a 9800M GTX (0608) or as a 9800M GT (060C), it shows up as the 9800M GT.

Also, the 9800M GTX has a maximum VID of 1.03v, while the 9800M GT's maximum VID is 1.05v. The 9800M GTX's 1.03VID is due to its increased shader count and higher heat output when compared to the cooler running shaders of 9800M GT. So this again points toward the card being a 9800M GT.

When comparing the Hex of that vBIOS, it resembles that of the 9800M GT, and does not resemble that of a 9800M GTX, again showing the card as being a 9800M GT.

So the frequencies, voltage, and hex of that vBIOS file show it as a 9800M GT.

    nvflash -b 98mGTX.rom

The vBIOS you uploaded before is a 9800M GT.

Well I usually trust everest... and it shows you as a GTX. Is this with your original device id or a flashed one?

Unless your GPU is a GTX with some sketchy GT bios flashed to it to make you think its a GTX, it would appear you have a new GTX vBIOS. I'm going to try flashing it to my GPU tonight and see what it does. Your vBIOS is 3 days newer than mine, and if I can get 1.05v out of it, I would be very happy! We'll have to see.

im thinking that's why nvidia snatched all the gt's off the market...some one messed up along the line.

    i paid for and got 9800m gtx's. i had 9800m gt's first

both show up as the same identical clocks 500/799/1250 and i looked at them both.

Gosh thats weird. The 1250 clocks belong to the 9800M GT. It should be reading as 1375MHz. Unless this "new" vBIOS is set to 1250MHz by default, which doesn't make sense since the shaders can handle the 1375 without problem. Handles 1600 without problem...

Well Johnksss, what you think. Do you for sure have the 9800M GTX cards, without a doubt? I wonder if there is a way to check shader count...

sure. you know me...i took them apart...lol
and i checked them when i first booted my system with them in. form what i was told..they said it was a mistake about the shader print...i never even thought to check back and see if it got changed. funny thing was...when i over clocked my single gt, i got the same score as itsfun and he had a gtx. (12,100) didn't really get a chance to get down and dirty with these yet..since they we're having an issue. and the numbers i was getting back seemed to be flubbed. stock speeds we're getting up to 14.3 to 14.6.... but i did fully test the gt's and so far...the gtx's do perform better and much more fluently while gaming...

If you could run 3DMark Vantage, I can pit your GPU score against a DB of 9800M GTX scores. They are almost always around GPU 4000.
