We order complete notebooks not barebones only. This way we can offer the newest technology as soon as Eurocom has it and delivery time is only two weeks. We of course ship internationally but client has to pay for shipping to the Czech Republic when RMA, Goldmax pays shipping back to the client after RMA. Overseas orders does not make much sense at least to me.

We also sell parts only (VGA,CPU,RAM) if anyone from Europe is interested.

He was trying to figure out/joke about your name.

Personally, I just think you're just "somewhere" on the Sea to Sky (or in GVA), and born in '86. =P

Yup. BUT we should start new thread on 6970M performance benchmarks, and temps w/ stock or custom TIM on idle/load.

Has anybody successfully installed a 6970 into a Clevo w860cu WITHOUT USB 3.0? I really want to pull the trigger and snag one from RJ Tech, but the heatsink is only for the P150HM and not the w860cu. Will the p150 heatsink fit that comes with the card or will I have to use one of my 3 heatsinks and see if one of them will fit (I have a 280m heatsink, 460m, and 5870). I

I'm aware of the modded 6970 heatsink installed in a W870CU but I don't want to go through all the trouble of using a dremmel to cut the heatsink to fit.

I don't think anyone here has installed the 6970M in any version of the W86.

Someone is going to have to be the first to try.

I would....but I don't want to be the one who drops $550 and come to find out that it doesn't work and then be forced to sell it for less and take the hit. :( I have an idea: Somebody else give it a try for me!! :)

Spoke to Deviltech and they say that they will be getting them in in 3 to 4 weeks. They have no price as yet.

Kobalt UK now have the HD6970M's as a config option. If you purchase a G170 for example, the 697M is a +£43 upgrade price compared to the GTX 485M which is a +£292 upgrade price. Good luck getting any more sales Nvidia...

That is +£43 for around twice the performance of the base Nvidia 460M. It is a shame it took this long for the 6970M to arrive though, they clearly missed out on a lot of potential sales.
