Sorry, but the 12.11 performance driver are the one with enduro from the first link dated 14/11/2012? Sorry but someone call enduro driver, some catalyst 9.1, some 12.11P, i just want to be sure so i dont need to reformat after the os install for a misunderstanding!

Also, with your driver on win8 do you have performance drop?

As for Windows 8, overall it's just better, more stable. I just think Windows 8 is a better OS than Windows 7. Classic Shell resolves any issues with Windows 8 if you don't like Metro.

I have no doubt that this is the best driver for Windows 8, i never had a single crash or bsod, performance seems good and everything works very well.

The only thing i still have problems with is GPU fan cycles, it gets stuck in high rotation when you close any 3D app and hence the GPU is disabled, the fan will keep it´s rotation forever, unless you activate the GPU again.I usually just open a app that i know that activates the GPU so it can update the fan rotation and then i close it again.

Hi, the notebook arrived, i installed all the updates in windows 8.
Intel hd 4000 driver then 12.11P driver, , put all in high performance and so on, then i start the secret world.
After the 3video the game stopped and turn to desktop all with a orange tint, then the only wai to go back to normal its to restar.
    What i am doing wrong?

Go to Prema's website and update your ME8 firmware and drivers. That should fix your GPU fan issue.

Hello everyone !!! Glad to be back to Amsterdam!!!

Right when I touched my puter after almost 6 months, I installed Medal Of Honour 2 on Win 7, then I installed Win 8 with the AMD Catalyst 12.11 (9.010.0 November 6) Enduro Performance Driver for Win 8. On Win 7 all maxxed I was getting 70 % utilisation of my GPU (with stock video driver) and maximum 30 FPS. On Win 8 I am getting 40-45 FPS and 90-95% utilisation. I also maxxed Far Cry 2, and it gets 30-35 FPS. So...this laptop still kicks!

I wish you all a very nice new year's firework hell.

Nope still happens. Updated firmware in pure DOS with success and updated the driver.
It doesn´t seem to happen so often but still does, sometimes i exit from Photoshop with fans spinning high and the fans will keep spinning for hours at least until i open another app that will activate my graphic card and update fan rotation.

Anyone REALLY ever solved the fan spin stuck issue?
