Um, when did W860CUs start shipping (wasn't it OCT/NOV)? Is it normal for Clevo to release new models every 6 months?

From what i've hear they stick with the chassis as long as possible.... Clearly they have tech refreshes with newer CPUS and GPUs, but that saves them money and gives us upgrades. Also, please some one correct me here but the W860CU has bad cooling and should be around for at least another 6 months or so....

Imo, the cooling in g73 isn't too impressive at all. It's Clevo or Dellienware. And if Clevo goes metal and offers OLEDs - count me in.

Alright, ordered with 8690 with ATI M5870 and i820qm, I figure the extra 2mb of L3 cache would be very helpful in code compilation, even if it's just 10% increase in speed it's quite worth the 200+ extra, 30 min compilation time on my current laptop with T5500 sucks, though it does give a good excuse for slacking off while compiling.

It's a bad strategy to present a new product line on the last day as it gives very little time for business talks.

If it wasn't for this I wouldn't even think to have hopes as honestly, there's nothing out there till Sandy B.

Well, we've got rumors of the x7200 plus there's been the typical price drops on the flagship models before CeBit hits, so you'd think that something is coming, no?

I agree, there's no real reason to get a whole brand new chassis until Sandy Bridge hits, but there's no reason they shouldn't have a SLI offering in the 17' slot to compete with the m17x. That's why the x7200 rumors make sense.

"...At CeBIT 2010, CLEVO will present a series of our Notebook PCs ranging from entry value to high performance..." - this is from Clevo, and the only reason I'm still hoping to see something hot out there.

    Yes I am.

This is my first Clevo and I must say it is a nice system. Doesn't quite have the same robust build/feel as an AW, but it is pretty good.

    Very true.

Although I like this system better because it is WAY lighter than the M17x.

You will see something today. You will see alot of new "somthings".

One brand new thing (never done(hopefully im right ;)))....some of you will be like WT??? It will be very "cool" (pun intended)

If they dont show them today you will still see it within the month....like a 16 inch laptop from some company....

Edit: Now that I saw the x7200 thread, don't tell me x7200 is going to be released as a 16" laptop with liquid cooling and 5870 in SLI? Holy...

I'm guessing they might be using something like sapphire's vapor-x technology or even OCZ's cryo technology to cool their laptop which is completely non-conventional... this will be something worthy of a WT...
