Would be kinda cool if Obsidian could create a replacement for the clevo control center that is modern, better / easier to use and actually performs. Would even pay for one. The CCC is absolutely garbage in its current form for what it is. Feels like a 8 year old made it.

Please give me some more time...

I´m doing all apps in x64, all with same theme, and i´m trying to add ACTUAL useful functions to it:

For example, what´s the point in having a Volume Control ONLY??? Windows already does that, so i´m adding stuff like:
    Quick Button for sound settings
On the Fly change Sound Scheme (i hate OS sounds)
If you click the "..." you get more options like: "Default Start Volume" and "Default Heaphones Volume" - which you use only if you want.

Same for brightness... as you can see in the image those are the options that show when you click the "..."

I´m trying to make it as useful and logic as possible. Clean, Easy to Edit Theme (texts, images, buttons, etc).

New Feature i just implemented... all the apps from the lot will be able to communicate between them : :

    Todo:
    - Convert the updater (previously known as "Obsidian TOOLS") to this new layout.
    - Create a common updater for all apps
    - Finish Control Station (Devices Enable and Disable for LAN/BT/TOUCHPAD/WEBCAM, Power Management Options, Widgets, Support)
    - Any "Fix" needed will need to be added to Control Station, like that rare case of headphones not working after sleep, GPU Mode Switch, etc
    - Finish Keyboard Led

PS. I already use Fan Control on my daily units... :D

Due to the ability to turn off fans this software might do damage to your laptop (it has hardware safety measures, but still) it has to be properly tested in various models.

Be patient, I could try to give you a time frame for the release of a Beta, but unfortunately I can only help @John@OBSIDIAN-PC in my spare time and I can't predict the spare time I'll have.

Hummm do you want to test the Control Station?
Just did some more work today:

Top shortcuts wont work - Updater / Fan Control / Keyboard Led

Everything else is working, maybe tomorrow after i add some more stuff i can share a beta version!

My nitpick would be 'Led' - it would be better as 'LED' in my view. I'm impatiently waiting for the keyboard LED application, but am happy to test anything you want to share. Also, to ask again, is there a PayPal or similar to buy the devs beer and/or chips?

I can't take money even though control station and keyboard LED will be free, everything else will be commercial.
But maybe Devs like @skandal can take donations to add code to the free apps.
My company will be paying him only for certain commissioned work like fan control specific classes, so extra work on free apps can be donation based, I would love his help on those too.

When the temperature is too high (dangerously high) the fans should be running full blast. That should be a given - a non tamper-able override. Fan profiles should only be tweaking what happens at lower temperatures.

For safety purposes you could have lower limits for the fan speeds at various temperatures - kind of like the SOA (safe operating area) we use for semiconductors.

You could (and should) start beta testing whether fan speed detection works reliably on various models. Maybe some test speed buttons - like 500, 1000, 1500, max RPM, and users tell you if it works on their model. You don't have all the models, so this would be a nice way to get some data on the ones you don't. Please include instructions for how to give you feedback (contact info, EC dumps, etc.).

I have packed my mom at the postal office, ready to ship off, also awaiting to pay 50$ to betatest the fan-control app at my own risk. Joke aside - I'm a developer/programmer and technician myself for 25 years, I am monitoring the cpu/gpu temps on a second and third alert-notification, so if your beta fails I wont burn either (the 50$ was no joke though).

    VERY IMPORTANT
LaptopTools folder NEEDS to be moved to C:\Program Files\
So from now on everything will be inside C:\Program Files\LaptopTools\

Please Report - ALWAYS start report by saying "My laptop model is XXXXXX" and i have Control Center installed/Not Installed"
    Stuff i need feedback:

    - Uninstall Control Center first for better feedback
    - Tell me if your keyboard hotkeys still works
    - How does it look with scaled visualization and LCDs above 1080p
    - Does the Volume for headphones work?
    - Does your headphones work without Control Center (Even after a Windows Sleep/Wake) ?

Ok, so quick question cause the model numbers don't make things easy.
PA71EP6 does this include PA71EP6-G? i can never easily find info on the differences. cool new UI btw.

My laptop model is P750-DM2G and I have CC installed, but not running (all Clevo stuff is disabled).
The volume slider did not initially affect the volume at all for me - it started working after I clicked 'sound settings'. I've not been able to reproduce this since.
The headphones jack on my machine has never worked for me - not sure why; I tend to plug into the line out instead. As such, I don't find myself able to test this. I assume some part of the RealTek HD software is responsible for messing with me.
The label for the headphones volume gets cut off at 'are' for me until I resize the panel to >890 pixels wide.
    Brightness slider is working.
Display looks fine on the 4K panel in this unit.
Nothing shown in the Power/Support/Widgets tabs.
Keyboard hotkeys seem to be working for me.

I'm not convinced that the '...' is a good label for the start/battery settings tabs.

PA70HS-G (PowerSpec 1710) CCC 5.0001.1.80 installed. SBX software installed.

Volume and Brightness controls working OK. Touchpad and Camera toggles working fine, CCC reports enabled/disabled.

Using my P670RG currently, everything seems to work. The trackpad, camera, wifi.
Edit: forgot to mention i had CCC and SB running
I find the extra settings of brightness and volumes wordings to be a little confusing. I can't test the volume ones as I use a G933.

If anyone can help with labels i would be thankful.
I will also add tooltips on mouse hoover.

Also if you anyone wants to suggest a feature please do. Control Station is suppose to be the one place stop for managing the system, if there are windows settings that you are constantly changing and want to make it faster i can add it here.

For the brightness you can set brightness on start up which is great, but for battery level brightness. Maybe you could change it so you could select what brightness at what battery level. Right now as i see it its not possible

On the CCC (Gaming page), for Headphone Port, they have four settings: Music, Game, Theatre, and Direct. I'm guessing it's suppose to be some sort of surround sound thingy, but I use Direct to disable it. (Default is Music)

Ok but after you resize the windows it all fits right?
I actually made this resizable for that purpose, i will still try to check on all screen / scales i can get my hands on to adjust it to look as good as possible.

Yes, it's fine. It's not a big deal, but I wanted to mention it in case there was some simple scaling that might have been overlooked to bump the window size up.

Seems fine on my Eurocom Q5 (P957HR) (1080p display). Waiting for fan control mode - could be read-only, for now; we can test RPM displayed using the settings in CCC.

I tend to use wired networking, but do have the WLAN set up. The application has neither on or off selected in this situation - much like your screenshot; wasn't sure whether WiFi was still a work-in-progress, so thought a post would be appropriate.

John said that is a known bug; he'll fix it later. It is only the initialisation that is giving trouble - if you click the correct button so that the status shown matches the actual wifi status, then it works fine.

Actually it only toggles on / off whatever button you click.
    I'll finish that tomorrow.

I have a suggestion, instead of implementing "profiles" like performance / entertainment etc, just ad a GPU / CPU ghz throttle-slider, so you can set the max-cap on the reachable / locked ghz the CPU / GPU can do, or maybe editable-named profiles, like "save to profile..." and possibility to make desktop shortcuts for that throttle-setting you could put as simple *.lnk files to the obsidian-pc-controlpanel with -parameter 1 and -parameter 2, e.g: "exefilename -throttle -1600 -1100", making the exe single-incident only listening for parameters on new executions of the exe.

Also, make two sets / split settings for most things (fan-sliders / nameable cpu/gpu-throttle/cap-slider profiles) depending on power-plugged-in or battery, that way it would use the battery-set/side of each settings when on battery and the other set/side of each settings when running with power plugged in.
