At Powernotebooks? I wired xoticpc the money, the day I called to verify the order. Granted the mobo fried, thank God in QA during production.

I agree with sfxocean about a limited availability marking on the site. And I do think that they should pull an order post mine, and deliver mine first.
It's low man on the totem pole.
    Customer should come first.

Does anyone know the stock amount that Sager is getting on the 11th? As in, will the current amount of backorders be filled with this shipment?

There are supposed to be enough to fill all of the current orders, with some left over.

However until they arrive and can be counted we will not know for sure.

Also please remember that there may also be a slight delay for any orders with the Quadro card, but that may not happen, and even if it does it shouldn't be more than about a week.

I can honestly say that I never got a call about my order being delayed (not from you Donald but from xoticpc). I had no idea it was even going to be delayed until I read this thread. However, I have no hard feelings for xoticpc because its not their fault that this is happening at all. I am just trying to look on the bright side and hope it does get delayed until August 11th. At least I can save a little money that way :)

Perhaps if took into count all the preorders they (the Vender's) get, you would than conclude that your statement could use some definite refining. :)

At this point has the date been confirmed on the np8660?

There has been no further update about the release date of the NP8660. It remains at early August.

I apologize if you didn't get a notification. We sent out notifications to all customers with orders for the 9262 advising them of the updated delay. I have sent a PM to you discussing our notification to get more information on why you didn't get it.

No no no. Let's get one thing straight. The thing you confirmed when xotic recieved my money, 2270.63 +72 dollars the second day cos I needed to upgrade to overnight was this:

PC is in Stage II QA (Same thing I heard on the phone) 3-7 business days.

And let's be as honest with each other as can be. I ordered in good faith, with a phone cal to collect routing numbers and a pony express number, to wire your (xotics accounts) the money.
There was no mention of a restock liability, should this one fail. It is assumed in general sales contract that a person person(S) taking an order for a product will grant the licensee or in this case, the customer, the product in equal succession to the date received.

Not, were pushing you back near to the date of the GTX (NVidia 9800) release.
On not around the 14th of July the site xotic PC was revamped to offer at an incredibly low price, the new 9800GM GT 512 MB card, on top of an incredibly low priced dream machine.
Truth? Orders went through the roof, huh. But for some reason, mine is cast about in a sea of questions.

I know Donald could get me the same price. Speced it out last night. Same price, same machine, with a finite delivery date.

Buy one of the four he has in stock.

His delivery date is 8-6 to a credit card. (friend of mine, Had to cancel at xotic, as they have a much needed vacation)

Why? The same 9800m card is involved. Same 9262 Sager Clevo 901 C Chassis.
    Why?
Why, in fact if he can procure the blasted thing on the 6th of August (Still 12 working business days) from my 22nd order (And like I said, My order should've been valid from the 21st. I talked to people in person, money showed, as per schedule). And I was never really informed of delays at the point of sale, nor beyond 3-7 working business days.

I wasn't prepared to wait for a pre order, nor did I enter contract under the guise of such.

First man in line gets his visit to the teller. Ever been to a bank?

Obviously, xotic has all my money, they have.

And I really don't want a refund. It would take ten days to arrive via snail, and fourteen to clear at my bank.
Which puts us in the Late August, Early September range.
    Doesn't it.

Now, I know you aren't the GM at xotic, Justin. You just work there.
But you must have some idea why this goes this way?

GR3ATL10N - I would be happy to come in and help clarify some things. I am the GM/Owner of Xotic PC. Many of these questions would be better served over email if you want to PM or email me with more questions.

With all due respect, you have received a update on every aspect of your order, including:
    -Original order confirmation
    -Wire Details
    -Wire Receipt
    -Order Changes
    -Order Update on Delay

We updated you and every other customer at the same time concerning the delay. The delay was not evident in any way until within 48 hours of us notifying you of the delay via email. Your order was placed into production nearly 5 business days prior to our update of the delay. Due to your previous urgent rush requests on your order, we upgraded your shipping at no charge.

Sager expects to have machines by August 11th as both Donald and myself have reported. I have also reported in a previous post that you are in the front of the line. :) We always appreciate our customers patience when these delays come up. I hope this helps with the clarification.

ok I am also in the same boat. I ordered the 9262 (loaded!!! 3 SSD's 9550, 8mb's etc etc etc) and now find it on back order etc. I paid with a credit card it went to phase 2 and then back to phase 1.

I have have nothing but great things to say about xotic during this process. Sure I am bummed I am not getting my 6,000 computer as fast as I thought but some things are beyond everyone's control. I have received update after update from xotic pc and I am sure they are in the same position we are. everytime i emailed with a question or changes, always a prompt response. Actually I wish everytime i spent this kind of money I was treated this way. seems all to infrequent to me.......

Plus look at the bright side......prices are supposed to drop on the 10th for the processors, and hopefully we will have more info on the video cards by then.

I am not sure what else everyone thinks can be done here. I guess you can cancel your order, get a refund, go purchase an alienware computer and receive horrible CS and probably a machine that breaks down all the time....

Come on guys we are all bummed out but lets just chill and take a step back :)

Justin/xotic thanks for the great service! I know you are doing everything you can.

This discussion has gone on the point now where it's a senseless rant . . . it appears to me that the company you pre-ordered your laptop from is holding up its end of the bargain. Don't you think they want to get you the product as soon as possible? You have to look at this situation from a balanced viewpoint.

A lot of people on these forums will tell you . . . Clevo/Sager machines are worth the wait. We wouldn't have a forum full of raving customers otherwise. You'll get what you ordered, just hang on.

That said, you should take this issue up with the company now - it is a private matter. Thread closed.
