Hey, you made a review, don`t back out now
-
I want a video of you playing a game upside down, hanging from the ceiling.
-
-
Btw, if I'm not mistaken....Are you [Callidor], running on the newest drivers? cause...umm 20-40fps on Cod4...with a t9300+8800gtx...sounds a bit weird....has anyone else gotten the same fps playing that game??? cause thats sounds pretty crappy... for a t9300+8800gtx -
Look at the video again. Save for maybe the first second (after I unpaused it from the mission objective screen), it was running in the 40s-50s most of the time. At points in the apartment building it was in the 70s and 80s with peaks at 90s-100+

more pictures please

Dude, you`d better keep the backside a bit raised
-
I have it raised as much as the props on the underside of the notebook normally raise it..
-
-
Do you think you need to raise it that much when your not gaming? Like if your just using it with office or to surf?
-
Thanks anyway though.
-
Do people typically raise it further than the little props on the bottom of the notebook raise it by themselves? I'm curious as to how then.
-
i have never had the need to do that unless it was on a soft surface then i do it so the vents dont get blocked.. i think you are fine.

Truth is, no pictures ever do justice to things like laptops. You can look at a million pictures, but you'll always want more...and you won't be completely satisfied until you see your own for yourself
-
wow the silver is really nice..
-
IMO, the chrome top is a little tacky...but to each his own.
-
Still waiting on a red lid...that`s go great with the black...
-
i think red is the ultimate color for an ultimate gaming machine
-
As is for a good racing car
-
No, yellow is.
-
-
I look ridiculous in my Corsa, since I`m 6.3.
But I`d kill in a HummerBlack,not red.
I was considering even painting the lid red for my RU ... -
i have a spare lid maybe i can paint one
-
Yea, try red. And take pics!
-
I'm aware sager and eurocom are clevo resellers. -
-
This comes from PNB, a Sager reseller:

Here...this should be much better

Oh are you serious. Thats just gay. How the hell can they not offer the black with silver trim. And how is it so many combinations, its 1 more. Obviously no one is going to get the silver and orange so scratch that. I was under the impression the silver trim model from Xotic was all black with silver trim.

MICHAELSD01 Apple/Alienware Master
Nice review, Callidor! Would you mind comparing the Sager to the m15x in build quality, overall screen quality, and size? Thanks! Enjoy your new laptop!
-
Michaels I think thats something thats been covered pretty extensively all over the forums. Basically the M15x build quality is pretty crap. The Sager's is pretty solid (except for the headphone jack). Also why would you ever buy the m15x with all the heat problems its having?
-
MICHAELSD01 Apple/Alienware Master
I wouldn't buy one until the end of the year at least, if I do. People usually have different ideas in terms of build quality, so it'd be nice to get a direct comparison from some that's owned both.

As I said earlier, the NP5793 is constructed much more solidly than the m15x. This thing feels completely rugid and durable and you're never really concerned for its well-being. I liked the display on the m15x, and I think I made the right choice going with the 1440x900 with it. For a 17" screen, however, especially one as amazing as on the Sager, 1920x1200 is the way to go. This is really an excellent screen and the glossy finish works well. Everything is displayed very clearly, and when gaming, stuff really seems like it's right in front of you. As for size, this is a litle bit bigger than the m15x, but not by much. Strangely enough, the m15x has a bigger feel to it...it's very hard to explain. I think it's because it's so wide for a 15.4" notebook. It kind of feels like it's something large trying to be small..whereas the Sager knows that it's pretty large, and handles it well. One benefit to the increased size is the inclusion of a number pad (Which I use for playing FFXI, but I guess a lot of people won't care too much about it). The downside to the size is the weight though. I guess overall it's not much heavier than then m15x, but it really does feel like it is. This is a less mobile package, but I think the gains are more than worth the sacrifices.

smood trust me in person the orange is really very nice. i was in the same place you are and was going to wait for the silver.. but at that time sager told me (lol lied to me i should say but its all good) they were 100% not going to bring the silver to the usa. so i went with the orange thinking i would really regret it.. trust me when its in your hands its really not at all bad and really pretty nice.. i dont think you would dislike it nearly as much as you may think
-
The orange comes out looking bright and gawdy in photographs. In person, it's more of a rusty metallic color. It's very nice.
