Sager NP9176 series has 4K option but probably not the simplest Clevo notebook because of the desktop CPU platform.

How are the chances for the configs below next year? Hopefully early in 2020

    -Clevo with AMD 7nm CPU?
    -Clevo with AMD 7nm GPU?
    -Clevo with 17" 4K 120Hz panel (nonTouch)?

I have a question for [email protected] (I was going to email you, but I thought this might help others; (I'll order from you for the delid and premabios, and your reviews are nothing but good things)).
I understand from the forum that the p870 is at the end of it’s life, but it seems with the recent updates, and nvidia 20XX options, it is the the best chassis available in term of heat management with the VC (hence performance), even with the possible new chassis for 2020 that leaked (the x170 ?).
I am not in a hurry to order (I am in Europe and will have family coming to Europe in June 2020), so should I wait and see what new options will be released in the coming months, or get one of the p870 while they last, knowing that support might be a b**ch in the future?
Does the VC really justify the 700 usd difference with a p775? Or is there something else I overlooked?
    Thank you for your time.

Hmm, an interesting dilemma. Ordinarily I would say wait to see what is going on closer to your USA visit...but by doing that you may be risking that the EVOC High Performance Systems P870TM-R will no longer be available. That is the dilemma...unfortunately, I can only lay it out, I cannot make that decision for you.

Support won't be a problem for years...you get Lifetime Tech Support, and Clevo is very good about keeping parts for years after a model is discontinued...probably the best out of all of the manufacturers we represent.

The Vapor Chamber alone is not worth the $700 delta, but it is more than just that. Even without the VC the 870 cools better than the 775 (although I always recommend getting the VC), and is more feature rich.

I will be here to serve you whenever you are ready!

Thank you for your reply, that's what I thought.
Christmas is around the corner, I might contact you again soon by direct email this time.

One last question, do you think this chassis would be able to handle 2 20XX in sli for possible future upgrades or that's asking to much of the current 370 chipset?

Again, thank you for your time!

You have to buy from a reseller who works with Prema. One such is HIDEvolution whom I suggest if you live in the USA/Canada.

What are peoples' views on the PB71RF-G? I'm trying to decide between that, the GE75, and the Strix Scar III but what is really holding me back is the display as everything I have read seems to indicate it is a TN display. I went to go see a PB70 rebadged as a Powerspec 1720 at Micro Center and was really underwhelmed by the screen

    Hello everyone,

I have decided to buy my little brother a gaming laptop. I already know which one. Aorus 17 XA. I need help from you good folks to help figure out who to buy it from! The only resellers I could find that sold this one were Gentech PC and Hidevolution. Feel free to let me know if there are others!

    GentechPC vs HiDevolution.

    GentechPC Build:

Free Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut on CPU/GPU upgrade
Free 30 Day No Dead Pixel Warranty
Free Fujipoly Ultra Extreme Thermal Pads
Free RGB Laser Gaming Mouse & Laptop Cooler with 4 fan ( cooler probably won't fit the Aorus )
9th Gen Intel Coffee Lake Core i7-9750H
    nVidia GeForce RTX2070 8GB GDDR6
    16GB DDR4 2666 MHz/PC4 21300 (8G X 2) Dual-Channel
    512GB PCIe NVMe Gen-3 4X Lanes 32Gb/s
    Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 802.11 2.4Ghz/5.0Ghz Dual-Band Bluetooth 5.0
Clean Windows Installation, no bloatwares, BIOS update and drivers optimization
2 Year Parts / Life-time GenTech PC Labor Warranty, Lifetime Toll-Free Technical Support
    Shipping with additional Triple-Boxed protection
    Total: $2557.03

    HiDevolution Build:

Welp. Their website is having issues right now but prices were close. I liked their OS tuneup option where they can remove all the standard apps built into windows making for a clean lean machine ready to go!

My main question is who has the better customer service? The laptops are the same, prices are pretty close. The major factor is the human factor. I have zero experience with either of them. My little brother is going to be a heavy user. He is going to be gaming if he is awake or not in school. He is not very techy either. He knows how to go steam and download games and click play and just play. I'm expecting lots of user error troubles. So looking for a company with good after market service. Help! Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Curious why LPC Digital not considered? They include the Prema BIOS and their prices are very competitive - at least for the P775TM1-G that I've been looking at for awhile. From what I've seen in these forums they seem to have a good reputation.

On a more general note...maybe more applicable to another thread, but while I'm here...how difficult is it to install your own OS? I mean, I can get a Win 10 Pro key for very cheap on Ebay - and download the OS install to a stick myself. What is the advantage, if any, of having the seller install the OS, aside from the convenience of not having to do it? I could save over $100 by installing the OS myself.

I read no plans currently for 17.3". I assume they are treading the waters carefully to see how the 15.6" is received and go from there.

Sorry it does not according to the specs of the NP8358F2. This feature would show under the security section of the specs if it did have it.
It's cousin, the NP8458F2 does have the 'Area Fingerprint Reader under Glass Surface'...

I've given up on Clevo with regard to a non-gaming 17 inch laptop with a 4k display. I've ordered a HP Envy 17 with a 4k display from the states. It's not available in Europe of course (idiots with HP Europe) . You can simply configure it in their web shop, and for a modest price you get a nice notebook with a 10th generation CPU, a NVidia MX 330 with 4GB memory, 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB M.2 SSD.

This is a notebook for photography, the 4k display has excellent colour reproduction, and that is why I wanted a 4k display.

Can you confirm that the RTX 2070 MXM card can be put in place of a 1070MXM in a clevo P870KM Clevo?

What are the chances that clevo will make the RTX 3000 Series available for upgrade?

So the TM-1 is newer than the KM that has a i9-9900k in it? I bought my KM back in February 2019 with a gtx1070.
I have not seen a post comparing the 2 anywhere here. Would you be so kind to clear the differences up?

oh right, sorry, the naming of these is lost on me sometimes, changing with every new lineup sometimes, so long as it supports pascal you are good. KM or TM but the earlier ones CAN work but not really supported and it's sort of after market, as you can sort of see in these forums people do all sorts of unsupported upgrades. Infact, use them as a resource, you'll get quicker answers and more replies IMO.

    Hi @ all

are there any plans for small form factor Laptops - i mean i had had a W230SS in the past and it was a big mistake to sell it. I already own a P751TM1 for work so a slim 13,3" / 14" laptop would be nice to be mobile. Are there any plans for one of this laptops with dedicated NVIDIA GPU. The only alternatives i see atm would be ASUS G14 or Razor Blade Stealth but these two are really really expensive top models...

    greetings Andi

The 15 inch thin machine basically covers that, the volume is lower due to the thin construction.

    Missing fan from p870dm3-g?

I have one from Metabox spec’d with 6700k and gtx 1080 sli. From teardowns there appears to be 3 fans but looking from the outside of my one there seems to only be 2 fans (1 fan for cpu and another for gpu). Gtx 1080 sli shows up in nvidia control panel and nothing is overheating.

Anyone know what’s up with this?

Any resellers offer rtx 2080 mxm for adequate prices?

Currently found only eurocom, offering upgrade kits.

From the looks of it - its easier to buy brand new laptop with 2080 mxm, than order separate card and just swap it with old card and sell..

Guys can i just order that vapor Chamber for my GTX1070 in my P870KM or will i need to do a handstand to get it to fit in?

My GTX1070 has been erratically thermal throttling ever since i started using a 5 Monitor setup.
It did come with stock cooling, and i have been using it heavily for VM and CAD workloads.
The Compiling of vids are now impossible without putting it on Extreme Fan speed. When i had it in 3 monitor i could just run it on silent mode and it would happily chugg along and encode without making much noise.

Any idea when Clevo's with 3080's will be announced?

Been tempted to order this: https://www.gentechpc.com/product-p/asus-g733qs-xs98q.htm
But I'm a bit concerned that it won't be much of an upgrade from my current Clevo. I'd be more confident in my choice if there was a Clevo model with the same components (especially since Clevo often uses higher wattage for their GPU's).

    https://www.notebookcheck.net/Schen...unleashes-the-Core-i7-processor.504341.0.html

In another post on notebookcheck, there was an article about a leak for the next generation laptops Clevo were about to manufacture. It contained references to rtx 3080. I'm guessing some stuff has been delayed due to covid. I saw that post yesterday but can't be bothered to look for it right now. The laptop in the leak post is the same platform as the xmg neo laptop.

I'm guessing it's only a matter of time until they condense the 3080 series into a MxM format .... well I hope anyway... since I'm thinking about upgrading mine.

Will there be a Clevo/Sager 3080rtx (150+ watts) laptop with the Ryzen 5900hx CPU in it? The reason I ask is because XMG has it but I'm in the US and shipping from XMG would probably cost a pretty penny!

I've been told the new line of sager/clevo notebooks should be within weeks, have you found the same might be true?
