It will fit.
But you are going to need a 6990m heatsink, not the default 460m heatsink.

I have a 6990m in my laptop. I'm on it right now.
-
why did u get the 460m in the p150hm?
-
Look like everyone waiting for the 6990m and all play GW2, sweet!
-
whats gw2 the great wait 2(6990). i suppose then GW is the great wait(580m)
-
Wut? Oh Aduy you should join us, both the 485m and the 6990m are overkill for that game, but I rather get overkill then not!
-
whats gw2?
-
Guild Wars 2
-
GW 2 is going to be epic!!!!
-
Of course I will buy together with the heatsink.
-
This card just cannot come out fast enough
-
Come on now. You can't verbally attack the guy, then tell him lets take it offline via PM. That would be like me punching you in the face, then saying lets not fight anymore. I vote for a Malibal response, then XoticPC can decide if he really wants to take it offline by saying so without a nasty counter response.
Then again, I just like to stir up the pot... -
Well, I do also think Malibal deserves a counter-response.
Very interesting how the two are openly attacking one another,
but none of what they say are truth according to another. -
I was quite sure that Malibal buy their barebones from Clevo and were not Sager-branded. Why would they purchase their optional parts from Sager if this was the case?
-
Hmm this remind me about the recent episode from south park where the chinese guy fought with the japanese guy
ty wok vs ty sushi
-
280.19 supports the 580M no need for a modded INF.
-
That one is in Beta, whereas AMD Catalyst 11.7 has been WHQL certified already. A benchmark on equal grounds would require WHQL certified drivers for both nVIDIA and AMD.
-
about this whole driver thing--I know Alienware has DELL drivers--do Sager/CLevo owners just download the latest from Nvidia or AMD with out any modifying of extra complications?
-
To whom they are looking to upgrade their existing machine to 6990M :
http://forum.notebookreview.com/computer-components/598812-fs-6990m-brand-new-free-heatsink.html -
QFT
Also your sig is win sir, thats nearly identical to the configuration I ordered from them
. Now we wait...
-
Nope, no complications for us. As long as Nvidia and AMD have our cards in the inf, we can install whatever we want, hassle free.
-
For those keeping track, the pricing on the AMD 6990M just went down. It's now only a $175 upgrade from the 560M on the P151HM1, P170HM and X7200!
-
^ Can you give us the reason why it went down?
-
Because the old price was just a speculation before they have been quoted for the real price for example?
-
So for the people who preordered before the price drop, they get refunded?
-
That is awesome! Have you guys check the card to see if there will not be anything wrong with it? I just worry cause it seem like AMD rush it to complete with the 580m.
Thanks! -
Any chance that this means you're getting closer to getting a firm ship date on these?
-
if anything nvidia rushed out the 580m to beat the 6990m. the 580m is basically just a fast clocked 485m, where as the 6990m has improvements in the clocks/ number of stream processors and in other areas as well
-
All you do is spread fear about AMD. What's up with that?
-
well he just relays what he sees others post, after all there are more threads about problems like "my card isn't working" than threads like "my card is working"
-
I was glad to see an option from AMD. I got burned in the nVidia 8800 debacle on a couple of notebooks a few years back.
-
Will the price of 6990 continue to drop Malibal? And if it does before you ship out mid-August, will you refund the extra cash paid?
-
Hi, I doubt the price will drop anymore than this, but if it does - yes, we will give every customer (who's notebook hasn't shipped) the new lower price.

-
it kicks the 580m anyday wen combined with pricing and performance
-
Is that to Sager, or to you?
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
This is @ Sager. Since Sager ships any Sager Dealer's machine there will be tracking #'s next week hopefully!
-
I don't know if this has been linked or not yet, I started reading through the 44 pages of this topic but gave up about half way through. So, if this has been lnked already, sorry. If not, here you guys/gals go.
6990 review
Wait a second, I just realized they weren't testing an actual 6990m but a desktop 6870 at 6990m clock speeds. So take these results with a grain of salt. -
That, and they say it won't be available in anything less than a 17" screen...
-
44 pages of postings and NO comparisons of battery life to the equal footed nVidia mobile GPU, very curious.
-
What do the Alienware and Apple users have to say? The former have had the cards for roughly a month now (they do have integrated graphics switching though).
-
I think it would be awesome if the resellers could do their own battery testing between GFX cards considering they have everything on site
-
so crossfire AMD 6990 would be real value for money with performance in terms that it is much cheaper than dual 580 and they perform almost the same?
-
aww Malibal priced this 6990m at $175 and then changed it to $195 and then finally to $245...
-
PM us in the next 24 hours and we'll honor the old price.
-
yeah i was getting ready to make the laptop iwanted dual 6990 i remember it being around 2.2k now its 2.4k
kinda bad they change their prices like that
-
is there a Crossfire 6990 review yet or?
-
sadness
-
I was so close to ordering the P150HM this morning. I guess I should have pulled the trigger.
