Fan Control 1.1.01 seems to be transitioning as expected. Good job.

For the Windows tuning, would it make sense to have a convenient way to set/configure the TDRDelay registry key? For some reason, I seem to need this to prevent issues (rendering, simulation) even though I get the impression it ought to be less relevant these days.

Oh, and if you can find a way to make the headphone jack work without the keyboard driver, that would be awesome.

    FAN CONTROL Info
Just so i can link in my signature i am creating this post to add general information about fan Control Control.
I will update it when needed!

Fan Control is a software, that is now in Stable Beta version, that allows you to control the fans of your CLEVO laptop.

    It currently supports systems with:
    - No dedicated GPU / Single GPU with one GPU fan / Single GPU with dual fan / SLI Systems

    Monitor temperatures and Load

GPU temperature and load is monitored using internal implementation of NVAPI with Optimus awareness
CPU temperature and load is using EC Reading (internal Engine) or Open Hardware Monitor or Core Temp.

    Control Each Fan:
/ Setup your Temperature Ranges (8 points available for each fan)
/ Define the speed for each range

    Control Each Mode Behavior:

/ Each fan mode will have its independent Behavior settings for fan speed ramp up and down
/ You can tune it for a smooth or aggressive fan transition

Absolute Security Settings ensure security and a faster response in case of reaching high temperatures
Automatic Modes are table based and stored in csv files that you can copy/share/edit/restore

    /Control it with hotkeys
/Use well known engines for a better CPU monitoring accuracy
/We are adding more famous monitoring engines so that you can use your favorite and avoid multiple pooling and added latency

Theme it to match your brand!
Change title, colors, icons, ui buttons...

Just let you know that old version still does not spin fans even it reaches fans security limit. Seems like now v1.1.01 will disable fans security automatically after switching to EC Automatic. Technically I think this issue will not happen anymore but I hope you aware of it for future iteration of Fan Control. Make sure Fan Control will not burn the laptop. lol. Btw will Clevo laptop cut the power to protect the laptop if reaching crazy temperature?

    It does.
It first throttles down performance and then turns the unit off.
Yeah use the latest version should be stable ;)

Wanna know the fun part? P870DM3 does not have this issue. But @yrekabakery's P750TM1 does.

I thought it was Prema mod but nah. Just "different".

Ok so i´m pausing Fan Control for now, it´s time to do testing in the real world or wait for any feedback, but as it sits, seems rather stable!

Time to move to Control Station / Keyboard LED again!

I will need help with two things!

    A) Someone with Free time and with the Headphone Jack Problem so i can test a solution
    B) Someone with a older model that does not support the implemented Enable / Disable Touchpad method!

If there´s someone that can help with those please PM me.

As far as I know, any person with the headphone jack problem is anybody NOT using my model, and possibly later/earlier versions of my model.

Literally every other Clevo unit does from P650SG to P750TM1. Either the jack doesn't work outright without clevo hotkey, or after sleeping and waking the unit it fails to function.

As for the enable/disable touchpad method, I don't know how you might find someone, is it the same issue like with the headphone jack? My unit has it in the EC; once touchpad drivers are installed FN + F1 works, and will literally toggle the "touchpad on/off" option in Windows 10 itself. The ONLY thing I need that hotkey doesn't provide is fan control and keyboard LED - fn + F1 for touchpad, fn + F2 for screen backlight, the audio volume buttons, etc all work without hotkey for me (prema mod, but I don't think this makes a difference since Prema didn't or couldn't add the keyboard LED toggle fn key to be an EC-level command).

    Or the Audio driver version...
Can someone explain to me step by step how to reproduce that problem?
Basically i should connect headphones, leave them connected, make the PC sleep, wake it up, headphones should not be working is that it?

Don't even need to connect. Just sleep it, wake it, then you can't use the audio jack anymore. I have tested with both headphones in and no headphones and mine worked fine to the utter confusion of @yrekabakery who thought it was a clear clevo deal

    Regarding Fan Control:

    - is it possible to disable the startup delay?
    - is it possible to get rid of OHM? i dont need it, i dont want it. always using core temp and i dont need two monitoring tools at once.

And where do i find the latest LED-tool download?

    keep it up :D

Fan Control only starts the Engine you have selected in the options.

So i don't know if I have that headphone jack problem, but i do have one on my system. After a turn on/reboot, my jack works fine. But, after some time, it stops working. When you plug in headphones, it continues to put sound out through the speakers. It takes a reboot to fix it.

I have this issue too occassionally, I think it's related to the audio driver, not CCC or these apps. Had to go to an older version and hasn't happened again.

The biggest request for me on the KeyboardLED utility is to please please please add the fourth zone for the Top Case Logo LED. Mine have been constantly on since I uninstalled CCC nearly two weeks ago, and I really want to be able to turn them off.

Little request, for us anal folks, would be that you compile the executable as "KeyboardLED.exe" instead of "KeyboardLed.exe". Thanks!

I have problem with Updater. Every time I launch a system I have to click Re-check Connection and insert order number. Few seconds delay wi-fi connection is probably reason of it. Can you do sth with it?

Yes i can!!! You just need to add a small delay!
Open Task Scheduler, click Task Scheduler Library, now double click on the Updater Task, go to tab Triggers, double click the entry there and add "Delay task for: 30 seconds"
Or wait for next update, and then you can remove from Startup and Re-Add it and it will be fixed!

I have the headphone jack problem, however slightly different from what had been described so far. As it has been documented in the past, you leave the headphones plugged in (pay attention to sound level - so play a video or music at a constant volume level), then put the laptop into sleep mode, wake it up and play the same video/music again to find that the volume level has increased without your doing. The temporary fix which has become part of my routine, is to replug the jack upon wakeup to get back to the original volume level. Essentially, the volume levels don't seem to be saved past sleep mode, not sure about hibernation, but I would assume the same.

But does the Windows volume slider actually moved? Or does it feels like it was more of a difference in amp gain?

No, the volume notch stays exactly the same along the slider, however the volume level gains in decibels regardless. You can clearly hear the change as well as it's not just a small amount of amp gain. For instance, if the volume was already moderately loud then after sleep it becomes unbearable and a replug is needed.

In addition, in the past there could also be a fuzzy sound which has also been posted here:

Do you know if this would work with my Sager NP8153-S / Clevo P650RS6-G? Also, have there been any drivers compatible with my laptop released since 2016 (especially graphics drivers)? I'm on the fence about getting this program, but I don't want to if it either won't work or won't be able to change anything.

EDIT: My laptop is not from OBSIDIAN PC, incidentally.

If it is really bugging you, to mitigate any OCD, you could:

    1) since case doesn't matter on Ms Windows based file systems, use "KeyboardLED" if you have to type it
    2) rename the .exe binary to any thing or any case you like KEYBOARDLED.EXE or keyboardled.exe or even Kb-LED.exe
    3) use the 8.3 name... Run "dir /x" from a prompt in the directory containing the file (probably KEYBOA~1.EXE)
    4) create KeyboardLED shortcut to hide the name
    5) create KeyboardLED.bat or KeyboardLED.cmd and use those files to start KeyboardLed.exe

    HTH

I'm well aware of all of those. It was a very simple request, that didn't require a demeaning book of a response from anyone but John. The request stands.

I'm glad you were aware of those quick suggestions. They are merely work arounds if the name was truly bothering anyone, and are not meant to tell John how to prioritize his own work, or to ignore your request. No ill intent... intended.

Have you checked by doing crt+alt+del ?
I've seen a rare case where it did start but the system tray icon was missing leaving the impression it did not start.
Next update should fix that ;)

    Hello John,
I have some strange GPU fan behaviour on my new P870TM as I explained here http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...tm-owners-lounge.809623/page-67#post-10779431 and your FanControl app seems to be the only decent option so far. Problem is It can't read my CPU temp and deal with the CPU fan.
Also on my 4K monitor (200% scaling at the moment) the scaling is not great. I would like to buy the app but I would like to see it running on my laptop first :)

In setting tab you have two possible engines for CPU monitoring, have you tried both?
As for scale please share a screenshot! And also notice you can resize the window!
